Donald Bryce Ferguson
Donald Bryce Ferguson, age 85, of Waterman , IL, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2001 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb, IL.
He was born on June 13, 1915 in Waterman, IL the son of James Bryce and Mabel Jeanette (Hipple) Ferguson. Donald was united in marriage on September 9,1939 in Evanston, IL to the former Mary Rowe and they spent the next sixty-one happy years of their lives together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Don received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL and was a member of its Farm House Fraternity. Mr. Ferguson obtained a Master of Science Degree in Agriculture and his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University. Mr. Ferguson was employed, for over 37 years, as an Agricultural Economist by Swift and Company, in Chicago, IL. He was proud to have served as a Swift and Company representative to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. While living in La Grange, IL, Don was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of the La Grange and served as President of La Grange Little League. Throughout his life, Don was always a farmer at heart and loved nothing more than returning to the family farm on which he was raised in Waterman. With his love of agriculture, he enjoyed being a member of the DeKalb County Farm Bureau. He became very active in the Waterman Lions Club and remained so for many years. Mr. Ferguson was a long time and active member of the Waterman United Methodist Church in Waterman, IL.
Don is survived by his wife, Mary of Waterman; his son, Robert Bryce (Jo Ann) Ferguson of Valparaiso, IN; his daughter, Jean Katherine (Peter) Vaughn of Durham, NC; his four grandchildren, Terri Lynn (Dan) Dobbs of Indianapolis, IN, Scott Bryce (Lisa) Ferguson of Valparaiso, IN, Margaret Meals Vaughn of Baltimore, MD and Nicholas Peter Vaughn of Durham, NC; his five great-grandchildren, Christopher Dobbs, Lindsay Dobbs, Emma Ferguson, Donna Ferguson, who was named after her great-grandpa Don, because she was born on his birthday, and Bryce James Ferguson; as well as his sister Barbara (William) Cornell of Ballwin, MO.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ferguson will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 19, 2001 at the Waterman United Methodist Church, in Waterman, IL with Reverend James Ketzel officiating. Elinor Muree Woolcott Holdeman
Elinor Muree Woolcott Holdeman, 78, of Naperville died Sunday, April 15, 2001 at the Community Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Naperville. She was born November 11, 1922 in Batavia and had lived in Naperville for the past 31 years.
Mrs. Holdeman had worked for over 25 years at North Central College in food service and prior to that, she had worked for Colonial Caterers both located in Naperville. She was a member and past president of the Elburn American Legion Post Auxiliary. Mrs. Holdeman volunteered during the last six years at the DuPage County Convalescent Center in Wheaton. She was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Naperville.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Holdeman of Naperville; one son, Michael (Cathy) Woolcott of Green River, WY; two daughters, Julia (Wayne) Sandall of Omaha, NE and Amy Coakley of Naperville; one sister, Pennie (Art) Griesmann of Batavia; 10 grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Beatrice (nee Bennett) Thorne; her first husband, Fred W. Woolcott; one son, Barry J. Woolcott; three sisters, Rose Anderson, Bernice Hill and Gwen Thorne and one granddaughter, Brenda Hawker.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2001 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 25W341 Ridgeland Ave. Naperville with Bishop Taylor Manning officiating. Interment at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.

August 27, 1924 - February 25, 2001 at Hoag Memorial Hospital Newport Beach, Calif. after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Dave, Mother of Marnee (Erin) Farley, grandmother of Megan and Sarah Farley of Newport Beach, Calif.
Born in Aurora, IL. to Louis and Eugenia Bank of Joliet, IL. Claude C. Mount
Claude C. Mount, 95, of North Aurora passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Firwood Healthcare Center. He was born February 19, 1906 in Nekoma, IL to Charles W. and Aurora P. (Lindbeck) Mount.
Claude was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in North Aurora. He was a custodian at the North Aurora Elementary School for 25 years. Following his retirement he was associated with the Bank of North Aurora for 10 years. He was a member of the Over Sixty Club of North Aurora and the Mordern Woodsmen of America.
Survivors include his son Howard (Honey) Mount of Batavia; his daughter Joanne (Robert) Guzman of North Aurora; 12 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and a great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents; his son Keith Mount; a sister Pauline Stout and two brothers Harold and Earle Mount.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday April 20, 2001 at The Healy Chapel 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora Rev. Maureen Van Heerden will officiate. Luella E. Parrish
Luella E. Parrish, age 88 of Batavia, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2001 at the Aurora Manor in Aurora, IL. She was born June 18, 1912 in Brainard, MN, the daughter of Warren and Gertrude (nee Hoard) Campbell.
Luella was blessed with a long and active life and will be remembered by her family and many friends for her quiet nature and caring for others.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Bruce) Retterer, of Manitowoc, WI; four grandchildren, Cheryl (Chris) Schehl, Rob and Rich Retterer and Kyle Richie; a great grandson, William Christopher Schehl; and two nephews, Dave and Roger Campbell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Parrish; daughter, Mary Lou Kerr; brother, Richard Campbell and sister Ethel Campbell.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2001 at the Congregational Church, 21 S. Batavia Avenue in Batavia. The Rev. David Foxgrover will officiate. Interment will be private. There will be no visitation.

Dolores L. Pitz, 70, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings NE. She was born November 15, 1930, the daughter of William H. and Margaret (Lorenz) White.
She married Francis J. Pitz on September 2, 1950. She was an Avon Representative for several years in Aurora, IL. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael's Altar Society and Western Catholic Union in Illinois.
Survived by her husband, Francis; her daughter Kathleen (Norbert) Trausch, of Roseland, NE.; two step-sisters, Shirley Hoffman, of CA. and Joan Schossler, of Aurora, IL.; and one step-brother, Jack Reiss, of Somonauk, IL.; five grandchildren, Carrie (Michael) Edwards, of Juniata, NE., Andrew, Kimberly, Jordan and Hope Trausch, all of Roseland, NE.; one great-grandson, Zachery Edwards of Juniata, NE.
Preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Leroy, Bernard, Jerome, Melvin and William White.

Tracy Lee Sullivan
Tracy Lee Sullivan, 48, of rural Moberly, MO., died at his home on Friday, April 6, 2001 after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Sullivan was born September 29, 1952 in Harrisburg, IL., the son of Paul Sullivan and Charlene McCord Sullivan.
He married Lucinda Ann Stone on February 6, 1971 in Aurora. They had just celebrated their 30th Anniversary this year. They moved to the Monroe, Randolph County area about seven years ago from Sandwich, IL. He was a member of Madison Baptist Church and had been employed with Allsteel in Aurora for a number of years and Ron Woods Plumbing in MO. for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife, Lucinda; his mother, Charlene Dunn of Madison, MO.; his sons, James Tracy Sullivan of Montgomery, IL., Jason Patrick Sullivan and Jerry Lee Sullivan, both of Moberly, MO.; a sister, Sarah Ann (Sullivan) Turpin of Madison, MO.; brothers, Paul Sullivan Jr. of LaPlata, MO., John Steven Sullivan of Burton, MI., Jimmy Melton, of Atoka, TN., Henry Olen Melton of Kankakee, IL., and Charles Franklin Dunn, of Oswego, IL.; a granddaughter, Brianna Sullivan; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral Services were held at Madison Baptist Church on April 10, 2001, with Rev. Howard Smith officiating. Burial Services were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison, MO.

Henry F. Blacharczyk, Jr., 53, of Woodridge, IL passed away Sunday, April 15, 2001 at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora. He was born November 15, 1947 in East St. Louis, IL.
He served the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was President of Guaranty Trust Company in Chicago. He was a Downers Grove and Woodridge resident for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Aurora Country Club, Christ the Servant Catholic Church in Woodridge and a volunteer for the Connor Okruhlica Childrens Foundation.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of Woodridge; a son, Randolph (Kelly) of Claysville, PA; three daughters, Deborah (Ryan) Doyle of Lake Orion, MI, Rebecca Blacharczyk of Romeoville, IL and Teresa Blacharczyk of Joliet; five grandchildren, Lauren, Brent, Adam Blacharczyk, Cody Ledlow and Gavin Doyle and a sister, Patricia Kroenig of Belleville, IL.

Patricia A. Goodrich, 52 of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Provena Mercy Center Hospital. She was born March 16, 1949 in Aurora, the daughter of Donald Lorenz & Phyllis Elaine (Taylor) Lewis.
Patricia was a member of the Women of the Moose.

Hermina Karafiat-Pasternak, 98 of North Aurora formerly of Broadview passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Countryside Care Centre in Aurora. She was born April 7, 1903 in Chicago to Anton and Mary (Nee, Kunes) Svec.
She is survived by her two sons John (Bernadine) Karafiat of North Aurora, Bill (Joy) Karafiat of Bolingbrook eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband George Karafiat, second Husband Charles Pasternak, and two brothers Edward and James Svec.

Bertha E. Schmars, 90, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Countryside Care Center. She was born February 2,1911 in Aurora, IL.
Bertha was a member of St. Rita of Cascia Church.
She is survived by two nephews, Ronald F. Schmars and Joseph Schmars both of Aurora; two great-nieces, Debra Johnson of Aurora and Linda Geisser of Aurora; a great-nephew, William Schmars of Berwyn; three great-great-nephews, Kevin Johnson of Aurora, Andrew Willett of Wisconsin and Jeremy Geisser of Aurora; a great-great niece, Nichole Geisser of Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Anton Schmars; two brothers, Albert and John Schmars and a sister, Mary Judd.

Heather L. Wagner, age 30, of Yorkville passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Provena-Mercy Center in Aurora, IL after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 3, 1970 in Aurora the daughter of Robert W. and Sharon L. (Swanson) White.
Heather was united in marriage on September 18, 1998 at Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville to Mr. William S. Wagner. She as a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Heather was a 1988 graduate of West Aurora High School in Aurora. She received her Associates degree in May of 2000 from Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove. Mrs. Wagner was employed for the past 13 years by Farmers Insurance Company in Aurora. She was a former member of the Claim Street Baptist Church in Aurora.
Heather truly enjoyed life, and had true zest for living every moment to the fullest. She sincerely loved her many friends and was always very caring and giving to others. Her family and friends will truly miss her beautiful and always smiling face.
She is survived by her husband, William of Yorkville; her mother, Sharon L. (James P.) Baker of Spring City, TN; her father, Robert W. (Jackie) White of Aurora; her paternal grandmother, Helen White of Palatine; her two brothers, Stefan Robert (Marbella) White of Aurora, and Michael William (Michelle) White of Plano; her nieces and nephews, Gage, Justin, Molly and Brooke as well as many friends.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Albert and Signe Swanson and her paternal grandfather, Robert E. White.
