Robert V. Carey "Bob"
Age 79, of Kinsman, passed away Sunday morning, March 10, 2002 in his home.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine (nee Venegone); three sons, Dan (Toni) Carey of Morris, Pat (Susan) Carey and Tim (Belinda) Carey both of Kinsman; nine grandchildren; a great grandson; three sisters, Jean Whamond of Schaumburg, Helen Dunn of Springfield and Margaret (Earl) Kime of Dwight; a brother-in-law, Leo Miklos of Joliet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Barbara Miklos.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at ten AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kinsman. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Ransom. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at Reeves Funeral Home in Morris, and again Wednesday fro 9 to 10 AM at the church. Preferred memorials are gifts in Bob's memory to Sacred Heart Church, MVK Ambulance or to Diabetes Research.

Age 82. Passed away Friday, March 8, 2002 with his family by his side.
Survived by George T. (Lynn) Jones, M.D. of Plainfield, Tom (Felice) Jones of Geneva, Mark (Joan) Jones of Chicago and Scott (Dawn) Jones of DeKalb. Dear friend and companion, Barbara Soris of North Aurora. Grandchildren, Kathy, Bart, Ryker, George "Tad", Monica, Lorin and Annie Jones.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances (Faulkner) Jones; parents, George T. and Margaret (Jardine) Jones Sr. Brothers, Dick (Bernice) and Don (Kate) Jones.
Born in Joliet, a Joliet-Plainfield area resident, living in New Smyrna Beach, FL for the last five years. Retired in 1982 from Northern Illinois Gas. Member of Plainfield Methodist Church.

Age 91, born Dec. 24, 1910, in Joliet. At rest Thursday, March 7, 2002.
Preceded in death by her husband, John T. Jursinic (1992); parents, Juliana and Peter Verdnik; and sisters, Ann and Mary Verdnik.
Survived by her son, John P. of Joliet, daughter Juliana (Dr. Frederick Horvath) of Morton, IL., three grandchildren, Emily, Jeffrey and Bryan Horvath. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Graduated from St. Joseph School and Metropolitan Business College of Joliet. Retired from Personal Products Co., member of the Rosarian Club, Alter and Rosary Society, St. Francis Society #29 K.S.K.J. Senior Parishioners of St. Joseph, Senior Service Center of Joliet and American Legion Auxiliary Post #1080.

Survived by two sons, Lee (Sheila) Kowalski of South Elgin and Jeffery (Marilyn) Kowalski of Channahon; two granddaughters, Emilee and Elizabeth Kowalski; a sister, Sophie (the late Joe) Jedrysek; sister-in-law of Harry J. (Esther) Kowalski and Betty (the late Frank) Szwiec; dear nephew, Richard Kowalski; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard A. Kowalski; her parents; and her brother, Frank Szwiec.
A resident of Channahon for 23 years, she was a member of St. Ann's Church and St. Ann's Choir, the Channahon Lions Club and the Channahon Women's Club.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday from the Blackburn-Lanagan Funeral Home at 9:30 AM to St. Ann Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Survived by her loving children, Charlene (Ronald) Teeling, Charles Masek Jr. Charmaine (Robert) Albertsen, Christopher (Candy) Masek, David (Holly) Masek, Joel (Melanie) Masek, Charisse Albertsen and Diane Teeling; dear sister of Kenneth (Maryjane) Zavoral; beloved grandmother of 14; and great grandmother of seven.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Masek; mother, Rose Zavoral; her father; and a brother.
Born in Chicago, she was a Lemont resident for the past three years, coming from Romeoville.

Black Belt-Third Degree in Karate through Peter Claver Center. Retired from Caterpillar in Joliet in 1993. Relocated to Millry, AL.
Preceded in death by his father, John Brown Mitchell, brother Robert Lee Mitchell and brother-in-law, L.C. Creal.

Surviving are three children, George E. (Sharlene) Thomas, Jr of Shorewood, Keith R. (Jill) Thomas of Crystal Lake and Lynn M. (Timothy) Covarrubia of Joliet. Six grandchildren, Stephanie, Laura, Katelyn and Kali Thomas, T.J. and Trisha Covarrubia. Her mother, Juliann (nee Sabol) Criscione of Joliet. Two sisters, Julie Kidwell of Decatur and Delores (Donald) Burke of Joliet. Her brother, Joseph (Diane) Criscione of Joliet. Sister-in-law, Sandra Altman of Tinley Park. Age 81. Saturday, March 16, 2002 at her home. born in Joliet and a lifetime resident. Graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1936, Joliet Junior College Class of 1938 and the University of Illinois Class of 1940. Member of her "Bridge Club" of friends for over 60 years. Member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Paul CCW and a founding member of the Paulites. Past member and President of the Guardian Angel Home Card Club, past member and President of St. Joseph Medical Center Women's Auxiliary, past member and President of the Junior Catholic Women's League, past member of St. Raymond's Bridge Club and former member of St. Paul's Bowling League. Lifetime member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She worked many years as a Cherry Red at St. Joseph Medical Center, and also served on St. Joseph's Medical Center Centennial committee.
Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Deiss; and her parents, Roscoe and Marguerite (nee Scully) Perry.

Survived by his wife of 64 years, Emily (nee Paul) Gleason; three children, Robert (Joyce) Gleason of Joliet, Margaret Manola of Houston, TX, and John (Diane) Gleason of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; eight grandchildren, Deborah (Brian) Grace, Robert (Traci) Gleason Jr., Kristine Gleason, Gina (Christopher) Durbin, Michael Manola, John Gleason Jr., James Gleason, and Jeffrey Gleason; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Gleason, Erin Grace and Christopher Durbin.
