Arnold L. "Red" Keller
of Joliet, left this world on Thursday, June 6, 2002 at Silver Cross Hospital, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Age 67 years.
An active member of Harmony Holiness Church, "Red" provided tirelessly for his family through 36 years of hard work at Caterpillar Tractor Co., numerous entrepreneurial endeavors and for the last six years, a Joliet "Summer" icon operating the Jefferson St. Glasscock Corn wagon.
Survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Evelyn S. (nee Rains) Keller. A dedicated father who provided unconditional love for his three children; James Arnold (Pam) Keller, Evelyn "Kay" (David) Tibbitts and Michael Wayne (Debbie) Keller. Five grandchildren, Lynn, Brandon, Ryan, Brianna and Ethan, two great-grandchildren Lauren and Leah. Also a loving brother Mike (Sandy) Keller of KS.
Received in heaven by his dedicated and caring mother Mary Bell Keller and grandmother Cora Nelson.
He was born October 14, 1934 in Kansas and was raised in Flemington, MO. A member of the U.S. Army, serving in the 2nd Artillery Group of the 8th Infantry. Retired from Caterpillar in 1994 and was a member of the Caterpillar Camping Club. Arnold served the residents of Preston Heights as a member of the South East Joliet Water Dist. Board, also was a member of I.A.M. Local #851. he fought a long battle with cancer and never let it beat him. He lived life to the fullest until Jesus called him home.
Funeral Services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Sunday, June 9 at 7PM with Rev. Willie Sills officiating. Arnold will then be taken to the Murray Funeral Home in Humansville, MO for services and interment in Flemington Cemetery of Tuesday. Visitation at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayle Funeral Home, Sunday, 2 to 7PM.

Michael J. Kosarek
Age 44. At rest May 28, 2002 in Joliet. Originally from Youngwood, PA, residing in Joliet the past 25 years.
Preceded in death by parents, Raymond T. and Josephine B. (nee Uhrinek). Brother to Barbara Heart-DiDonna (Joseph) of Desplanes, IL and Raymond (Cheri) Kosarek of Lockport; uncle to Elizabeth and John Anuskiewicz, Jr. of Chicago. Numerous cousins, several aunts and uncles.
He was an information systems professional at several area employers throughout his career. Graduate of Hubbard H.S., Chicago, IL; Joliet Junior College, College of St. Francis, and Lewis University.
Cremation rites were accorded. Michael was extremely helpful to many people and will be greatly missed.

Karen (Kara) S. McCure (nee Handorf)
Age 52, died May 22, 2002 at her home with her children by her side in Tucson, Az., where she had resided since 1980. Formerly of New Lenox, Il.
She is survived by one daughter, Shannon (Brian) Garnto of Gray, Ga. and one son, Cass McCure of Tucson, Az. Grandchildren Alyssa and Lauren Ashley Garnto of Gray Ga. Her parents Howard and Geraldine Handorf of Tucson, Az. Formerly of New Lenox, Il. Two sisters, Cathy (Robert) Bowser of Durango, Co., and Jan Barnett of Tucson, Az. Two brothers, Jim Handorf of Tucson, Az. and Joel (Sharon) Handorf of Elwood, Il., and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Services were held in Durango, Co.
Karen will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Rosann (Berry) Tramel
Entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at the Sunny Hill Skilled Rehab Center.
Rosann was born on October 29, 1909 in Newton, Mississippi, and has resided in Joliet, Illinois, for the past 66 years. She moved to Joliet in 1936. She was employed at Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet Arsenal, and the Naval Yard for numerous years.
She was united in holy matrimony to Herman "Pat" Tramel, October 1926 and was married for 49 years until his death November 7, 1975.
She was a member of St. Mark C.M.E. Church. Rosann was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene E. and Bessie (Clayton) Berry; three brothers, John Lewis, Frank E. and Enward Berry; beloved and devoted husband, Herman "Pat" Tramel.
She is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Eddie "Gene" E. (Carolyn) Tramel Sr.; two grandsons, Eddie E. (Brenda) Tramel Jr., Alamogordo, New Mexico, William (Kate) Hambric, Ogden, Utah; two granddaughters, Laurie Ann (Robert) Williams, Joliet, Illinois, Gena Marie Pryor, Richmond, Virginia; three great- grandsons, Christian Tramel, Fort Dix, New Jersey, Stefan W. Tramel, Alamogordo, New Mexico, Joshua Hambric, Ogden, Utah; five great-granddaughters, Aliya (Jamel) Jenkins, Fort Dix, New Jersey, Dyona (David) Middleton, Joliet, Illinois, Adora L. Lamphere, Alamogordo, New Mexico, Tamekia (Jason) Albert, Ogden, Utah, Michelle (Jason) Beaumont, Ogden, Utah; eight great-great grandchildren; one sister, Hilda (Luther) Bailey, Chicago, Illinois; one brother-in-law, Leroy Tramel; one sister-in-law, Bernice Tramel, both of Joliet, Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Died at age 90 on February 18, 2003 at his home in Sun City, AZ. born in Morris, IL on April 23, 1912. Graduated from Morris High School and attended the University of Iowa. Served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Worked in Joliet for Commonwealth Edison Co. for 43 years. Member of First Presbyterian Church of Joliet.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother Benjamin F. Angus and son Donald M. Angus Jr. Survived by sister Harriet Washburn of Morris, wife Phebe (nee Holderman), son Kenneth (Royce VanDerLinden) of Surprise, AZ, daughter Pamela (John) Bollaert of Silvis, IL, four grandchildren, Amy (Stefan) Nemeth, Elizabeth, Andrew and Brandon Bollaert. One great-grandson, Angus Wil Nemeth.

Age 76, late of Lockport, Saturday, June 7, 2003 at his late residence with his family at his side. born in Ohio, IL, Lockport resident over 40 years. Employed as a teacher for 40 years retiring in 1991. Retired Dept. Chair of Vocational Education at Romeoville High School.
Member of American Vocational Association, Illinois Vocational Association, Illinois Federation of Teachers, Illinois Retired Teachers Association. Phi Delta Kappa. B.S. ED. Degree from Western Illinois University 1951, M.S.ED. Degree from Northern Illinois University 1964. World War II Veteran serving as a military police sgt.
Preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Margaret (Meuer) Kramer.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth nee Anderson, one son Kevin (Stacey) of Cary, IL, four grandchildren, Matthew, Eric, Christopher and Katie. One brother in law Ted (Elaine) Anderson of Glen Ellyn, IL, three nephews and one niece.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Bernard T. Maier "Bernie" "Big Tuna"
Age 71. At rest Thursday, June 5, 2003 at his late residence. born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. A United States Army Veteran serving as Corporal during the Korean War. Bernard was a 30+ year veteran of the Joliet Police Department, receiving numerous citations and honors. Past President of the Joliet Fraternal Order of Police, twice during his police career. He served as Deputy Liquor Commissioner during three mayoral administrations. Former owner of S&M Delivery. Member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Joliet Catholic Diocesan Grade School Boards. He was active in the early 70s in the Police Athletic League for children's baseball in the Joliet area. Member of American Legion Harwood Post #5.
Survived by his four daughters, Susan (Michael) O'Brien, Margaret Maier, Terry Maier and Christine (Carl) Crater; one son, Dominic Maier; five grandchildren, Mathew and John O'Brien; Cody, Tiffany and Jake Crater; two sisters, Kathleen (late Raymond) Nugent and Sharon (late Arthur) Teeves; one brother, Gerald (Judy) Maier; his special "extra" daughters, Bridget O'Brien, Stevie Moore and Donna Stevens. Susan was born in Joliet and a life long resident. Volunteer work and positions held; Will County Home School Association President, Founder and President of Joliet Home School Bowling League, Instructor in Abe Lincoln Division of U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, 4-H Leader, JTHS Alumni Band member, Joliet Squares member, Joliet Park District and Bicentennial Park. Susan was dearly loved by her husband, children, family and will be deeply missed.
