Geraldine Woolridge
Services for Mrs. Cecil (Geraldine Denier) Woolridge Sr., 76, of Bethany were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial was in Moultrie County Memorial Park in rural Bethany.
She died at 8:56 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Born April 7, 1925 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Roy and Leaful Gerard Denier. She attended the New Life Tabernacle Church in Sullivan. She married Cecil Woolridge Sr. Feb. 20, 1950 in Kirksville, and he died Oct. 16, 1998.
Survivors include a son, Cecil Woolridge Jr. of Harvard; daughters, Mary Katherine Hall of Wittmann, Ariz. and Linda Book of Bethany; brother, Victor Denier of Kirksville; sister, Laurice Burcham of Decatur; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
One brother, one son and one great-grandson preceded her in death.
The family suggests memorials to the donor’s choice.
Lucille Dahm
Services for Mrs. Wendell (Lucille Emma Wall) Dahm, 81, of Decatur were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lovington United Methodist Church. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery in Decatur with the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Lovington in charge of arrangements.
The former Lovington resident died at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2002 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Mrs. Dahm was born Aug. 25, 1920, the daughter of Floyd and Maggie D. Brown Wall. She was a retired teacher in La Place. After she retired from teaching, she, along with her husband Wendell Dahm, owned the RexAll Drug Store in Lovington. She was a member of the Lovington United Methodist Church and the Woman’s Club of Lovington, Retired Teachers Assn. and Moultrie County Home Extension. She married Wendell J. Dahm Feb. 27, 1965 in Lovington, and he preceded her in death Oct. 10, 1994.
Survivors include her nephews, Glen Wall of Decatur, Steve Wall of Columbia, Mo., Brad Wall of Atwood and Doug Wall of Dalton City; nieces, Susan Dukeman of Decatur and Dana Floyd of Lovington; brother, Maurice Wall and wife Blennie of Mt. Zion; sister-in-law, Donna Wall of Lovington; grandchildren, Joseph Rinaldo of Owensboro, Ky. and Catherine Rinaldo of Minneapolis, Minn.; two great-grandchildren; and 11 great-nephews and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Francis Wall.
Memorials to the Lovington United Methodist Church are suggested.
Martha LePera
Funeral services for Mrs. Dominick (Martha K. Murphy) LePera, 76, of Sullivan were held at 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan with the Rev. Dr. David Leslie officiating. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan.
She died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2002 in the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
She was born Aug. 17, 1925 in Moultrie County, the daughter of Thomas Lee and Katherine Dedman Murphy. She was retired from the Corps of Engineers as a physical science technician in Rock Island. She was affiliated with the First Christian Church in Sullivan. She married Dominick LePera July 1, 1950 in Chicago, and he preceded her in death Sept. 16, 1998.
She is survived by a brother, Thomas L. Murphy and wife Dorothy of Decatur; sister, Joan M. Schlicher and husband Bill of Katy, Texas; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial to the First Christian Church or to the Titus Memorial Presbyterian Home in Sullivan are suggested.
Robert Bunke
Robert H. Bunker, 100, of St. John, Mo. died Tuesday, March 12, 2002 in the Highland Health Care Center in St. John.
A private family graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Wisetown Baptist Church Cemetery with the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville in charge of arrangements.
Born Feb. 6, 1902 in Sullivan, he was the son of James L. and Josephine Bunker. He was raised in Sullivan and became an auto mechanic before moving to St. Louis in 1928 where he was a mechanic and worked for the Tasty Bread Co. for 37 years before retiring in 1958. He was a member of the Coles County Baptist Church. He married Mildred E. Bernreuter June 12, 1928 in St. Louis, Mo., and she died Aug. 25, 1999.
Survivors include sons, Jack England of Asheboro, N.C. and Robert England of Decatur, and a daughter, Mattie Joe Fifer of Mattoon.
Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Memorials are suggested to the Wisetown Baptist Church in care of the funeral home, 203 W. Oak, Greenville, IL 62246.
Basil England Jr.
Basil England Jr., 71, of Ozark, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 in Tucson, Ariz.
The Desert Rose Funeral Home in Tucson was in charge of arrangements; however at Mr. England’s request, no service was conducted.
Born July 7, 1930 in Mattoon, he was the son of Basil and Martha Ward England. He was retired from General Electric in Arizona and California and was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Patricia Hurst of Charleston, and she survives.
Other survivors include sons, Brad of Tucson, Ariz., Tony of Phoenix, Ariz. and Joe of Dallas, Tex.; sisters, Doris Horn, Olene Hunter and Wanda Hall-Spychaj, all of Sullivan; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
One son and one sister preceded him in death.
Mrs. Harold Fleener
Services for Mrs. Harold (Virginia Anne Belcher) Fleener, 67, of Decatur were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes in Decatur. Burial was in the Hammond Cemetery.
She died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2002 in Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Born Aug. 10, 1934 in Thomkinsville, Ky., she was the daughter of Virgil and Nanna Belle Russell Belcher. She was a member of the Decatur Foursquare Church. She married Harold Fleener June 2, 1952, and he survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Mrs. Danny (Karen) Lanter of Moweaqua, Mrs. Daniel (Carol) Baughman of Decatur and Connie Hagermann of Oreana; son, Kenneth Fleener of Springfield; sisters, Mary Rich of Brentwood, Tenn. and Vivian VanderBugh of Decatur; brothers, Edwin Belcher of Greenville, N.C.k and Donald Belcher of Lovington; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Four brothers preceded her in death.
Ruth Graham
Graveside services for Ruth Maxine Graham, 90, of Palatine were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan with the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan in charge of arrangements.
The former Sullivan resident died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2002 in the Manor Care Nursing Home in Rolling Meadows.
Born Sept. 24, 1911, she was the daughter of Al and Ruth Lindsay. She retired from the Graham Grocery Store in Markham. She married Louis Raymond Graham in 1933 in Newport, Ind., and he died in 1995.
Survivors include a son, Lanny Graham of Schaumburg; daughters, Linda Samojedny of Palatine and Trudie Bitters of Lowell, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
One brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Veston Haynes
Mrs. Veston (Vera C. Kinkade Montgomery) Haynes, 80, of Lovington died at 7:24 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2002 in her home.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the First Christian Church in Lovington with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Lovington. Burial will be in the Hewitt Cemetery in Lovington.
Born Jan. 9, 1922 in Noble, she was the daughter of B.H. and Laura Wells Kinkade. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Lovington. She married John M. Montgomery Jan. 9, 1940 in Hendersonville, Ky., and he preceded her in death Oct. 29, 1995. She then married Veston Haynes Nov. 27, 1997 in Lovington, and he survives.
Other survivors include son, John E. Montgomery of Atwood and Harold W. Montgomery of Germantown, Md.; stepson, Raymond Haynes of Memphis, Ind., Curt Haynes of Lake Fork, Marvin Haynes of Monticello and Danny Haynes of Clinton; daughters, V. Eleanor Burrell of Mattoon, and Karen Davis of Cleona, Pa.; step daughter, Candy Sue Gilbert of Mansfield and Cassie Ayers of Mahomet; brothers, Dale Kinkade of Noble and Ben Kinkade of Pontiac; sisters, Mary Kimmel of Olney, Veleta Shirley of Mattoon and Pauline Rodgers of Findlay, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 23 step grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren; 20 step great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, two brothers, two sisters and two stepsons preceded her in death.
