Floyd E. Wood, Jr.
Floyd E. Wood, Jr, of Bristol, IL, died Monday, February 12, 2001 at Countryside Care Centre in Aurora, IL.
He was born on March 13, 1921, in Bristol, IL, the son of the late Floyd Wood and Helen nee Boening Wood.
He was a member of the Bristol United Methodist Church and a member of the Illinois Police Association. He served as a S/Sgt. in the Army Air Force 813th Bomb Sq. during World War II in the European Campaigns.
Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was the Bristol Township Road Commissioner for 24 years, after retirement he had worked part time for Killian Auto Parts in Montgomery, IL, and he had served as a Kendall County Sheriff's deputy.
He is survived by his two daughters Karen (Fred) Perkins of Milbrook, IL, Barbara (Randall) Skyles, of St. Peters, MO; five stepchildren, Vikki (Dave) Heyde of Sandwich, IL, Robert Wagner of Somonauk, IL, Todd Wagner of Yorkville, IL, David (Deanie) Wagner of Lisbon, IL, Tina Wagner of Yorkville, IL; two sisters, Mary Brady of Bristol, IL, Dolores Anhorn of Minot, ND; four grandchildren, Diane Perkins, Randy & Brandi Perkins, Buffy (Brad) Huffman, Sarah (Mike) Wood; seven step grandchildren, David (Anita) Heyde, Mark (Shawn) Wagner, Ceneca Wagner, Lindsay Wagner, Maureen Wagner, Michelle Wagner, Donny Horne, seven great-grandchildren, Brody Wood, Meredyth Wood, Braeden Huffman, Eric Wagner, Ryan Wagner, Jake Wagner, Jordon Heyde, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Charlene Wood; second wife, Ruby Wood; and brother Leroy Wood in infancy.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 16, 2001 at the McKeown-Dunn Funeral Home, Ltd. at 210 Madison St., in Oswego, IL, from 2-8 p.m. Cremation was in accordance with the wishes of the family and burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bristol, IL at a later date. Curtis Davis, 44 of Aurora passed away Monday, February 12, 2001 at Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora.
He was born to the late Hattie Davis-Callaway and Robert Stevenson January 14, 1957 in Clarksdale, MS. He was baptized at a young age at Progressive Baptist Church, Aurora, IL. He graduated from East Aurora High School in 1976 and attended Alcorn State University, Lorman, MS. Curtis worked for 11 years at Westco and also assisted with the Aurora Sundowners track team for a number of years.

Helen L. Dixon
Helen L. Dixon, 88, of Montgomery passed away on Wednesday February 14, 2001 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. She was born November 19, 1912 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma near an Indian reservation. She was the daughter of the late John Q. and Margaret (Ryan) Wallace.
Helen had been residing in Montgomery with her daughter and son-in-law Frankie and Larry Poss. Prior to that, she lived for many years in Daytona, Florida in which she had always referred to as "paradise", and had also resided in Aurora.
Helen was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Oswego. She worked for many years as a switchboard operator at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Aurora.
Survivors include her daughters, Diane M. (Joaquin Pedroza) Dixon of Chicago, IL., Marty (Keith) Sutherland of Austin, Texas and Frankie (Larry) Poss of Montgomery; as well as two grandsons, Patrick (Shanon Schroeder) Sutherland of Dallas, Texas and Brian (Jennifer) Poss of Oswego; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Frank A. Dixon in 1974; and two sisters, Frances Wood and Lenore Butler.
A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday February 17, 2001 at St. Anne's Catholic Church Joachim Center, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego. Fr. Dan Stempora will officiate. Following the Mass a luncheon will be served at the Knights Of Columbus Hall in Oswego.
There will be no Visitation although friends are encouraged to call or visit the home of Helen's daughter, Frankie Poss. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association.

Irene A. Foote
Irene A. Foote (nee Williams), 70, of Aurora, passed away on Thursday February 15, 2001 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. She was born November 20, 1930 in Humphreys, Missouri, the daughter of the late James and Aida (nee Borah) Williams.
Irene's family moved to Plainfield in her younger years, where she graduated from Plainfield High School. She married Raymond A. Foote Jr. on February 20, 1951 before he left to join the Korean Conflict. Irene subsequently moved to Aurora. Irene was employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for many years, retiring in 1990.
Survivors include: her son Michael R. (Donna) Foote of Yorkville; three grandchildren, Auna, Aaron and Bethany Foote, all of West Chicago; a brother Albert L. (Kathleen) Williams of Leland; four sisters, Helen (Ehr) Willwerth of Alabama, Shirley (Max) Temen of Texas, Barbara Weiler of Missouri and June (James) McCoy of Texas. Irene was also survived by sister and brothers-in-law, Edward (Helen) Foote, William (Marilyn) Foote and Marge Medgyesi; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 1998; a brother James Robert Williams; and her mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Arvilla Foote.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday February 17, 2001 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer PL., Aurora. Rev. Kenneth Latimore and Rev. Robert Copeland will officiate. Interment will take place in Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday February 16 at The Healy Chapel.
Linda L. Harris
Linda L. Harris, age 64, of North Aurora, passed from this life in to the next on Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at Rush-Copley Hospital, Aurora, IL. She was born on March 24, 1936 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Walter and Rena (Johnson) Veurink.
Linda grew up in Grand Rapids and attended local schools. She graduated with the class of 1954. After high school she moved to Sycamore in 1956 to live near her brother. In 1970, Linda moved to Maple Park for many years until moving again in 1989 to North Aurora where she has since made her home.
Over the years, Linda shared her heart and her home with husbands John Merchant for several years and also Fred Harris until 1986.
Linda worked in the food industry for most of her life, most recently as the cooking supervisor at DuPage County Correctional Facility.
Linda will be remembered as being a strong independent woman, who always supported her children with a loving hand, showing them the true meaning of unconditional love. She became their best friend and was always just a phone call away. Many times she received phone calls in the middle of the night and never complained. Even when she had to leave the warmth of her home to comfort her children, she always came without hesitation. Linda led her life as an example to her children, ruling with a firm hand and warm heart.
Linda was a devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church in Maple Park for many years, singing the praises of her Lord in the choir. Her soprano voice lifted the spirits of many and echoes still in the hearts of friends.
She leaves now five children: Debbie Lopez and Sandy Ridgeway, both of Boonville, MO., Mike Merchant of Sycamore, IL., Renee Reimer of Sandwich, IL., and Fred Harris of Boonville, MO.; Ten grandchildren; Linda also had three step-children: Jilann Smith of Kingston, IL., Shane Harris of Kentucky and Robert Harris of Texas; twelve step-grandchildren; and a family of friends.
She joins now her parents and one brother, Walton.

A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2001 at Conley Funeral Home with Rev. Kay B. Dillard, Pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, Maple Park, officiating. Cremation will follow and private family interment will follow at a later date.

Kay Manning-Osenbaugh, 58 of Ontario CA died February 8, 2001 at her home. She was born January 16, 1943 in Aurora, Illinois.
Kay was employed as a registered nurse and manager by the US Family Care Oncology Center in Rancho Cucamonga & Loinalinda, CA.
She was a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Upland, CA.
She is survived by her husband Darrell "Gene" Osenbaugh, her daughters Laurie Neptune of San Diego, CA and Ann Nunez of Norco, CA, her sons Paul "Rusty" Manning II of Murrieta, CA and Robert Manning of Lakewood, CA, and their father Paul Manning of Norco, CA; her stepsons Michael Osenbaugh of Walnut, CA and Mark Osenbaugh of Chesapeake, VA, her mother Louise Burgholzer of Wausau, WI, her sisters Janet Lawrence of Somonauk, IL, Elaine DeHaan of Fort Myers, FL, Mary Worth of Riverside, CA and Marie Heinking of Wausau, WI; her brother William Burgholzer of Sugar Grove, IL and thirteen grandchildren.
There will be a rosary held Friday, Feb. 23 at Montecito Mortuary and a Mass on Saturday, Feb. 24, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 877 N. Campus Ave, Upland, CA. Inurnment will follow the mass at Montecito Memorial Park.

Mary Quednau
Mary Quednau, 96 of Aurora, IL, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2001 at her sister's home.
She was born September 9, 1904 in Onichtsreith, Germany. She came to Aurora in 1923 and married William Quednau on October 20, 1928. Together they owned and operated The Green Oaks Beer Garden in Marywood. Mary has been a Marywood resident for 70 years.
She is survived by her sister, Katharina Hentschel, who cared for her; a sister, Emma Pauley of Florida and a brother, Jacob Schindlbeck of Batavia, IL; a niece, Maria Hentschel Hensley of Aurora; her nephews, Herbert (Susan) Hentschel of Morris, IL and William Hentschel of Aurora; a cousin, Joseph Ammer and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Funeral Mass will be offered Saturday, February 17, 2001 at 11:30 Am at St. Mary Church by Fr. David Palmatier, OSB. Interment in St. Paul Cemetery, Montgomery, IL. Visitation will be Saturday morning, February 17, 2001 from 9:30 AM until the funeral hour at St. Mary Church, 430 E. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60506. Patricia A. Wilson
Patricia A. Wilson, age 54, of Montgomery, IL passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2001 at her home.
She was born on July 26, 1946 in Chicago, IL. Patricia was united in marriage on April 22, 1966 in Gallatin, TN to Mr. William Wilson, Sr. and they spent the next 35 years of their lives together. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aurora, IL. Patricia had been employed in the accounting profession by several firms throughout this area.
She is survived by her husband William Wilson, Sr.; her sons, William L. (Anita) Wilson, of Millington, IL and Michael L. (Peggy) Wilson Sr., of Millington, IL; thirteen grandchildren; her step-father Arthur Proska of Kissimmee, FL and her husband's step-father Anthony Grazia of Lyons, IL.
She is preceded in death by her mother Ethel Proska; her mother-in-law, Luella Wilson Grazia; and her daughter-in-law Rebecca Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2001 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home 410 E. Countryside Parkway, in Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in the Oakridge-Glen Oak Cemetery, in Hillside, IL.

Josephine M. Hinterlong
Josephine M. Hinterlong, 89, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at Provena McAuley Manor. She was born January 19, 1912 in Aurora.
She had been a member of Annunciation Church since 1972 and Annunciation VIP's.
She was employed by the Burlington Northern Postmaster of Eola, IL for eight and a half years. She had the distinction of being the first woman to be appointed postmaster by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the youngest postmaster in the US at the time.
She is survived by her four children Melvin (Nancy) Hinterlong of Harvard, IL, Gerald (Carol) Hinterlong of Somoawk, IL, Shirley (Leo) Silverman of Aurora and Dennis (Diane) Hinterlong of Aurora; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence (Irene) Kramer of Eola, IL and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence; a brother, Raymond Kramer and her parents, Lena (Frieders) and John Kramer. Funeral services will beheld Monday, February 19, 2001 from THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY at 9:30 AM to Annunciation Church at 10 AM. Concelebrated Funeral Mass will be offered by Fr. Mrs. Patricia M. Hodgetts, 52, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2001 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. She was born on September 25, 1948 in Wednesbury, England, the daughter of William and Ursula (Bley) Rowley.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Hodgetts of Aurora; three sons, Matthew and Simon Hodgetts both of St. Charles and Andrew Hodgetts of Aurora; her mother, Ursula Rowley of England and six brothers and sisters all of England.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Rowley.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2001 at 7 p.m. from The Healy Chapel. 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora with Rev. Gerald L. Rygh officiating. Interment will be private.

Audrey N. Holverson
1931-2001
Age 69, of Newark died Friday, February 16th at her home.
Audrey was a blessing to all who knew her. Whatever she did, she worked at it with all her heart. She had a wide range of interests, especially enjoying gardening, bird watching and reading. Audrey had a wonderful sense of humor and even through her illness could make us laugh.
Audrey was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. She was a member of the New Life Assembly in Yorkville where she served on the Missions Committee. She was a member of MAPS RV Mission, helping build a church in Rochester, Indiana.
She raised her five children to be honest, caring, hardworking and they loved her dearly. We will miss her cooking, her energy, her joy, her laughter, her wisdom, her zest for living and her great love for us all.
Audrey was born December 13, 1931 in Morris to Hascal & Grace (Johnson) McDermott. She married Robert Holverson June 16, 1951 at the Stavanger Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; her mother, Grace McDermott of Marseilles; her daughter, Sheila (Marlon) Mathre of Yorkville; her four sons, Paul (Karen) Holverson of Ottawa, Philip (Laurie) Holverson of Normal, Craig Holverson of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, Eric Holverson of Morris; eight grandchildren, Alissa Holverson, Amy Holverson, Sarah Holverson, Scott Holverson, Alex Holverson, Jacob Mathre, Rachel Mathre, Jared Mathre; three sisters, Lois (Ernie) McClellan of Delafield, Wisconsin, Ruth Johnson of Ottawa, Norma (Wes) Chapman of Seneca and a sister-in-law, Helen McDermott of Ottawa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hascal McDermott and a brother, Hubert McDermott.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 20th at the New Life Assembly Church, 3205 Cannonball Trail, Yorkville, with Pastor Rick Thiemke officiating. Burial will be at the Norway Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Larson-Gabel Funeral Home Ltd., 102 S.
