Survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Rosemary (Strzycki) Segiet; two loving sons, Jerome Robert (Sue) and Gary Francis Segiet; two loving grandchildren, Alissa Ann and Christopher Matthew Segiet; one brother, William (Mary Jane) Segiet; two nephews, William, Jr. and Robert Segiet.
Born in Chicago living in New Lenox since 1976.
Employed as a pipe insulator for Local 17 of the Heat and Frost Insulators Union for 40 years. Member of St. Jude Church and an Army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lucille (Pawlowski) Segiet.
Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Cedar at Francis Roads, Tuesday, 2:00 to 8:00 PM. Services Wednesday, June 13, 2001, 10 AM in the funeral home chapel to St. Jude Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.

Kenneth L. Watters
Age 86 of Coal City, Illinois died early Sunday morning, June 10, 2001 at the Grundy County Home in Morris, Illinois. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Coal City with the Rev. Carol Edman offic. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Morris. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at the Fruland Funeral Home in Morris, Illinois from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
He was born on January 2, 1915 in Mazon, Illinois and was the son of Charles and Edna (Mason) Watters. He attended the Morris High School. On July 11, 1936 he married Bernice Hero in Chicago, Illinois. They lived most of their married life in Morris, Coal City, Illinois and Connecticut. For many years he was employed at the Dupont Chemical Company and later at the Uniroyal Company in Elwood, Illinois.
He is survived by one son, James (Judy) Watters of Morris, Illinois; four grandchildren, John (Betsy) Watters of Morris, Illinois, Charles Watters of Morris, Illinois, Robert Watters of Jamaica Plain, Mass., Paul (Suzie) Watters of San Jose, California; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Boero of Coal City, Illinois, Alice Shuler of Belleville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bernice in 1998, two sons in infancy, one grandson Christopher in 1981, one brother, Donald Watters and two sisters Ruth Bryant and Mildred Gill.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Elk Lodge in Naugatuck, Connecticut, and the Coal City Senior Citizens.
Preferred forms of memorial are gifts to the United Methodist Church in Coal City, Illinois.

James Barnes "Jim"
Born May 4, 1947 to Mr. George Barnes and Lillie (Davis) Barnes in Arlington, GA. He departed this life on Saturday, June 8, 2002 at home with his family. He was a resident of Joliet for the past 33 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lizzie Barnes, grandfather, grandmother and a number of aunts and uncles.
He was united in marriage to Tinnie (Thomas) Barnes for 30 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife Tinnie, three children, Lorene "Wanda" Thomas, Sondra "Josie" Barnes and his only son, James "Mann" Barnes. He also leaves four very special grandchildren, Terion, Dimontrae, Darvell and a granddaughter he adored Nataja "Boy" Thomas, a loving brother, L.C. (Pearl) Barnes of New York and two sisters, Marie Barnes and Alberta Barnes both of Arlington, GA, special cousins, Rev. Calvin Cook, Jr., Lasanya Cook and Gene Dunbar, all of Joliet and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. He was employed by Marino Construction for the last eight years, with two special employers, Bobby Marino and Uncle Bernie, two very special friends, Bishop Graham and Robert Hare.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12, 2002 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home and 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2002 at Mt. Zion M.B. Church, 402 Singleton Place, Joliet, IL, Rev. Dr. Isaac Singleton, Sr., Pastor. Homegoing services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Calvin Cook, Jr. officiating. Interment at Elmhurst Cemetery immediately following services.

Margaret K. Convis
Age 91, a resident of Sweet Home died at the Lebanon Community Hospital, Monday, March 11, 2002. She was born on June 15, 1910 in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Charles and Dora Mangelsen Jahneke. She married Glenn A. Convis on April 30, 1932 in IL. He died on February 1, 1995. She lived in Troy and Plattville, IL before moving to Sweet Home in February 1995. She attended the Sweet Home Community Chapel and enjoyed fishing and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughters, Laretta M. Childers of Sweet Home and Vernetta M. Day of Lebanon and son, Glenn L. Convis of Sweet Home along with 5 grand and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Christine Ward of Louisiana and Dorothy Vandborg of IL. She was preceded in death by brothers, Vernon, Elmer, Irvin, Edward, Carl, William and George.
Graveside services will begin at 1:00 PM Friday, June 14 in the Plattville, IL Cemetery.

At RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale, Sunday, June 9, 2002. Age 74.
Survived by her husband of 51 years, Al Furdek; two children, Thomas (Beverly) Furdek and Susan (Glenn) Tibble. Five grandchildren, Rebecca Furdek, Amanda, Ashley, Laura and John Tibble. Her mother, Leona Paris (nee Lukowski). One sister, Arlene (Pete) Earleywine. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her father, Joseph Paris.
Member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, and the Joliet East Side AC Club, former member of the St. Mary Magdalene CCW.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by his loving wife of 54 years Dolores "Dee" (nee Pianca) Baudino. Two sons Leonard (Geraldine), of spring Valley, IL., and Gary (Elizabeth) Baudino of Albuquerque, NM., one daughter Annette (Donald) Birsa of Joliet. Five granddaughters Kimberly (Jason) Papes of Geneva, IL., Erin and Anna Baudino of Albuquerque, NM., Brianne and Taylor Birsa of Joliet. One great-granddaughter Miranda Papes. One brother Gerald (Kay) Baudino and one sister Larain (Ray) Rossi. His father-in-law Emil Pianca. Three sister-in-laws Ann, Bernice, and Norma Baudino. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Varonica (nee Novak) Baudino. Four brothers Paul "Bud", Joseph, Robert, and John "Jack". His mother-in-law Josephine Pianca.
Member of the POW Organization, Cantigny Post # 367, American Legion Harwood Post #5, and the Paulites. Longtime employee of L. Baudino and Sons Welding Shop. Member of the Ironworkers Local #444. Larry was an avid fisherman, musician, and diehard Cubs Fan.

Mrs. Judith G. Betz
Judith G. Betz, 65 of Lockport, formerly of Seneca, died June 9, 2001 at Morris Lincoln Nursing Home in Morris. She was born April 1, 1936 in DeKalb, IL to the late Carl and Agnes (Montgomery) Youngren.
Judith graduated from Geneva Community High School and was employed at Northern Illinois Gas Company until her marriage to Stuart Betz on August 8, 1959. She and her husband owned and operated the S & J Ranch Campgrounds and Horse Stables north of Seneca for many years. She was a former member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Seneca.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lorri (James) Anderson of Seneca and Lisa (Richard) Chapman of Serena; a sister, Gloria Hoppler of Edmonds, WA; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Melissa, Jimmy, Amanda and Adam; a niece, Jann Treichler; two nephews, Craig and Wes Hoppler; and a great-niece, Emily Treichler, all of Washington State.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Betz, August 17, 1980.
Memorial services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., June 16, 2001 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL. A private burial was held at Lincoln Memorial Park.
