Lorene Mae Kiley
Lorene Mae Kiley, 81, of Montgomery, IL, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2001 at Edward Hospital in Naperville. She was born May 12, 1919 in Sheridan, IL.
Mrs. Kiley was a long time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora.
She is survived by her five children; two daughters, Sharon Nauert of Somonauk, IL and Therese Kiley of Roseville, MN and three sons, Dennis (Sandra) Kiley of Oswego, Michael (Elizabeth) Kiley of LaGrange, IL and Steven (Patricia) Kiley of Montgomery. Also were her sister, Joyce Kreitz of Plano; as well as, 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and one great grandson.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, John Kiley in October of 2000; her parents, Elmer and Marie (Mourlam) Hubbard; as well as, a brother, Lloyd Hubbard; granddaughter, Cheryl Kiley and a son in-law, John Nauert.
Visitation for Mrs. Kiley will be held Monday, April 2, 2001 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dieterle Memorial Home. 1120 S. Broadway (Rt. 25) in Montgomery.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at 9:30 a.m. from Dieterle Memorial Home to St. Mary's Catholic Church of Aurora at 10 a.m. with Fr. Bernard Schaefer officiating and burial to follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Sandwich.

Joshua J. Laden
Joshua J. Laden, 8, formerly of Aurora, went to be with Jesus on March 26, 2001 at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, AR, after a short battle with cancer. He was born December 4, 1992 in Aurora, IL. Joshua was a courageous little boy who touched everyone he came to be with. He loved everyone and everyone loved Joshua. His closest friends were his big brother Adam and his first cousin Andrew Little of Aurora, also his friend Dylan Mason of Lepanto, AR.
Survivors include his parents Scott and Susan (Little) Laden; his brother Adam Laden; his grandparents William and Elaine (Watgen) Little and Othe and Betty Laden; aunts and uncles Steven Little, Richard (Tracie) Little, Connie (Marty) Smith, Jeff Laden, Ryan Laden and Larry Edward; many great aunts and uncles and cousins.
Lying In State Saturday, March 31, 2001 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at The Aurora First Assembly Church, 101 Barnes Road, Aurora, IL. Funeral Services at 12:00 PM. Rev. Larry D. Hodge will officiate with interment in Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery.

Josephine A. Martello
Josephine A. Martello, 82, of Geneva, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2001 at Provena Geneva Care Center in Geneva.
She was born August 17, 1918 in Geneva, IL, the daughter of Saverio and Carmela (nee Scibetta) Alongi. A lifelong resident, she was class president of the Geneva High School graduating class of 1936.
She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (DeWayne) Williams of Geneva; Elizabeth (Ronald) Krueger of Arlington Heights; one brother, Paul (Marion) Alongi of Rochelle, IL; two grandchildren, Dr. Phillip (Sara) Williams of North Aurora, IL and Elizabeth Williams of Chicago; and one great-grandson, Zachery Williams.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Wolfer who died in 1949; her second husband, Anthony Martello who died in 1980; her brother Carm (C.J.) Alangi; and her parents.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31st at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Rd., Geneva. Monsignor Joseph F. Jarmoluk will be the Celebrant. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 30th from 5-9 p.m. with a Liturgical Wake Service at 8:30 p.m. at the Yurs-Wittenberg Funeral Home, 1771 W. David Dwayn Maurer
David Dwayn Maurer, 46, of Sandwich, IL passed away March 29, 2001 at Countryside Care Centre in Aurora. He was born December 28, 1954 in Ottawa, IL, the son of George and Frances (Watson) Maurer.
Dave was united in marriage to Betty Estes in 1985. He was a 1972 graduate of Plano High School. Dave was employed at Caterpillar Tractor Company for 28 years as machinist Local #145. He enjoyed softball, golf, Nascar racing (Loved Rusty Wallace #2).
Survivors include his mother, Frances (Dan) Enockson of Ottawa, IL; his father, George (Mary Ellen) Maurer of Grand Ridge, IL; two daughters, Tara Ann Maurer of Georgia, Tiffany Rae Maurer of Connecticut; one son, Sean Russell Maurer of Sandwich; two sisters, Krystal (Terry) Gloss of Lisle, IL, Loretta Maurer of Marseilles, IL; three brothers, Scottie (Karla) Maurer of Newark, IL, Jeffrey (Sandra) Maurer of Peru, IL, Billy Maurer of Marseilles, IL; four step-sisters, Diane (Nick) Esmond of Aurora, IL, Cindy (Steve) Lolling of Grand Ridge, IL, Donna Enockson of Oklahoma City, OK, Dawn (Laverne) Hamilton of Ft. Stanley C. Olson
Stanley C. Olson, 72, of Ottawa, died Friday morning, March 30 at Pleasant View Luther Home. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 2, at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with the Rev. Dr. John P. Meyers, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park where full military rites will be conducted. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Mr. Olson was born on Dec. 26, 1928 in Yorkville to Clifford and Bernice (Johnson) Olson. He served with the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He married Joanne Gorbett on June 13, 1953 in Ottawa. He retired as an Electrical Foreman at L.O.F. after 33 years of employment, and later worked at the Soil Conservation Service and Durdan Electric. Mr. Olson was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He had been an active bowler for many years. He was a member of the Reddick Mansion Association, and the LaSalle County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Kathy, at home, two brothers, Donald (Mary Ann) of Sheridan, and Howard of Phoenix, and two sisters, Beryl (Glenn) Borneman of Newark, and Mildred (Herb) Tripp, of Phoenix.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial fund to be established at a later date.

Beatrice Norton Richards
Beatrice North Richards, 90, a longtime resident of Jupiter, Florida, died peacefully of natural causes Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at Michealsen Health Center, part of the Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia, Illinois. She was born April 1, 1910, in Chicago, the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth Norton. A gracious and elegant woman with a delightful sense of humor, she brightened the lives of those about her with her positive spirit and a sense of gratitude.
Mrs. Richards was raised on the south side of Chicago, but spent her summers with her family at Chautauqua, New York. After graduating from the Faulkner School and having been brought up steeped in the arts, she studied costume design and worked at The Goodman Theatre and for several years served as stage technician for the Chautauqua Opera Company. On August 29, 1936, she married Bartlett Richards, Jr., in a double ceremony with her sister Patricia in the Norton home on Lake Chautauqua. The couple moved from Chicago to Hinsdale in 1947 to bring up their two sons, and retired to Jupiter Inlet Colony in 1963, where she lived, even after Bart's death, until the fall of 1998, when she moved to The Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia, Illinois, to be near her family. During the 1970's, Beatrice worked closely with her husband as he co-authored a book about his father, Bartlett Richards. Nebraska Sandhills Cattleman, and in 1981 was honored to accept on his behalf the National Cowboy Hall of Fame's Western Heritage Award for 1980's best non-fiction book. Remaining active in the arts as a benefactor, Mrs. Richards served as a trustee for the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, which was founded by her father, and as an avid supporter and fan of the Chautauqua Opera. For years, a volunteer at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, she was also a long time supporter of the Heritage Foundation and other conservative political groups.
She is survived by two sons, Barlett, III (Doris) Richards, of Northfield, Illinois, and Norton (Ann) Richards, of Batavia, Illinois, and four grandchildren, Christopher Richards of Chicago, Elizabeth (Robert) Hayward of Chicago, William and Thomas Richards of Batavia, Illinois, who lovingly called her "Granny Bebo."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bartlett Richards in 1978, two brothers, Calhoun and Christopher-Norton, and a sister, Patricia Britton Hendershot.
A small service celebrating her life will be held in Batavia in mid-April. Interment will be in the Richards family plot in Weathersfield-Bow Cemetery, Weathersfield, Vermont.

Johnny Walker
Johnny Walker, 56, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. He was born July 28, 1944 in Chicago, Ill.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Jeanette Walker; two sons: Johnny (Shamica) Walker Jr. and Steven Walker; two daughters: Margie (Sean) Walker and Nakita Walker; five grandchildren: Marvin McGowan, Johnny Walker III, Tiana Glover, Jonica and Jontrell Walker, all of Aurora; his father Lee T. Walker of Chicago; three brothers: Lawrence (Lou) Walker of Aurora, Joe and Leon Walker of Chicago; eight sisters: Gloria, Lillie, Bernice, Bobbie, Gardine, Gail, Linda, and Rita Walker, all of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his mother Addie Mae Walker; one brother Silvester Walker; two sisters: Judy and Pearline Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday April 2, 2001 at James Funeral Services. Rev. George Rayford will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery.

Marie C. Zelinski
Marie C. Zelinski, 68, of Sandwich, IL passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2001 at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich. She was born March 2, 1933 in Chicago, the daughter of Michael and Betsy (McCasland) Lizak.
Marie was united in marriage on September 6, 1955 in Merrionette Park, IL to Mr. Edward Zelinski. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Mrs. Zelinski was for many years a member of the Crestwood P.L.A.V. in Crestwood, IL. She also enjoyed playing Bingo with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Zelinski of Sandwich; her son, Edward P. (Wanda) Zelinski, Sr. of Janesville, WI; her daughter, Denise Knight of Sandwich; her grandchildren, Thomas Zelinski of Blue Island, IL, James (Jina) Zelinski of Plainfield, IL, Nicole Knight of Sandwich, Kristin Knight of Sandwich, Dana Zelinski of Janesville, WI, Eddie P. Zelinski, Jr. of Janesville, WI, Brandin Zelinski of Janesville, WI; her great grandson, Zachary Zelinski of Midlothian, IL; her brothers, Robert (Cheryl) Lizak of Orland Park, IL and Michael (Hazel) Lizak of Davenport, IA; as well as, several nieces and nephews.

Edmund F. Connolly
Edmund F. Connolly, age 81, of Aurora passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at Provena Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora.
He was born January 27, 1920 in Chicago, the son of Dennis J. and Hazel Connolly. He was united in marriage to Margaret Kilgore on May 21, 1951 in Meridian, MS. Edmund was a long time resident of Brookfield, IL. He was a career Army Master Sergeant, retiring in 1962. He taught classes at Marmion Military Academy in Aurora for ten years, where he was a coach for the golf team. He was an avid golfer, gardener and gifted artist.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret "Peg" Connolly; a daughter, Debra (Doug) Connolly Schomer of Aurora; a son, Mike Connolly of Round Lake, IL; two daughters-in-law: Nancy (Ed) Williams of Batavia and her mother, Audrey Burdette of Batavia and Tina Fatouros of Crystal Lake; six grandchildren: Elysabeth, Emma and McKenna Connolly, Tim (Kelly) Schomer, Tyler and Christine Williams; a brother, Harold (Dot) Connolly of Sun City, AZ; several nieces and nephews, including Dean (Cyndi) Connolly of Batavia; a brother-in-law, Ed Martin of Aurora; three sisters-in-law: Mur Connolly of Indianapolis, IN, Scotty Connolly of Des Moines, IA, and Lois Connolly of Woodridge, IL; special family friends, Rob and Annette Hamling of Aurora.

Rita S. Hoffman (nee Claus), 82, of Naperville died Saturday, March 31, 2001 at Alden Nursing Home, Naperville.
She was born January 24, 1919 in Aurora, IL.
She was a resident of Naperville since 1985 and was an avid doll collector.
Survivors include her daughter, Rita Isenogle of Naperville; a grandchild, Sandra (Tim) Haas of Arizona; great grandchildren, Breanne and Ashley Haas; a sister, Mary Agnes Marx of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Hoffman; and several brothers and sisters.

Janice Wilson Jones, age 82, died January 24, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She had lived in Aurora for 52 years prior to moving to Las Vegas in 1998.
She is survived by her daughter, Justine Jones of Los Alamos, New Mexico; and her son, Jay Jones of Las Vegas.
Her husband, Robert L. Jones preceded her in death in 1988.
