Myla Jo Douglas
Memorial services for Mrs. Raymond (Myla Jo Hooper) Douglas, 51, of Greers Ferry, Ark. were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Antioch Christian Church with the Heber Springs Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The former Bethany resident died June 16, 2003 in Heber Springs, Ark.
Born Oct. 31, 1951 in Decatur, she was the daughter of Edward Reeves and Stella Marie Robertson Hooper. She graduated from the Bethany public schools and attended college at UCA in Conway, Ark., and she owned a local store in Arkansas. She married Raymond Douglas Jr. Feb. 20, 1982, and he survives.
Other survivors include her father of Lovington; son, Bradley Edward Bohm of Greers Ferry; sisters, Mrs. Jim (Cyndi Sue) Turney of Herrick, Mrs. Donald (Lyndi Lou) Richert of Lovington and Tyna Marie McDuffie of La Vergne, Tenn.; one granddaughter; and grandmother, Hazel Robertson Pierce of Mt. Zion.
One brother preceded her in death.

Zadie Gregory
Mrs. ‘Edward’ (Zadie Meador) Gregory, 92, of Sullivan died at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2003 in Eastview Terrace in Sullivan.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan with visitation one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan.
Born Sept. 13, 1910, she was the daughter of John Dave and Emma Susan Jent Meador. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Fountain Run, Ky. She married Elija “Edward” Gregory Nov. 12, 1927 in Allen County, Ky., and he died July 26, 1977.
She is survived by sisters, Stella Brown of Sullivan and Catherin Yarnell of Wayne City.
Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

‘Lottie’ Jones
Graveside services for Charlotte D. “Lottie” Jones, 94, of Sullivan were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Beardstown with the Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan in charge of arrangements.
The former Beardstown resident died at 10:35 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2003 in the Illinois Masonic Home in Sullivan.
Born Feb. 14, 1909 in Beardstown, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Congregational Church in Beardstown. She married Gailerd G. Jones May 29, 1934 in Beardstown, and he died March 25, 1966.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. James (Susan) Reynolds of Sullivan and Mrs. Robert (Sally) Ramsey of Ft. Collins, Col.; sister, Isabel Lawler of Beardstown; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials to the First Congregational Church in Beardstown are suggested.

Mrs. David Otto
Mrs. David (Marilyn Jean Kauffman) Otto, 46, of Arcola died at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, June 29, 2003 in Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in the residence of David J. Otto in Arcola with visitation from now until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in Arthur.
Born May 17, 1957 in Decatur, she was the daughter of Joe W. and Alma Herschberger Kauffman. She married David J. Otto Oct. 13, 1977 in Arthur, and he survives.
Other survivors include her mother; sons, Daniel, Marion and Paul Otto, all of Arcola; daughters, Katie Ann Miller of Arthur, Christina, Karen, Kathryn, Rosemary and Delores Otto, all of Arcola; brothers, Willard Kauffman and Lynn Kauffman, both of Arcola and Robert Kauffman of Tuscola; and sisters, Ruth Ann Pinson of Atwood and Alta Fern Kauffman of Arcola.
She was preceded by her father.

Peggy Fleming
Funeral services for Mrs. Daniel (Peggy J. Crockett) Fleming, 70, of Sullivan were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan.
She died at 5:08 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 in her home.
She was born March 3, 1932, the daughter of Clyde Blonson and Maurine Wilson Crockett. She was retired from the First National Bank of Sullivan. She married Daniel D. Fleming Oct. 7, 1949 in Sullivan, and he preceded her in death Sept. 3, 1982.
She is survived by her sons, Rod Fleming of Sullivan and Scott Fleming and wife Lisa of Boise, Idaho; daughter, Danell Kreher and husband Lindsey of Decatur; brother, Francis Crockett of Sullivan; grandchildren, Angela Johnson of Sullivan, Bryan Johnson of Mattoon, Jason Fleming and Elizabeth Fleming, both of Sullivan, Jordanne and Brooke Fleming of Boise, Idaho; and great-grandchildren, Kali Forsyth, Kohlten Johnson and Ashlyn Bennett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers.
Memorials to the Sullivan Fire and Ambulance Dept. are suggested.

Wilbur McCoy
Wilbur P. McCoy, 56, of Bethany died at 9:33 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2002 in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial, with military rites, will be in the Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan.
He was born Aug. 16, 1945 in Sullivan, the son of Wilbur P. and Clara Lorene Farlow McCoy Sr. He was in the Army during Vietnam, member of the 1st Battalion (Airmobile) of the 506th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross for meritorious service in Vietnam and the Army Commendation Medal. He was also awarded the Air Medal for participating in more than 25 aerial missions over hostile territory between Nov. 1, 1970 and Feb. 28, 1971. He was a retired laborer out of the Local 159 in Decatur and a member of American Legion Post #68 in Sullivan. He married Sandi J. Fox March 17, 1964 in Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Sandi of Bethany; mother, Lorene of Sullivan; sons, Darrin McCoy and Todd McCoy, both of Decatur; daughter, Jodie Allyn of Port Clinton, Ohio; sister, Kay Dorman of Decatur; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie Corn, and his father, Wilbur.
Memorials in care of the family are suggested.

‘Peg’ Drews
Services for Mrs. Leslie (Marguerite "Peg" Chapman) Drews, 85, of Champaign were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Champaign. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Gardens with the Morgan Memorial Home in Savoy in charge of arrangements.
She died at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2002 in Provena Covenant Hospital.
Born Feb. 12, 1917 in Sullivan, she was the daughter of James and Rose Lilly Chapman. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She married Leslie H. Drews Dec. 24, 1935 in Danville, and he died Sept. 3, 2000.
Survivors include sons, Larry E. Drews of Michigan and Michael A. Drews of Champaign; daughter, Nancy K. Drews Stone of Champaign; sister, Geneva Butts Haley of Vista, Cal.; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
One brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
Memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church are suggested.

Ezekial Gautier
A reception to celebrate the life of Ezekiel James Irwin Gautier, infant son of Jason and Michelle Irwin Gautier of Rockford, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Heartland Community Church in Rockford with arrangements by Olson Funeral Chapels Ltd. in Rockford.
He died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2002 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 11, 2002 in Rockford.
Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Jessie Fyffe of Carbondale and Ken and Paula Irwin of Poplar Grove; great-grandparents, John and Edna Mae Carr of Dalton City; and James Gautier of Sullivan.
One grandfather and four great-grandparents preceded him in death.
