Survived by three sons, Edward J. (Helen) Tatro of New Lenox, Jack C. (Dr. Ethel) Tatro of Loudon, TN, Thomas G. (Patricia) Tatro of Joliet; four grandsons, Dr. Edward A. (Karen) Tatro of Joliet, Jack S. (Sally) Tatro of Macon, GA, David (Barry) Pfeifer of New Lenox, Audrey (John) Hall of Worthington, OH, Diane Ackerman of New Lenox, Audrey (John) Hall of Worthington, OH, Diane Ackerman of Crest Hill, Melanie Tatro of Joliet; 15 great grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Born in Joliet living in the area all of his life. Member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lake Lucerne (WI) Association. He retired from Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway after 47 years of Service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Louise (Wiseman) Tatro (1999); and two sisters and a brother.
Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Cedar at Francis Roads, Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Services, Tuesday, June 18, 2002, 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Hoag officiating. Interment will take place in Elmhurst Cemetery. Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

Age 87, died Thursday, June 10, 2004 in Surprise, AZ.
Survived by his wife, Lucille (Tomasino); a son, John (Vicky) Arbanas; a daughter, Judy (Walter) Johnston; his grandchildren, John (Deana) Johnston, LuAnn (Kevin) Moraski, Jeanne (John) Meier, Marc (Laura) Johnston and Jeff Arbanas; and eight great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary (Pucel) Arbanas; his brother, Michael Arbanas; and his sister, Catherine.
Mr. Arbanas was born in Joliet and was owner of Arbana's Construction Company for 30 years.
Funeral Services will be Friday, June 18, 2004 at St. Mary's Nativity Church with visitations from 9 to 10 AM and Mass at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.

Robert G. Childers
Age 75, late of Joliet, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 14, 2004 at his late residence. born November 24, 1928 in Ripley, MS to the late Leland and Kathleen (nee Bennett) Childers. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Employed at Caterpillar, Inc for 32 years, retiring as a Supervisor. Active member of Margaret Street Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia (nee Schutz) Childers; two sons, Robert "Greg" (Angela) Childers of Minooka and Mark S. (Cynthia) Childers of Washington, West Virginia; loving and dedicated grandfather to Jeff, Joey, Sean, Austin, Eddie and Faith Lynnette; one brother, David Childers of Alabama. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters.

Age 50, passed away suddenly Monday, June 14, 2004 on I-80 in LaSalle County.
Late of New Lenox.
Survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Penny M. (Gear) Egly; one son, Brian Egly; one brother, Jay Egly; one sister, Sue Taylor; his mother, Darlene (Morrussi) Egly and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was employed by Exelon for 28 years as a Chemical technician and was a motorcycle enthusiast.

Age 77, died Friday, February 27, 2004 in Ocala, Florida.
Survived by his wife, Evelyn; two daughters, Valerie (Lawrence) Bugh of Austin, TX and Victoria (Thomas) West of Turtle Lake, WI; three grandchildren, Lucas John, Isabella Rose and Amie Elizabeth West; one sister, Helen Hayducak/Mackay of Minooka; brother-in-law, Richard (Carol) Shroba; and sister-in-law, Peg Drauden of Joliet.
Born June 19, 1926 in Joliet and lived in Ranch Oaks and Lemont, before moving to Ocala in 1992.
Cremation was handled by Hiers Funeral Home, Ocala, Florida. Inurnment on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

Age 62, of Minooka. At rest Monday, June 14, 2004. born on April 8, 1942 in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Lois Winchester and the late Gus Synold.
Loving mother of Diana (Darrin) Weathersby, Sheri (Terry) Sisk and Gary (Sandra) Hopkins; proud "grandma" of Darrin and Megan Weathersby, Ben and Kelly Sisk, Bobby, Nick, Devin and Isabella Hopkins; dear sister of Sandra (John) Brown, Lois (Bob) Ridner, Sheri (Pat) Clark and Chuck Synold. Also leaving to cherish Carolyne's memory are numerous nieces, nephews and her former husband, the father of her children, Norm Hopkins. Preceding her in death is her father.
Carolyne had a fondness for gardening and reading, and she treasured time spent with her family and her beloved dog, "Molly".
The Hopkins family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Morris Hospital and Heartland Cardiovascular Center for their compassionate care over the years.

Luberta McGee
Age 80, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at Sunny Hill Skilled Rehab Center in Joliet, Illinois.
Luberta was employed with First Student Bus Company as a driver/monitor until her illness. She attended Shiloh Baptist Church as a Senior Usher for 59 years, a good and faithful servant.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. McGee; parents, Morgan and Leada Dunn; two sisters, Minnie L. McNear and Eola Robinson and one brother, James M. Dunn.
Survived by two sons, James (Jimmy) Dunn and Edwin Keith McGee; three sisters, Mary Wilbon of Lockport, IL, Alberta Carver of Joliet, IL and Barbara Martin, Lockport, IL; two brothers, Robert L. Dunn of Tuscaloosa, AL and Willie A. (Laura) Dunn, Lockport, IL; six grandchildren, Yolanda (Roger) Rudolph of Tuscaloosa, AL, E. DuVall, DaVetta M., Derrick M., Christopher and Jessica McGee of Joliet, IL; five great-grandchildren, Kierra McGee, Maliek and Jazmyn Evans of Joliet, IL, LaPrentice Dunn and Justin Hutton of Tuscaloosa, AL; special nephew, John (Jay) Boyden of Maryland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jennie Ora Lee McLurkin
Jennie Ora Lee Fair McLurkin, 81, formerly of Moline, IL and Joliet, IL died Sunday, June 13, 2004 at her daughter's home in Houston, TX.
Private memorial services will be held in Joliet, IL. Interment will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, IL. Earthman Resthaven Cemetery in Houston, TX will be in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association or Houston Hospice.
Jennie McLurkin was born July 30, 1922 in Greenville, SC, the daughter of Robert and Willie Moragne Fair. She married Charles P. McLurkin May 1, 1943 in Washington, D.C.
She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1986.
She was an avid bridge and card player and was a former member of the National Toastmaster Organization.
She died peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
Jennie McLurkin was preceded in death by her husband, Charles and son, Julian. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Cashen and husband, Phillip of Joliet, IL, Jill Morgan and husband, Ray; sons, Charles McLurkin, Jr. of Moline, IL, Robert McLurkin and wife, Sandra of Joliet, IL and Ronald McLurkin and wife, Yvonne of Manalpan, NJ; sister, RobertaFloyd of Raleigh, NC; niece, Barbara Williams of Mt. Holly, NJ and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

Age 62, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 12, 2004. born in Little Rock, AR on July 22, 1941 to the late Emma Jean and Elijah Orsborn Sr. A resident of Joliet for over 30 years.
Survived by three sons, Kevin (Maudena) Orsborn and Keith (Emily) Johnson, both of Lansing, MI and Elijah Orsborn III; two daughters, Alicia Orsborn and Felecia Massey all of Joliet, IL; two brothers, Billy (Ruby) Orsborn of Joliet, IL and Charles Orsborn of Little Rock, AR; four sisters, Emma Fairchild, Doris (Alvin) Crawford of North Little Rock, AR, Gloria Smith and Florida (Sammie) Allison of Little Rock, AR; an aunt, Lillie Woods of Joliet, IL; an uncle, Homer Pitts of St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren, Aarien, Kandace, Isaiah, Seanna and Austin all of Lansing, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
