Paul R. Spiller
Paul R., Spiller, 49, of Lake Villa, IL, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, March 25, 2006.
He was born in Libertyville, IL on December 2, 1956, the son of the late Alice and Robert Spiller. He was a life long resident of Lake Villa. He was a carpenter by trade and belonged to Local 150. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. On July 2, 1985, he married
his wife, Kari.
He is survived by his wife, Kari; his son, Brandon; his sister, Terry (late Greg) Meyer of Lake Villa; and brothers, Roy (Monica) Spiller of Lake Villa and Gary (Tammy) Spiller of Lake Villa. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be at 7 PM on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Rte. 83), Lake Villa, IL. Interment will be private. Richard E. Stone
Richard E. Stone, 68 of Marinette, WI, formerly of Libertyville died peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 23, 2006. He was born February 3, 1938 in Waukegan, IL, and was a 25 year resident of Libertyville.
In 1993, Mr. Stone retired as Postmaster for North Chicago, IL. He had served in the U.S. Army and was past president of Libertyville Little League. He was active in the Grayslake 4-H Club and the Libertyville Boys Club Football League. He was an avid Bowler and fisherman and a devoted grandfather who loved to give rides on his tractor and spend the day fishing with his grandchildren. Dick was a member of the Marinette Moose Lodge and was presently employed at the Marinette Sears store. Dick loved the life of the Northwoods, where he would vacation as a child.
Survived by his wife of 30 years, Pattie (nee Pacatte); his children, Kim (Don) Hammons, Andy (Glenda), Domenick (Crista), Todd (Jamie) and Jonathan (Julie); 15 grandchildren; his brothers, James (Barb) Stone of Edgewood, IA, Steve (Debbie) Stone of Marinette, WI; his sisters, Doris (William) Hanke of Leesburg, FL, Diane (Gary) Christensen of Rugby, ND and Corinth, MS and Denise (Duane) Carlson of Marinette, WI; his sister-in-law, Steffi Stone; and many nieces and nephews.

MaryAnn Witasick (nee Militech)
MaryAnn Witasick, (nee Militech), 82, died Friday at Victory Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Witasick was born in North Chicago and attended grade school there. She graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1941. She was accepted at the University of Chicago but suffered an injury to her hands that kept her from attending.
Mrs. Witasick met and married
Bernard Witasick, a career Marine, in 1948. She worked as a secretary for the Federal Government as her family moved for her husband's military assignments, living in Pennsylvania and North Carolina before returning to Waukegan for their retirement.
Known for her bright intelligence and great love of learning, Mrs. Witasick read widely and enjoyed collecting books. She was the family historian keeping touch with relatives in Croatia and Canada throughout her life. She took great pride in the achievements of her family, especially her parents, both immigrants from Croatia. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was generous and kind to all. Mrs. Witasick was a devoted member of the Catholic Church.
She leaves her husband, Bernard, of 56 years, her son, Bernard and her sister, Theresa Hutton and many nieces and nephews. Her parents Jack and Madeline Militech of North Chicago, preceded her in death.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 31, 2006 at St. Dismas Church, 2600 Sunset Ave., Waukegan. Interment will be at Ascension cemetery in Libertyville. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 A.M. to time of Mass.

Eugene J. "Gene" Gross
Eugene J. "Gene" Gross, 72, of Beach Park, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 surrounded by his family at St. Lukes Hospital in Milwaukee.
Gene was born December 16, 1931 in Waukegan and had lived in Beach Park all of his life. He was a member of Trinity United Lutheran Church in Waukegan and was self-employed as Gross and Schmidt Well Drilling in Beach Park. He was also a member of Zion-Benton Moose where he bowled with the Moose League for many years, was a volunteer with Bonnie Brook Fire Department for 39 years, served as a Troop Leader for Beach Park Boy Scouts and belonged to the Illinois Water Well Association. Gene was an avid fisherman, camper, Bears and Cubs fan.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty; children Darlene (Rick) Holland of Burlington, Wisconsin, Steven (Peggy) Gross and Eugene (Michelle) Gross both of Beach Park; eleven grandchildren Brandon, Blake, Miles, Destiny, Danielle, Michelle, Stacy, Stephanie, Sarah, Alix and Eugene; five great-grandchildren Marissa, Riley, Duane, Jordan and Devan; and one sister Margaret Bryant of Golden, Mississippi and formerly of Winthrop Harbor; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Julius and Alvina Gross and by his grandmother Amelia Schmidt.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 29, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with Pastor Dennis Kelly of Trinity United Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Sunday, March 28th, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Irving L. Groves
Irving L. Groves, 85, of Antioch, IL passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2004 surrounded by his family. Irving was born September 5, 1918 to George and Bernice (Ferry) Groves in Huron, S.D.
He was united in marriage to Lucille Smith on March 24, 1937 by Pastor Hart in Medford, WI. Irving owned and operated Groves Tool Service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid outdoorsman. Irving was an active participant in his church, and knew and loved Jesus, as the Lord and Savior of the World. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille of Antioch; a son, Delmar (Darlene) Groves of Antioch, IL; a daughter, Darlene (John) Harris of Geneva, IL; seven granddaughters, Dawn (Charles) Quane, Lisa Duguay, Diane (Mickey) Betkowski, Laurie (Ed) Lamb, Stacy (Mark) Golz, Judy (Dean) Aldridge, and Cherri (Paul) Cameron; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Orlo (Donna Mae) Groves of Vernonwood, WI; two sisters, Phyllis Smith of New London, WI and Elaine Emry of Phoenix, AZ. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Bernice.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the SONNENBURG FAMILY FUNERAL HOME located at 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah, WI. Pastor Richard A. Krocka will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Garden.

Ray Hacke
Ray Hacke, age 77, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the North Chicago Veterans Hospital. He was born October 15, 1926 in Carlinville, IL. Ray was the owner of Ray Hacke Trucking in Lake County, IL for over 50 years and was actively working until his illness, last Spring.
Ray was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War conflict.
Ray leaves his loving family to cherish his memory. His loving wife, and companion of 30 years, Sherry; his beloved children. Patrick Hacke, Roger (Peggy) Hacke, Robin (Toni) Hacke, Polly (Al) Zyss, Scott (Kathy) Hacke, Becky (Brian) Hanson, Vic Otterson, Randy Otterson, Ronald Otterson and Steve Otterson. He also leaves 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Surviving sisters are Alice and Fern. Ray is also survived by many friends and co-workers, who all frequented the local restaurants, Ted's and Louie's.
He was preceded in death by one son, Danny Hacke and one brother, Albert Hacke.
The funeral service for Ray will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2004 at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, Richard S. Zaehringer, Director, 1475 N. cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL 60031. William H. Innis
William H. Innis, age 84, a resident of Ingleside, IL for the past 48 years, formerly of Round Lake and Chicago, IL, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at home.
He was born in Chicago, IL on June 22, 1919 to Chauncy and Irene (nee Ryan) Innis and was united in marriage to Dorothy Domas on December 27, 1943.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII and had been employed by International Harvestor for 32 years as an Air Tool Mechanic Repairman retiring in 1982. He was a member of the UAW Local 1643 of Libertyville, IL, and a longtime member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside, where he served as an usher.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy nee Domas with whom he was united in marriage on December 27, 1943 in Chicago; his sons, Ronald (Cheri) Innis, Danville, Indiana, Patrick (Willa) Innis, Fox Lake, and Michael Innis, St. Petersburg, FL; five grandchildren, Scott Innis, Houston, Texas, Jeff Innis, Oklahoma City, OK, Kristine (Jacob) Judd, Antioch, IL, Karen Innis, Fox Lake, and Kelly (Shawn) Divoky, Lake Villa; four great grandchildren, Tyler, Caitlyn, Payton, and Kaden.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Innis in 2003; and by a brother, Charles Innis in 1986.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, Ltd., 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake, IL (The Chapel On The Lake - 1 blk. P. Wayne Johnson
P. Wayne Johnson, 63, of Lincolnshire, IL passed away Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the Lake Forest Hospital. He was born September 30, 1940 in Chicago, was a former resident of Green Oaks, living in Lincolnshire for the past five years. He was a graduate of Lane Tech High School and DeVry Tech in Chicago. Wayne was the owner and President of Johnson Power, Ltd, a manufacturing company in Broadview and was a sincere and generous employer.
He was also an accomplished musician, playing the drums in a dance band for many events, including weddings. Wayne was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Libertyville, was an avid sportsman, enjoying boating and fishing. One of his greatest joys, was spending time with family and friends at his vacation home in Door County, WI.
He was the beloved husband of Arlene (nee Demann); devoted father to Cheryl (Chad) Corriveau of Monterey, CA, Lisa (Robert) Honig of Elmhurst and Kurt Johnson (Colleen Matheu) of Houston, TX; loving Gimpy to Trevor, Brandon, Chloe and Audrey; dear brother to Ross (Pamela) Johnson of Inverness; and kind uncle to seven nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Helen Johnson; and by his nephew, Nils.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, March 27 at 9:30 AM followed by a service at 11 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 29700 N. St. Mary's Road, Libertyville. Jens L.C. Lademann
Jens L. C. Lademann, 61, of Lake Villa, Illinois, died peacefully early Thursday morning March 25, 2004 at home.
He was from Denmark, born May 28, 1942 and came to the United States in 1967. He married
Jean Schreiber on March 22, 1986, with whom he had just celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Lademann was employed as a mechanical engineer at Fairbanks & Morris Manufacturing Co. in Beloit, Wisconsin, for 18 years, and was also employed at Alliant Tech in Joliet, Illinois, and most recently at American Metal Fiber in Lake Bluff.
He attended St. Mark Lutheran Church in Lindenhurst and also belonged to the Danish Brotherhood in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was very proud of his Danish heritage.
Mr. Lademann's hobbies included traveling, water sports especially sailing in his younger years, NASCAR racing and playing on his home computer. He also had a love for the ocean.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; one daughter, Julie (Greg) Yerke of Janesville, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Hunter and Liesl Yerke; and his mother, Claire Lademann of Denmark. He was preceded by his father, Karl.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 28, 2004 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1822 Grand Avenue, Lindenhurst, IL, with Rev. Terry R. Breum officiating. Interment will be private on Monday at Millburn cemetery.
Friends may call from 1:30 PM Sunday until time of service only at St. Mark Lutheran Church.

John Patton
John Patton, 80, of Waukegan, died Friday, March 26, 2004 at Victory Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. On November 25, 1950, he married
Rebecca Kahooluhi. John owned and operated Patton Screw Products in Waukegan for 34 years until his retirement in 1999.
He was an avid bowler, having participated innumerous leagues in Waukegan and North Chicago and bowled in numerous national tournaments. He also enjoyed golf and belonged to golf leagues at Foss Park in North Chicago and was also known for his love for animals.
John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rebecca; a sister, Thelma (George) O'Flaherty of Waukegan; several nieces and nephews, Kelley O'Flaherty Fisher, Patrick O'Flaherty, Janet (Ron) Clift and Al (Sara) Hancock and Courtney, Mary Lou O'Flaherty and Jacquie (Dom) Sacramento; and numerous great nieces and nephews; three godchildren, James A. Lutter of Hawaii, Margaret Zirkelbach of Vernon Hills, IL and James Pierce of Round Lake, IL.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Patton in 1952; three sisters, Elynor DesJardins, Evelyn Anderson and Rowena Hancock-Breniser; as well as three nephews, Thomas M. O'Flaherty, John S. O'Flaherty and A.G. Hancock.

Haydee Rivera
Haydee Rivera, 73, of Waukegan passed away on Friday, March 26, 2004 at her home. She was born January 26, 1931 in Ciales, Puerto Rico and had been a Waukegan resident for 45 years.
She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Puerto Rican Society.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Rivera; children, Dora (Charles) Jacobson of Jacksonville, FL, William (Darlene) Rivera of Kenosha, WI, Alfredo (Pamela Gunchick) Rivera of Elgin, IL, Luz Elena Rivera of Puerto Rico, Laura Rivera of Clearwater, FL, Hilda Rivera of Ligonier, IN, Jose (Alicia) Rivera, Jr. of Mundelein and Angelo (Ericka) Rivera of Waukegan; 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 10 brothers and sisters, Mery, Armando, Ismael, Iluminado, Angel, Hilda, Luis, Gladys, Lydia and Laura; also by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Buenaventura and Efigenia Rivera-Zayas; also her sister, Luisa Rivera and brother, Buenaventura Rivera, Jr.
