Survived by his wife, Evelyn (nee Tatroe); a son, John (Sandy) Ahlvin; a grandson, John Ahlvin, Jr. all of Byron, GA; a granddaughter, Deborah (Jim) Langston and a great grandson, Cleveland A. "Cal" Langston all of Hawkinsville, GA.
Preceded in death by his parents, Amandus and Elvira Ahlvin; brothers, Sven, Albert and Elmer Ahlvin; and a sister, Eva McGann.
Born in Joliet, he was a partner and carpenter with Ahlvin Brothers for 35 years. Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge #296, Matteson Lodge #175, Carpenters Local Union #174 and the Moran A.C. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and gardening.
Funeral Services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd. Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at 1 PM. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Age 59, late of Lockport, Friday, June 14, 2002 at Hines V.A. Hospital. born in Chicago, living in Lockport for ten years. Owner of Galaxy Blake Construction for 15 years. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Lockport. Graduate of De LaSalle High School, Chicago. U.S. Army veteran. Robert was a diehard Bear and White Sox fan.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nellie (Rushen) Blaschak; and an infant brother, Frank.
Survived by his daughter, Sarah Blaschak; three sisters, Alice (Walter) Kozlowski, Joan (Barney) Smith and Ruth (Gene) Kemezy. Numerous nieces and nephews;a and a dear friend, Judy Rambert also survive.

Nicholas J. Briscoe
Nicholas J. Briscoe, 79 years of age of Minooka, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2002 in the Morris Hospital. born March 31, 1923 in Minooka, he was the son of the late Nicholas P. and Anna (Kelly) Briscoe. He was raised and educated in the Minooka area. A World War II Veteran, he served form 1943-1946 with the United States Navy in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations. Most of his life Nick farmed in the rural Minooka area. On June 21, 1946 he married Edna Lampman in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minooka. All of their married life they lived in the Minooka area. Nick was a member of St. Mary's Church, and the Grundy and Will County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his eleven children, N. Gene (Judy) Briscoe of Minooka, Ann (Warren) Chandler of Gooselake, Patricia (Bobby) Harvey of Louisiana, Donna (Jack) Thompson of Missouri, Dorma (Donald) Kooyenga of Morris, Mary (fiance, Timothy Grinkey) Briscoe of Jacksonville, John (Tammy) Briscoe of Louisiana, Pamela (Perry) Helton of Braidwood, Robert (Ruth) Briscoe, both of Channahon; 31 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 17, 2002 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minooka. Reverend Father Mark Fracaro will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday form 4-8 PM at Reeves Funeral Home in Morris. Preferred memorials are gifts in Nick's memory to his family for a later donation to the Morris Hospital Foundation.

Survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Dorothy J. (nee Kristich) Cerven. Loving father of Tom (Cheryl) and Ted (Lisa) Cerven, Jeannie (Mike Groen, Fiance) and Joe (Lisa) Cerven. Proud grandfather of Tommy, Katelyn, Cecilia and Alexis. Dearest mother, Betty (nee Ospalik) (late Thomas) Cerven; a brother, Robert (Mary Ann) Cerven; father-in-law, Peter (late Frances) Kristich; brother-in-law, Ralph (late Patricia) Offerman. Also brothers and sister-in-law, Mary Fran (Bill) Battin, Perry (Mary Ann) Kristich and Jim (Cathy) Kristich. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his father, Thomas Cerven; and a sister, Patricia Offerman.
Thomas was born in Joliet, resided in Crest Hill for the past 33 years and Coal City area for the past 5 years. Retired from Electro-Motive, LaGrange after 40 years of service. Former member of the Crest Hill Planning Commission, was a Lector at St. Anne Church and was an avid fan of Minooka Youth Baseball and Basketball.

Age 83. Passed away Saturday, June 15, 2002 at her late residence. born in Joliet and a lifetime resident.
Survived by her children, Patricia Demick of Elwood, Theodore "Ted" (Diane) Demick of Seneca and Linda (James) Frank of Elwood; two grandchildren, John Frank and Carly Demick; one great-grandson, Devan. Loving and devoted sister of Elizabeth "Betty" (Edward W.) Smerkar of Joliet. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
Preceded in death by her husband, John F. Demick (1983); parents, Frank and Clara (nee Link) Theiler; two sisters, Christina Theiler and Veronica Dempsey; two brothers, Francis (Helen) Theiler and William Theiler.

John Frank Disera
John Frank Disera, 73, of Chisago City died on June 14, 2002 at his home. born in Joliet, IL to Paquillie and Lucia (Alberico) Disera on June 24, 1928. John worked as an auto mechanic and for the last 15 years as a caretaker for the Pleasant View Apartments in Chisago City, MN.
Survived by his children, John (Dawn) of Plainfield, IL, Barbara (Gail) Gould Eagle River, WI, David (Natalie) of White Bear Lake, MN and Mark (Brenda) of Duluth, MN; nine grandchildren, Mike, Amy and Lisa, Tim, Jennifer and Bob, Laurel, Tyler and Allyson Rose; step grandchildren, Justin, Danny, Bryce and Sarah; great grandchildren, Clayton and Josie.

Age 63, died at St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville on Friday, June 14, 2002, following a long illness.
A wake will be held at St. Patrick's Residence, 1400 Brookdale Rd., on Sunday, June 16, 2002 from 3-8PM, and on Monday, June 17, from 9-10AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the chapel of St. Patrick's Residence on Monday, June 17, at 10AM. The Rev. Gavin Quinn, O.Carm., pastor of Mr. Carmel Church in Darien, IL will be the principal celebrant and homilist. The Very Rev. Bernhard Bauerle, O.Carm., Midwest commissary provincial, will preside at the concelebrated Mass. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chicago.
Born in Chicago on August 25, 1938, as the son of the late Rudolph and Sabrina (Kalecki) Primozic, Fr. Primozic attended St. Bride Grade School and Mt. Carmel High School before beginning studies for the priesthood with the Carmelite Order at Mt. Carmel College in Niagra Falls, Ont. He professed his first vows at the Carmelite Novitiate in New Baltimore, PA on August 18, 1958. After receiving his B.A. degree in philosophy from St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY, he enrolled at the Lateran University in Rome where he received his graduate degree in theology.
Fr. Primozic was ordained a priest in Chicago on September 7, 1964 and was then assigned as a teacher at Mt. Carmel High School.
Among his pastoral assignments, Fr. Primozic assisted at St. Joseph's parish in Leavenworth, KA, St. John of the Cross parish in Mississauga, Ont., Mt. Carmel parish in Joliet, IL and was the last pastor of St. Mary's parish in West Chicago to work among Spanish speaking people. In addition, he worked for several years in the Jean Vanier "L'Arche" community in Cleveland, OH, among the handicapped.
For the past seven years, Fr. Primozic has been at St. Patrick's Residence.
He is survived by one sister, Dolores "Dolly" (Joseph) Tencza of Hammond, IN; one brother, David Primozic of Bourbonnais, IL; 16 nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Sabrina; two sisters, Rita Stolz and Nancy Primozic; and two brothers, Arthur and Rudolph Primozic.

Age 54, Friday, June 14, 2002 at his home in Lockport.
Survived by his two daughters, Rebecca (Danny) Lowe and Ronda (Kyle) Mann; two grandchildren, Kenni Schwingel and Hunter Mann; two sisters, Cindy Ratzel and Wendy Conaty; his mother, Helen M. (Charles) Mitchell; his father, Richard Schwingel Sr.; ten nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
Born in Chicago, living in Lockport the past five years coming from New Lenox. He was the Superintendent for E.T. Mansell Construction for the past 25 years. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War serving with the Marine Corp.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
