Preceded in death by her husband, Michael; father, Frank Grobarcik; mother, Rose (Hlina) Grobarcik; sisters, Rose (LeRoy) Norberg, Theresa Grobarcik, Julie (Dale) Treasure, Betty Grobarcik, and brother, Joseph (Vicky) Grobarcik.
Survived by two sons, Michael, Jr and Frank (Priscilla) Arbanas. One daughter, Rosanne (Joseph) White. One brother, Frank (Jim) (Mary) Grobarcik, Jr. Grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Jaci and Joshua White, and Matthew and Luke Arbanas. Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She worked in retail sales at various locations in Joliet and Chicago. Ann was also a forelady at the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant during World War II where she met her husband, the balance of her career was spent working full time as a loving wife, a wonderful mother and devoted homemaker. She was the best mother anyone could ever have. She will be missed but will always be with us. She also donated her time as a volunteer with the S. S. Cyril and Methodius Mothers Club, Joliet Catholic High School Mothers Club and Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home.
Funeral Services for Anna M. Arbanas will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2001 from the Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd at 9:30 AM to St. Mary Nativity Church for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment parish cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 PM

Age 77. Saturday, June 9, 2001 at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center following a brief Illness. born in Joliet and a life long Joliet area resident. A World War II U. S. Army Air Corps veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre. Retired from the E.J. and E. Railroad as the Chief Train Dispatcher after over 41 years of service. A member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #300.
Preceded by his parents, Emmanuel and Marigoula Christofore. His sister, Ermina Topolski.
Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, "Pat" (nee Arthur) Christofore of Joliet. Two sons, Michael Howard (Sandra) Christofore of Joliet and Chris (Nancy) Christofore, Jr. of Channahon. One daughter, Karen J. Singer of Joliet. Five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Edward Topolski of Greenwood, Indiana also survive.
Funeral Services for Chris Christofore, Sr. will be Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at 8:45 AM from the West Chapel to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church for Services at 9:30 AM. Age 92. Monday, June 11, 2001 at her late residence. born in Joliet and a lifetime resident. Member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Order of Eastern Star.

Age 41, late of Lockport, Sunday, June 10, 2001 at Silver Cross Hospital. born in Joliet, life long Lockport resident.
David was an avid painter and loved to fish.
Preceded in death by his mother Marie (Rigoni), maternal grandparents James and Pauline Rigoni and paternal grandmother Irene Krueger.
Survived by one son Jason David of Paletine, his father John of Lockport, his sisters Janice (Leonard) Larsen of Cary, IL, Paula (David) Hargis of Elwood and Linda (John) Hudoba of Plainfield, nieces and nephews Lenny, Jennifer, Daniel and William Larsen, Jessica and Jenna Hargis. Survived by his twin brother Lyle Gewehr of Joliet. Three cousins, Geraldine Boden, Beatrice Brooks and Gladys Floyd. Also survived by many dear friends.
Preceded in death by his parents Adam (1954) and Elizabeth (1982) Gewehr.
Graduate of Joliet Township High School class of 1931. Retired in 1980 from the E.J. & E. Railroad after 31 years. Member of the Old Timers Baseball Association and Board of Directors. Lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #300. Veteran of W.W.II serving in the U.S. Army. Member of the American Legion Harwood Post #5. Leonard was the equipment man for the Joliet Chargers Football Team. He was a Chicago Bears season ticket holder for 55 years and was an avid Cubs Fan.

Loving mother of Marilyn J. (Leo) Clever; Daughter-in-law, Mary K. (Louis Dec) Hedstrom; dearest grandmother of Judith (Scott) Ferguson, Carol Chenoweth, Mary Ann (Charles) Macier, Jan (John) Wyatt, David (Terri) Clever, Alan Clever and Sara (Noel) Delgado; 13 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her husband, Louis V. Hedstrom (1980); one son, Louis W. Hedstrom (1998); parents, Matt and Mary (nee Ivanic) Kuzma; step father, Steve Krall; two brothers, John and Pete Kuzma; three step brothers, Michael, Joseph and John Krall; and one step sister, Anne Filipovich.
Mary was born in Dragatus, Austria May 8, 1902. Resided in Joliet since 1914. Was an avid swimmer at the YMCA.

Age 78 of East Moline passed away June 9, 2001 at Illini Hospital, Silvis.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline on Thursday. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Military services will be conducted by the VFW Post #2153 in Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted. Memorials may be made for Parkinson's Research in his name.
Ray was born in Elwood, IL on January 23, 1923 the son of John and Viola Deutchman Hess. He married Joyce Fergusson on November 6, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce, East Moline; two sons, John T. (Jeanie) Hess, East Moline, and Timothy R. (Ellen) Hess, Murietta, CA; four grandchildren, Heidi (Matthew) Kushmer, Moline, Heather Hess, Moline, Timothy Hess II, Murietta, CA, and Carolyn Hess, Murietta, CA; two great-grandchildren, Austin Kushmer and Madison Kushmer, both of Moline; one sister, Blanche Mitok, Joliet; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son Ray Jr., a brother, Harvey Hess, and a sister Alice Kurth.

Age 80. Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, June 10, 2001. born Joliet and a life long resident formerly employed at Illinois Bell as a telephone operator. A frequent volunteer at the church.
Survived by one son, William (Terry) Huston of Joliet. One daughter, Susan (Paul) Siegel of Lockport. Five grandchildren, Brian Huston of Joliet, Jason, Zachary, Kyle and Kaitlin Siegel, all of Lockport. Nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends also survive.

Age 82, formerly of Streator, IL, died June 4, 2001 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born in Maquon, Illinois on April 28, 1919.
She is preceded in death by her husband Max McArthur (1996); and son-in-law, Ralph Koch (2000).
She is survived by her son Charles McArthur (Janice), daughter Diane Koch and a sister Betty Davis, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
