Jayne Huston (nee Meadmore)
Age 80. Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, June 10, 2001. born Joliet and a life long resident formerly employed at Illinois Bell as a telephone operator. A frequent volunteer at the church.
Survived by one son, William (Terry) Huston of Joliet. One daughter, Susan (Paul) Siegel of Lockport. Five grandchildren, Brian Huston of Joliet, Jason, Zachary, Kyle and Kaitlin Siegel, all of Lockport. Nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends also survive.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert E. Huston (2000). Parents, William and Sarah Meadmore. One sister, Verna (James) George.
Funeral Services for Jayne Huston will be Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at 10:15 AM from the West Chapel to St. Edward the Martyr Episcopal Church, 206 N. Midland Ave., Joliet for a Requiem Eucharist at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Stuart and Rev. Joseph Siegel celebrants. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Age 60. Friday, June 8, 2001 at Silver Cross Hospital. Late of Lockport.
Survived by her loving husband, Donald A. Lydigsen; one daughter, Lisa (Robert) Hill; one son, Andrew (Lori) Lydigsen; three grandchildren, Matthew and Katelynn Hill, Christopher Lydigsen; her mother, Matilda (Smith) Blogg and her beloved family dogs, Bruiser and Dynamite.
Born in Joliet, living in Lockport all of her life.
She was employed by Silver Cross Hospital for the last 10 years as a Patient Service Representative.
Preceded in death by her father, W. Melvin Blogg and a son, Douglas A.

Frank A. Mantia, Sr.
Of Wilmington, passed away at Riverside Medical Center, Friday, June 8, 2001. Age 83 years. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Edith Mantia (nee Fortey); two daughters, Phyllis Mantia of Wilmington and Gayle (Dennis) VanDuyne of Henderson, NV; three sons, Frank A. Mantis, Jr. and William Mantia both of Wilmington and Scott Mantia of New Lenox. Two grandchildren, Evan and Jack VanDuyne. Also numberous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Louisa Mantia; two brothers, Eugene and Anthony; three sisters, Josephin Nonnie, Christine Pens and Mina Sheeler. A 46 year member of the Iron Workers Labor Union Local #444, retiring in 1982. Former member of the Southside Civic Club. Frank enjoyed boating in his younger years. Funeral Services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd, Tuesday, June 11 at 9:00 AM to the Church of St. Anthony's at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial. Ralph C. Murphy
Age 95, of Joliet, Saturday, June 2, 2001 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. born August 21, 1905 in Aurora, IL to the late Charles J. and O. Christine Murphy. Moved to Joliet in 1930 and joined the law firm of Barr and Barr. He practiced law 56 years until his retirement in 1986, as senior partner in the firm then known as Murphy, Timm, Lennon, Spesia and Ayers. Fellow of the Amercan College of Trial Lawyers, member of the Illinois State Bar Association and past president of the Will County Bar Association. A Veteran of WWII, served as Lieutenant with Air Group 9 in the U.S. Navy aboard aircraft carriers in the Pacific. Promoted to Lieutenant Commander at the end of the War. Sixty year member of the Central Presbyterian Church of New Lenox (formerly of Joliet). Many civic involvements including past president and 59 year member of the Kiwanis Club, Community Chest, Campaign Chair and past president of Joliet and Chicago Red Cross Boards.
Survived by one son, Bert C. Murphy of Corte Madera, CA; two daughters, Christine M. (Ronald) Kuchinski of Vacaville, CA and Attorney Claire M. (Douglas) Wilson of Minooka; four grandchildren, Kelly M., Kasey L. and Kayla Kuchinski of Vacaville and Gregory M. Wilson of Minooka. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dorothy L. (nee Lentz) Murphy; one son, Dan R. Murphy; brother, Harold J. (Nina) Murphy; two sisters, Hellen (late Haakon) Andersen and Frances (late Robert) Balsley.

Judith T. Santolin (nee Zupancic)
Age 58, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2001 after a courageous battle against MS. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Preceded in death by her father, Albin Zupancic; her mother Margaret (nee Filek) McFedries; and her stepfather, James McFedries.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Santolin; her sons, Michael, Christopher (Margaret) and Anthony (fiancee`, Deborah Goben) Santolin; step grandson, Timothy Schoeneck; one brother, David Zupancic; and her favorite aunt, Rena.
Funeral Services will be held at the Grant-Tapella-Freitag Westwood Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at 8 PM. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 PM until the time of Services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, in her memory.

Survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Rosemary (Strzycki) Segiet; two loving sons, Jerome Robert (Sue) and Gary Francis Segiet; two loving grandchildren, Alissa Ann and Christopher Matthew Segiet; one brother, William (Mary Jane) Segiet; two nephews, William, Jr. and Robert Segiet.
Born in Chicago living in New Lenox since 1976.
Employed as a pipe insulator for Local 17 of the Heat and Frost Insulators Union for 40 years. Member of St. Jude Church and an Army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lucille (Pawlowski) Segiet.

Patrick Allen Bailey Sr., 58, of Blandinsville, IL, formerly of Streator and Joliet, IL died June 7, 2002, at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb. Patrick was born August 27, 1943 in Steator to Woolford Gilbert and Lilian Mae (Pucket) Bailey.

Survived by her husband of 51 years, Al Furdek; two children, Thomas (Beverly) Furdek and Susan (Glenn) Tibble. Five grandchildren, Rebecca Furdek, Amanda, Ashley, Laura and John Tibble. Her mother, Leona Paris (nee Lukowski). One sister, Arlene (Pete) Earleywine. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her father, Joseph Paris.
Member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, and the Joliet East Side AC Club, former member of the St. Mary Magdalene CCW.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Thomas Hart, mother Ines (Betoffol) Pius; numerous aunts, uncles, & cousins.
Survived by her father Edward Pius; stepmother Audrey Pius; five daughters, Tammey (Charles) Dohogne, Chriss (Adolfo) Gomez, Terry (Leborio) Risorto, Wendy (Renato) Gaglione, and Abby (John) Gavino; thirteen grandchildren; a brother, Jerry (Marylynn) Pius; two nieces; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Paul S. Kasak
Age 94, died June 6, 2002 at the Whetstone Rehab and Nursing Care Facility in Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Patricia E. (Reardon) Kasak, in October of 2000. Mr. Kasak was a long time resident of Lemont and member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He was the Maintenance Superintendent of the Pure/Union Oil Refinery before retiring to Florida. He is survived by his four children, Patricia (Kasak) Plagenz, Dick Kasak, Stephen Kasak, Mary Ellen Kasak-Saxler; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 12, 2002 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at Gerharz Funeral Home, 501 State Street, Lemont, Illinois, followed by Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 10:30 AM in Lemont. Interment will be private.

Samuel H. Muzzarelli
Age 87, of South Wilmington, IL, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2002 at the Morris Hospital in Morris, IL.
Born April 7, 1915 in South Wilmington to the late Geaton and Edith (nee Bondioli) Muzzarelli. Samuel was a member of Laborer's Local #75 of Joliet, IL for 44 years, retiring in 1972. He enjoyed fishing and recycling cans.
Surviving are one son, Keith (Donna) Muzzarelli of Dwight, IL; daughters, Carol (friend, James Cook) Fraher of South Wilmington, IL and Shelley Muzzarelli of Joliet, IL; eleven grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Alfred (Lila) Muzzarelli of Dwight; three sisters, Mary Densmore of South Wilmington, Delores (John) Austin of Gardner, IL and Lillian Christensen of Bloomington, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Frances M. (nee Male), whom he married February 3, 1940 in Kahoka, MO; son, Ronald Muzzarelli; granddaughter, Lori Muzzarelli; brothers, Jerry and James Muzzarelli; and sister, Carrie Corneglio.
