Maria Rosaria Molella (nee Martino)
Age 93. born October 2, 1909 in Caramanico, Abruzzi, Italy. died Wednesday, July 16, 2003. Loving mother of six children, Maria was a hard worker her entire life. She worked on their farm in Italy. In 1956 she, her husband Adamo, and their six children, moved to Joliet. She was later employed by Hart Shaffner & Marx as a seamstress. As of late she enjoyed watching her garden grow and visiting with her children, grandchildren and friends.
Survived by five children, Delfina Leardi, Anna (Ronald) Price, Nicola Molella, Dora (Andrew) Willis and Eva Molella; nine grandchildren Giovanni, Adam, Joseph, Mary Ellen, Amy, Mary Beth, Tina, Nick and Marc; five great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Adamo Molella; one son, Salvatore Molella; one grandson, Antonio Leardi; son-in-law, Pasquale Leardi; daughter-in-law Christine Molella; parents, Salvatore and Maria Martino; brothers, Antonio and Giovanni; one sister, Angelina.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment Hills of Rest Cemetery. Visitation Friday 3-8 p.m.

William "Bill" Robbins
Age 59, of Manhattan, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at Palos Community Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Bee Regan Robbins; a daughter Theresa (Kevin) Shea of Chicago and a son, Matthew Robbins of Manhattan. Bill also leaves behind a large extended family, especially Daniel (Judy) Robbins of Romeoville and sisters Loisann (Raymond, deceased) Orlovich of Plainfield and Gayle (Robert) Haley of Manhattan. Loving uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Lillian and a son Joseph.
Former owner and operator of K&R Oil Co.Most recently employed with Metra as a conductor. Member of St. Joseph Church and Administrative Board in Manhattan and the Knights of Columbus. Bill was very active in sports as a young man and an avid Sox Fan. He had a passion for playing cards with his family and friends.
Funeral service for William R. Robbins will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2003 from the Forsythe Funeral Home, 507 S. State Street, Manhattan to St. Joseph Church, 235 W. Age 90. Passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Salem Village. born July 22, 1912 in New Lenox and a lifetime Joliet area resident. Retired from Hart, Schafner and Marx in 1972. Member of the Loyal Order of the Moose(WOOM Chapter 84 Collegian), also the VFW Cantigny Post #367 and American Legion Post #1080 Ladies Auxiliaries.
Beloved mother of Ronald "Skip" (Elaine) Studer of Joliet, Marlene (Witt) Knutson of Lockport and the late Sandy (Joe) DiMonte of New Lenox. Dear stepmother of Judy Tibble (Dr. Brian) Erickson of Colorado. Also survived by 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; one sister; one brother, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Age 63, of Manhattan, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at the University of Illinois Hospital, Chicago.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wanda Toby Burkhart; three daughters, Donna (Steve) Plesh of California, Vickie (Richard) Petersen of Manhattan and Sherri (friend Joe) Burkhart of Minooka; five grandchildren, Tim and Courtnie Griest and Nick, Renee and Mathew Plesh; three brothers, Jeff (Marie) of Plainfield, Johnny (June) of Alabama and Jimmy of Tennessee.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Alta Kilgore Burkhart.
Jerry retired from Caterpillar of Joliet after 30 years of service. He was a member of the 1st Church of God in Joliet and an avid bowler. He served in the US Army for seven years.

Phyllis M. Carroll (nee Finn)
Age 81, of Wilmington, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2004 at Morris Community Hospital. born April 16, 1923 in South Wilmington, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucie (Vercellino) Finn and in 1952 Phyllis married James Carroll in St. Lawrence Church in South Wilmington. She was a current member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, St. Rose C.C.W., long-time volunteer at Miseracordia School for the handicapped children in Chicago, former employee of Armour and was an avid reader of historical novels.
Survivors include her two loving children, Joseph W. Carroll of Wilmington and Lucie (Rafael) Serrano of Newark, Illinois; as well as numerous other relatives.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; and one son, Timothy Patrick.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2004 at Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington between the hours of 4 and 8 PM and Tuesday, July 20th from 9 to 9:15 AM. Funeral services will follow in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington with a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated with Rev. Frank Vitus and Deacon Don Dyer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Morganton, NC. Beverly Ann Corpening, 50 passed away on Sat. July 10, 2004 in Hillsboro, NC after a courageous battle with cancer.
Home going services were held at McElrath AME Church on July 14, 2004 in Morganton, NC with burial at Shiloh AME Church Cemetery. Beverly was born in Joliet on July 18, 1953 to Louie and Mary Lucille Corpening Sr.
In addition to her parents she leaves a daughter Mercedia "March" Lipsey, son in law Dana Lipsey, two grandchildren Akira Elizabeth and Ian Christopher. All of Creedmoor, NC.

Age 93, of Wilmington, formerly of Effingham (1984-2000), passed away Friday, July 16, 2004 at Embassy Care Center, Wilmington. born May 15, 1911 in Mason, IL to the late Jerome and Bertha (Hosman) Webb, also preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Scott (1977) and Woodrow Keller (2000); on infant son; one grandson, Alan Scott; seven brothers and sisters.
Dear mother of Arlen (Marlene) Scott of Wilmington and Darleen (Joe) Miller of Hurricane, WV; seven grandchildren, Laura (Jerry) Hill, Eric (Denise) Scott, Deborah Miller, Jennifer (Edward) Maher, Michael (Terrie) Miller, Sue Brinkley and Heather (Paul) Spitznogel; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Lester and Dale Webb both of Effingham; a sister, Ardell Sloan of Watson, IL.
