Colleen M. Stevens
Colleen M. Stevens, 51 years old of Trevor, WI, formerly of Waukegan, IL, passed away Friday, March 26, 2004 at her home after an extended illness. She was born August 19, 1952 in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late Ransom and Geraldine (Wieber) Hanon.
She had lived in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, before moving to Trevor in 1999. Colleen worked as a switch maker for the Cherry Electric Co. in Pleasant Prairie. On January 31, 2003 she married
David V. Stevens in Kenosha, WI.
She was the Beloved wife of David, Loving Mother of Michael Washburn of Waukegan, IL, Fond Sister of Kathy Christians of San Diego, CA, and Darlene Ramig of Waukegan, IL; Loving Aunt of Nicole Christians, Sean Ramig and Danielle Pruetting; Dear Daughter-in-law of Barbara and the late Glenn (Skip) Stevens; sister-in-law of Robert (Lori) Stevens, Dana (Scott) Miller and Dawn (Peter) Pruetting. Also survived by many good friends and employees of Cherry Electric.
Memorial Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83), Antioch, IL. Interment will be private. Visitation will be at the time of services.

Paul E. Brown Sr.
Paul E. Brown Sr., 64 years old, of Wilmot, WI, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Waukegan, IL, He was born January 13, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Ralph and Florence (Gator) Brown.
Paul served in the U.S. Navy and had lived in Lindenhurst, IL, before moving to Wisconsin in 1978. He was a former member of the Westosha Kiwanis Club, loved model trains, computers and taking pictures of his grandchildren. He worked for Komatsu Corp in Vernon Hills, IL in Quality Control and Warranty and Service from 1967 until 2005, when he retired. He continued to work part-time with the company as a consultant.
On May 12, 1962, he married
Vincenta "Vin" Rukstales in Waukegan and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2002.
Survivors include three sons, Paul J. (Shirley) and Andy J. (Lisa), both of Twin Lake, WI, and Tony R. (Laurie) of Grayslake, IL; his father, Ralph "Bud" Brown of Lansdale, PA; his mother-in-law, Violet Rukstales of Wilmot, WI; six grandchildren, Scott (Carolyn), Romeo, Sebastian, Abigail, Andie and Delaney.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Brown in 1972; a brother, Ralph Brown Jr; and two sisters, Barbara Spath and Nancy McIntire.
Funeral Services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at St. John Church, Twin Lakes, WI. Interment will be in the Parish cemetery. June A. Carlberg
June A. Carlberg, after a courageous fight with cancer, died in Harrisonburg, VA on Sunday, March 26, 2006.
Born June 7, 1925 in Duluth, MN, she was the only child and daughter of the late Gustav K. and Helga Johansson Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Earl Stranger; and her son, Douglas Roy Carlberg.
June was educated in Evanston, IL and spent most of her life there. She had a long career as an interior designer.
She is survived by her husband, Roy F. Carlberg of Harrisonburg; her son, Steven K. Carlberg of Hoffman Estates, IL; a daughter, Diane C. (David H.) Ehrenpreis of Harrisonburg; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Carlberg of Lindenhurst, IL; four grandchildren, Amie Carlberg (Andrew) Wells, Erik Carlberg, Vanessa and Celia Ehrenpreis.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the chapel of Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, with Rev. Doyle Payne officiating.

Robert L. Daley
Robert L. Daley, 77, of Waukegan, passed away March 22, 2006 at Pinnacle Health Care in Waukegan. He was born November 20, 1928 in Waukegan and was a life long resident. Bob was a well known barber at Flagg's Barber Shop in Waukegan for over 50 years. He liked travel and sports, especially golf.
He is survived by his son, Dan (Cindy) Daley of Gurnee; twin granddaughters, Kristen and Samantha Daley, also of Gurnee; a sister, Pat (Harry) Miltimore of Waukegan; a brother, John (Mary) Daley of Mattoon, IL; many nieces and nephews; and longtime special friend and companion, Rhea Mackey of Gurnee.
Bob was preceded in death by a son, Jim Daley; two brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 305 cemetery Road, Gurnee, from 5 PM until time of Memorial Service at 7:30 PM. Interment Private.
Gary K. Dunham
Gary K. Dunham, 63, of Lake Villa, IL, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 25, 2006.
He was born in Marshall, MN on June 26, 1942, the son of the late Iva and Lorne Dunham. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lake Villa. He retired from the U.S. Navy, after 21 years of service. On May 24, 1969, he married
his wife, Geri, treasuring 36 years of marriage together. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed numerous hobbies and was a caring animal lover. He was a loving husband, cherished father and true friend and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Geri; his daughter, Rebecca; his brothers, Lorne (Carol) Dunham of Texas and Dale (Pat) Dunham of Minnesota. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, David.

Anthony S. Konopka
Anthony S. Konopka, 88, of Lindenhurst, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan, IL.
He was born in Sobieski, WI on September 3, 1917, the son of the late Anna and John Konopka.
He was a resident of Lindenhurst for the past 32 years having moved there from Chicago. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lake Villa. He was founder and owner of Micro-Form, Inc. a manufacturing company until his retirement in 2001. On October 15, 1938, he married
his wife, Annette.
He is survived by his wife, Annette; his son, Robert (Irma) of Florida; his grandson, Kenneth (Dawn Baldwin) of Wisconsin; his brothers, Al (Margie), Joe (Ursula), and Casey; and his sisters, Agnes (John) Held and Helen (Howard) LaPlante.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ben and Frank; and his sisters, Theresa Konopka and Mary Stock.

Tawanna L. Duncan-Ridgeway
Tawanna L. Duncan-Ridgeway, was born on August 22, 1980 in Waukegan, IL, to Darlene (Duncan) Pickett and Keith Hodge. She graduated from Waukegan High School on June 8, 1998. Tawanna continued her education in Human Services at the College of Lake County, Grayslake, IL. She was united in marriage to Aaron Ridgeway of Waukegan, IL, to this union three children were born.
Tawanna departed this life peacefully on March 22, 2006.

Paul R., Spiller, 49, of Lake Villa, IL, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, March 25, 2006.
He was born in Libertyville, IL on December 2, 1956, the son of the late Alice and Robert Spiller. He was a life long resident of Lake Villa. He was a carpenter by trade and belonged to Local 150. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. On July 2, 1985, he married
his wife, Kari.
He is survived by his wife, Kari; his son, Brandon; his sister, Terry (late Greg) Meyer of Lake Villa; and brothers, Roy (Monica) Spiller of Lake Villa and Gary (Tammy) Spiller of Lake Villa. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Mary Stanovnik, 98, of Waukegan, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the home of her daughter. She was born August 21, 1907 in Lasko, Slovenia to Anton and Helena Puh. She was a member of Queen of Peace Church in North Chicago.
She married
Anton Stanovnik on July 10, 1927 in Slovenia who preceded her in death on June 7, 1985. She was also preceded by three brothers and three sisters in Slovenia.
Mary was a past member of the Slovene and Wire Mill Pensioners Clubs and was also a member of the American Fraternal Union and was secretary and treasurer for many years.
She is survived by a son, Anthony (Nancy) Stanovnik of Edgewater, FL; and her daughter, Sylvia Eklof of Waukegan; grandchildren, Kathy Newyear of Zion, IL, Karen Benard of Glendale, AZ, Vicki and Michael (Lynn) Eklof of Indianapolis, IN; and great-grandchildren, Whitney and Megan, Kiel and Deanna; and several nieces and nephews in Slovenia.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Queen of Peace Church, with Fr. James E. Merold officiating. Interment will follow at North Shore Garden of Memories, North Chicago.
Friends may call at the church from 9:00 AM Tuesday until time of Mass only.

Richard E. Stone
Richard E. Stone, 68 of Marinette, WI, formerly of Libertyville died peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 23, 2006. He was born February 3, 1938 in Waukegan, IL, and was a 25 year resident of Libertyville.
In 1993, Mr. Stone retired as Postmaster for North Chicago, IL. He had served in the U.S. Army and was past president of Libertyville Little League. He was active in the Grayslake 4-H Club and the Libertyville Boys Club Football League. He was an avid Bowler and fisherman and a devoted grandfather who loved to give rides on his tractor and spend the day fishing with his grandchildren. Dick was a member of the Marinette Moose Lodge and was presently employed at the Marinette Sears store. Dick loved the life of the Northwoods, where he would vacation as a child.
Survived by his wife of 30 years, Pattie (nee Pacatte); his children, Kim (Don) Hammons, Andy (Glenda), Domenick (Crista), Todd (Jamie) and Jonathan (Julie); 15 grandchildren; his brothers, James (Barb) Stone of Edgewood, IA, Steve (Debbie) Stone of Marinette, WI; his sisters, Doris (William) Hanke of Leesburg, FL, Diane (Gary) Christensen of Rugby, ND and Corinth, MS and Denise (Duane) Carlson of Marinette, WI; his sister-in-law, Steffi Stone; and many nieces and nephews.

Doris Blanchard
Doris Blanchard (affectionately called Ms. B.). March 8, 1911 - March 23, 2003. On the morning of Sunday, March 23, 2003 God sent His angels to call home from St. Therese Provena Medical Center, Doris Blanchard, 92 of North Chicago, IL to rest in her heavenly place.
Doris Blanchard was born in Coahoma, MS to the late David and Willie Anne Beckwith. She was the first child of seven children born to this union. She moved to Waukegan, IL with her family in 1936 and united with Shiloh Baptist Church in Waukegan, IL prior to 1952. She later became one of the founding members of Antioch Baptist Church of Waukegan, IL. She was a very devoted and dedicated member of Antioch Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, worked on the Missionary Board, served as Sunday School Superintendent, and held the position of church treasurer. She and her late husband Wesly Blanchard owned and operated the B&B; Cleaners located on the South Side of Waukegan, IL for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Millie and Daisy Beckwith, Cynthia McCaster, Vera McKinney, her brothers Percy (Jimmy) Beckwith and Herman Beckwith.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories a devoted daughter Wilma Wells; a special nephew Monty Beckwith; a special niece Kimberly C. Johnson; dear and caring friends Ella Miller and Brenda Collier; a host of relatives, friends and her loving Antioch Baptist Church Family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2003 with visitation being at 12:00 p.m. from the Antioch Baptist Church, Waukegan, IL with Pastor Michael C. Green, officiating. Harriet H. Conn, 83, of Libertyville, IL, passed away Monday, March 24, 2003 at the Winchester House in Libertyville. She was born November 24, 1919 in Chicago, was a former resident of Northbrook and a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Winnetka.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Clara Hofman and by her husband George Conn. She is survived by many friends.
