Age 61 years. died Friday, July 13, 2001 at her residence. born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. A resident of Joliet for 55 years. Joliet Township High School (1959). Was employed at Silver Cross Hospital for 30 years and White Castle for eight years.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Nicole Eskridge. Three grandchildren, Lee Andrea Guyton, Kenneth Guyton and Danielle Salonis all of Joliet. Five grandchildren.
Funeral Services Tuesday 8 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church. Rev. Richard House officiating. Visitation Tuesday 2-5 PM at the Range Funeral Home and 7-8 PM at Church. Interment Wednesday 10 AM to Elmhurst Cemetery.

Chester W. Olroyd
Chester W. Olroyd, age 82, late of Manhattan, formerly of Plainfield, IL, at his residence Saturday, July 14, 2001.
Survived by his wife of 14 years, Irene (Schmidt) Olroyd. A son, Ronald (Kathleen) Olroyd of Plainfield. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ellen Stalker Olroyd. His first wife, Elvera Fox Olroyd. Two brothers, Walter and Melvin Olroyd. Four sisters, Mary Mae Anderson, Ethel Irene Hughes, Eleanor Wolfe and Vera Lorene Delaney.
Chester was a World War II Navy veteran and a retired employee of Commonwealth Edison.
Funeral Services for Chester W. Olroyd will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 17, 2001 at the Forsythe Funeral Chapel, 320 Eastern Ave, Manhattan. Rev. Richard Joswiak officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, Joliet. Memorials to the Joliet Area Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Monday, 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Lena M. Ruddy, nee Baiardo, at her residence, Saturday, July 14, 2001. Age 93 years.
Survived by two sons, Thomas S. (Joan) Ruddy of Lake Oswego, OR and Paul R. (Rita) Ruddy of Joliet. Eight grandchildren, Carolyn (Clay) Kalter, Katherine (Scott) Happ, Thomas Ruddy Jr., Ann Ruddy, Elizabeth (Larry) Ley, Erin (Eric) Speas, Amy Ruddy and Gregory Ruddy; ten great grandchildren, Olivia and Mia Kalter, Hannah, Madeline and John Happ, Erin and Caroline Ley, Jacob, Kyle and Elaina Speas. A sister, Josephine Soave, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, R. Murray Ruddy (1983), a grandson, John Ruddy, a brother, Eugene Baiardo; and a sister, Mary Ballun.
Lena was a proud and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who valued her family above all else. A special thanks to Joliet Area Community Hospice. born in Joliet, she was a life long resident. Member of St. Patrick's CCW.
Funeral Services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at 9:30 AM to St. Patrick Catholic Church at 10 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials to the Joliet Area Community Hospice will be appreciated. Visitation 4-9 PM Tuesday.

Zachary M. Winker
Zachary M. Winker, infant son of Jeff and Brittany Knight Winker of Wilmington, IL, passed away Friday, July 13, 2001 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL.
Survived by his parents; a brother, Dylan. Maternal grandparents, Fred and Carol Knight. Paternal grandparents Carol and Floyd Combes and Jim Winker, all of Wilmington, IL. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded by his maternal grandmother, Patrice Knight.
Visitation will be at the Reeves Funeral Home, Wilmington, on Monday, July 16 from 9-11 AM.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Sedlock; five brothers, Phillip, George, Johnny, Francis and Michael Sedlock; two sisters, Josephine and Agnes.
Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet, Wednesday, July 17 at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial. Interment SS Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church prior to services, starting at 9 a.m.

Jeremy Anthony Bosi "Squiggy"
Age 20 of Plainfield, IL. died suddenly Sunday, July 14, 2002 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. He was born November 10, 1981 in Joliet, IL.
Survived by his loving parents, Carl and Carol (nee Krippel) Bosi; and his sister, Kristie of Plainfield. Beloved grandson of Arthur W., Sr. and Mary A. Bosi of Arizona and Mary E. Krippel of Florida. Beloved nephew of Arthur W. Bosi, Jr., Tena Madden, Rich (Cindy) Bosi, Kathy (Ed) Brewer, Mark (Jude Weber) Krippel, Ray (Lynette) Krippel, Kevin (Sue) Krippel, Doug (Lauren) Krippel, and Marilyn (Scott) Brown. Jeremy is also survived by several cousins and extended family member.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clarence Krippel; and his cousin, Cory Krippel.
Jeremy was a lifelong Plainfield resident and graduated from Plainfield Township High School in 2000. He was a member of the Hockey Team all four years and was the alternate captain his senior year. He was currently employed as a carpenter for Krippel Construction of Joliet. Jeremy will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Maderlean Fuqua
Born August 15, 1928 in West Point, MS to the late Willie and Dortha May Wilson. She departed this life on Thursday, July 11, 2002 at her home.
Preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Rev. Louis B. Fuqua Sr.
Mrs. Fuqua leaves to cherish her memories, eleven children; Louis Jr., of Ohio, Shirley McCullough, Pearl (Thomas) Tisinger, Minister Andrew Sr. (Cassy), Marilyn, Angie Payton, Doris, Terry Fuqua-Clark (Daniel), Tina, Michael and Jerry Fuqua, all of Joliet, IL. She also leaves to cherish her memories, two special friends, Connie Gillyard and James McCullough, 26 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, aunts, cousins, numerous friends and her Mt. Zion Church family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2002 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion M.B. Church, 402 Singleton Pl., Joliet, IL. Age 93. Sunday, July 14, 2002 at Sunnyhill. Late of Lockport.
Survived by five children, Leonard (Beverly) of Joliet, Howard Sr. (Tommi) of Tennessee, Douglas (Gayle) of Creal Springs, IL, Nadine (Louis) Allen of Arizona and Diane (Ken Sr.) Kirkland of Lockport; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Linnea Schnieder of Lockport; daughter-in-law, Sheila (the late Wayne Sr.) Haberkorn; brother-in-law, Robert (Dorothy) Haberkorn of Florida; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lester; two sons, Wayne and Kenneth; two grandchildren, Bobby and Mark Haberkorn; parents, Gust and Selma (Franzen) Carlson; two sisters, Frances Sly and Helen Petty; brother, Irvin Carlson; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Haberkorn.

Harry Dean Leinenweber
Died Saturday, July 13, 2002 at Salem Village at the age of 100 years. born October 19, 1901 and raised on a farm outside Madison, IN. After graduating from Hanover College in 1921, he taught for a few years, then entered graduate school at the University of Chicago. In 1929 he interrupted his studies to teach history at the Joliet Township High School and Junior College, and (partly as a result of the Depression) was never able to complete his doctorate. He remained at JTHS and JJC until 1969, when he went with the Junior College to its new site on Houbolt Road as head of the Social Studies Department. After his retirement in 1970 he continued to lead a Great Books discussion group that he had formed in 1946, and to share his knowledge of the Bible in talks at local churches.
In 1931, Harry Leinenweber married Miss Emily Lennon, a member of the Adler and Lennon families that played an important role in Joliet's history. After her death in 1987 he lived alone until 1991, when he moved to Salem Village. There he was looked after by his former student, Patricia Perley Pillard, as by a daughter.
Mr. Leinenweber is survived by his sons, John of New Haven, CT and Judge Harry Daniel (Lynn Martin) of Chicago. Five grandchildren, Jane Campeau of Byron Center, MI, John (Tara) of Chicago, Thomas (Martha) of Evanston, Stephen (Dana) of Carrboro, NC and Justin of Chicago; and 13 great grandchildren. The family was united on October 19, 2001 for his 100th birthday, which was celebrated at Salem Village.
Funeral Service for Harry Dean Leinenweber will be Wednesday, July 17, 2002, 11 AM at the funeral home chapel. Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 PM at:
