Mattie Yoder
Services for Mattie E. Yoder, 81, of rural Topeka, Ind. were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Daniel Yoder residence in Topeka with arrangements by the Urley-Renner Funeral Home in Ligonier, Ind. Burial was in the Yoder Cemetery in Shipshewana, Ind.
The former Arthur resident died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
Survivors include sons, Daniel and Orvan, both of Topeka; brothers, Willis of Tuscola, Adlai of Sullivan and Daniel of Elkart; sisters, Verna Miller and Susanna Herschberger, both of Arcola, Edna Otto of Leonard, Mo. and Sovilla Gingerich and Elsie Schrock, both of Arthur; ten grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
Louis Fishel
Services for Louis Aaron Fishel, 82, of Sullivan were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Sullivan First Baptist Church. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan with arrangements by the Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan.
He died at 1:16 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2000 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Born July 7, 1917 in Argenta, he was a son of Louis F. and Hattie Williams Fishel. He had been a clerk for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Sullivan First Baptist Church, Bethany Odd Fellows Lodge #749 and Rhoda Rebekah Lodge #167. He married Wilma Webb Jan. 1, 1942 in Sullivan, and she survives
He is also survived by his brother, Larkin Fishel of Mt. Zion.
Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Memorials are suggested to the Sullivan First Baptist Church Elevator Fund.
Mabel Harlin
Services for Mrs. “Ted” (Mabel Marie Adrian) Harlin, 85, of Sullivan were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial was in the Arthur Cemetery in Arthur.
She died at 4:20 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2000 in the Sullivan Health Care Center
Born Nov. 28, 1914 in Shelby County, she was a daughter of Oliver and Iva Little Adrian. She was retired from the Brown Shoe Co. and was a member of the Moultrie County Senior Citizens Center. She married Joe E. “Ted” Harlin June 17, 1946, and he died July 3, 1974.
Survivors include a son, Bill Harlin of Sullivan; daughters, Marie Yarnell of Bethany and Roberta “Bert” Lewis of Mode; brothers, Wayne Adrian of Findlay and Carl Adrian of Moweaqua; sisters, Elizabeth Adrian, Joy Adrian and Hazel Adrian, all of Decatur, and Rozena Adrian of Peoria.
Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
The family suggests memorials to the Moultrie County Senior Citizens or the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
Harold Hedrick
Harold H. Hedrick, 82, of Decatur died at 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2000 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur with visitation from 5 to 7 tonight (Wednesday). Burial will be in the International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Moweaqua.
Born April 10, 1918 in Decatur, he was a son of Elisha and Effie Ann Reynolds Hedrick. He was a retired truck driver and a World War II Army veteran. He married Lillian Jean Jackson, and she died Aug. 18, 1987.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Glen (Wilma) Stanley of Greenville, Ky. Mrs. Ray (Merickia) Singer-Frank of New Berlin; sons, Ronald William Henderson of Beardstown and Richard Hurcomb of Kansas; sister, Betty Burke of Bethany; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, one sister and one great-grandchild preceded him in death.
Earl Horsman
Services for Earl Horsman, 85, of Herrick were held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) in the First Christian Church in Herrick. Burial was in the Myers Cemetery in Herrick with the Lockart & Sons Funeral Home in Cowden in charge of arrangements.
The former Sullivan resident died at 8:49 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2000 in Shelby Memorial Hospital in Shelbyville.
Born Dec. 21, 1914 in Herrick, he was the son of Vaughn and Mattie Robertson Horsman. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Christian Church in Herrick. He married Silver Bumgardner May 23, 1938 in Rockville, Ind., and she died June 1, 1994.
Survivors include sons, Ken Horsman of Charleston and David Horsman of Sullivan; daughter, Mrs. Russ (Nelda) Baker of Magdalena, N.M.; brothers, Oral Horsman of Shelbyville and Ivan Horsman of Sullivan; sister, Doris Lichtenwalter of Show Low, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
One infant daughter, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Mary Kroenlein
Services for Mrs. Malcolm (Mary) Kroenlein, 81, of Nokomis were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis. Burial was in the Nokomis Cemetery.
She died Saturday, June 3, 2000.
She was a retired cook and a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Nokomis and the Helping Hand Club. She married Malcolm Kroenlein, and he survives.
Other survivors include sons, Keith of Nokomis and Kevin of Pana; daughters, Sharon Smith of Sherman and Linda Kroenlein of Springfield; brother, Kenneth Reynolds of Carlyle; sisters, Pauline Williams of Shelbyville and Ruth Johnson of Bethany; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one step grandchild; and one step great-grandchild.
One daughter, one sister and one half sister preceded her in death.
‘Mindi’ Roberts
Services for Melinda “Mindi” Roberts, 33, of Humboldt were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home in Mattoon. Burial was in the Humboldt Township Cemetery.
She died at 5:58 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2000 in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County.
Born Nov. 11, 1966 in Mattoon, she was a daughter of Weldon E. and Laura B. Key Kingery. She worked in production at Lender’s Bagel Factory in Mattoon and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include twins, Olivia and Lindsey Roberts, both at home; father and stepmother, Weldon and Donna Kingery of rural Sullivan; her mother and stepfather, Dave and Laura Nottingham of Mattoon; brother, Thomas Kingery of Mattoon; and grandmothers, Loretta Key of Montrose and Virginia Kingery of Greenup.
One brother preceded her in death.

Mary Behen
Services for Mrs. Clayton (Mary Edna Landgrebe) Behen, 99, of Sullivan were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the First Christian Church in Sullivan with the Rev. Dr. Dave Leslie officiating. Burial was in Keller Cemetery in Lovington with the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan in charge of arrangements.
She died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2000 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
She was born Dec. 13, 1900 in Moultrie County, the daughter of Jacob and Susanna Genner Landgrebe. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sullivan and a member of the Lovington First Christian Church. She was past matron of Eastern Star Crystal Chapter #39 in Sullivan. She married Clayton C. Behen Feb. 3, 1919 in Lovington, and he preceded her in death in 1975.
Survivors include sons, Harold L. Behen and wife Ruth of Covington, Ind. and Clayton Behen of Addison; daughters, Hilda Maxine Kral and husband Charles of Rhinelander, Wis. and Roseanna Martin of Bella Vista, Ark.; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Memorials to the First Christian Church in Sullivan, the Titus Presbyterian Home in Sullivan or the Moultrie County Cancer Society are suggested.
