Raymond A. Anderson
Raymond A. Anderson, 80, of Naples, Florida formerly of Aurora passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2001 at Naples Community Hospital in Naples, Florida.
He was born August 27, 1920 in Aurora, IL the son of the late Charles and Carrie (Kaiser) Anderson.
Raymond was a 1938 graduate of West Aurora High School. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II from 1942-1946. He married the former Jean Hippe on May 5, 1943 at St. Mary's Church. He worked for the Beacon News and Lyon Metal Products and subsequently founded and was President of Aurora Container Corporation until his retirement in 1986. Raymond and Jean had been seasonal residents of Naples, Florida, moving there permanently in 1992. They both were members of Holy Angels Church in Aurora and were currently members of St. William Church in Naples, Florida.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jean of Naples, Florida; his daughter, Constance J. (James) Cronin of Hanover, MA; his son, Richard C. Anderson of Bonita Springs, Florida; seven grandchildren, Kristin and Amy Anderson, James, Brendan and Kevin Cronin and Erica and Scott Anderson; his daughter-in-law, Kitty Anderson of Aurora.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his son Robert R. Anderson in 1998.
A Memorial Mass will take place at 10a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2001 at Holy Angels Church. Interment will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, April 20th at The Healy Chapel. 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Holy Angels Church or to the American Heart Association.

Richard William Lupei
Richard William Lupei, age 56, of Yorkville, IL passed away on April 19, 2001 at Rush-Copley Medical Center, in Aurora, IL. Funeral services for Mr. Lupei will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 23, 2001 at the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ. JoAnne McDuffee
JoAnne McDuffee, 74, of Aurora, formerly of Batavia passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, JoAnne was born July 8, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Herbert and Helena (Clark) Doan.
She was united in marriage to Charles M. McDuffee on November 26, 1946 in Terre Haute, IN. One of JoAnne's most memorable and proud accomplishments was that she served during WWII as a secretary for the Wright Paterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. She was a long time member of the First Christian Church of Aurora. She and her family enjoyed time spent at their vacation home on White Sand Lake in Lae Du Flambeau, Wisconsin.
Mrs. McDuffee is survived by her seven children, Charles S. "Steve" (Sandra) McDuffee of Aurora, Dave (Blythe) McDuffee of St. Charles, Kathie (Dave) Peterson of Eagle River, WI, Kevin (Gay) McDuffee of Geneva, Dianne (Richard) LaVoy of Batavia, Charlene (Ron) Hinton of Montgomery, and Marianne (Tim) Vance of Aurora; eleven grandchildren, Byron (Michelle) McDuffee of Batavia, Derron McDuffee of Burlington, IA, Jonathan (Rebecca) LaVoy of Shorewood, WI, Ronald F. Hinton of Geneva, Jennifer Peterson of Eagle River, WI, Sarah E. Hinton of Montgomery, IL., Charles Hinton of Montgomery, IL., Matthew McDuffee of Chicago, Kelly McDuffee of St. Charles, Thomas McDuffee of Geneva, and Michael McDuffee of Geneva, and a great-granddaughter, Peyton McDuffee of Batavia. She is also survived by a sister Nancy (Jim) Bumpus of Terre Haute, IN and two brothers, William Doan and Herbert (Joan) Doan, both of Terre Haute, IN.
She is also survived by a special extended family Jeannine (Greg) Pierce of Batavia, Justin Adam and Ryan Pierce of Batavia, Brett (Tammie) LaVoy of Sandwich, Brandon LaVoy of Sandwich, Timothy and Jamie Reddick of Sandwich, Brian LaVoy of Batavia and Taylor and Mitchell LaVoy of Yorkville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles M. McDuffee in 1994, her parents, Herbert and Helena Doan and two sisters, Mary Rice and Marguerite Smith of California.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 until 12:00 PM at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, then will proceed to First Christian Church 635 North Randall Road Aurora for a 1:00 PM funeral service. Interment will be at River Hills Memorial Park Batavia.

Claude C. Mount
Claude C. Mount, 95, of North Aurora passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Firwood Healthcare Center. He was born February 19, 1906 in Nekoma, IL to Charles W. and Aurora P. (Lindbeck) Mount. married 67 years to Myrtle I. Mount, who preceded him in death in 1994.
Claude was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in North Aurora. He was a custodian at the North Aurora Elementary School for 25 years. Following his retirement he was associated with the Bank of North Aurora for 10 years. He was a member of the Over Sixty Club of North Aurora and the Modern Woodsmen of America.
Survivors include his son Howard (Honey) Mount of Batavia; his daughter Joanne (Robert) Guzman of North Aurora; 12 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents; his son Keith Mount; a sister Pauline Stout and two brothers Harold and Earle Mount.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday April 20, 2001 at The Healy Chapel 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora Rev. Maureen Van Heerden will officiate. Marion E. Myers
Marion E. Myers, 82, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. She was born November 3, 1918 in Aurora.
Marion was employed by Furnas Electric in Batavia for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and the Aurora Hikers Club.
Survivors include her two sons, Ronald Funk of Aurora and Charles (Cheryl) Myers of Mt. Morris, IL; three daughters, Judy (John) Hoppe of South Elgin, JoAnne (Eugene) Capes of Elburn and Linda (Danny) Wilson of Paw Paw; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Lederman of Wheaton and Dorothy Danduran of Montgomery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Myers; her previous husband, Alex Mindar; her parents, William and Grace (Lane) Lawrence; six sisters; six brothers; and three grandchildren.

Frances P. Pein (nee Belaski)
Frances P. Pein, age 75, of Aurora, IL, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at home with her loving family beside her. She was born July 20, 1925 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Anna (nee Spilka) and Alexander Belaski. She grew up in Melrose Park, IL and was married to Richard E. Pein on October 28, 1950 in Bellwood, IL. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her family.

She is survived by two brothers, Michael Belaski, and John (Betty) Belaski; one sister, Elizabeth Yudys (late Stanley); five children, Dianna (William) Schneider, Edward, Rosemarie Myers, Pamela (Cesar) Garcia, and Paula (Greg) Sleboda; seven grandchildren, William (Brooke) Schneider, Walter Harmer, Alexander and Ashley Sleboda, Lindsey, Nicholas and Melanie Garcia; one great-grandchild, Madison Schneider; also survived by nieces, Patsy (James), Sandra (Peter), Carol, Barbara and Sheila; a nephew, Alan (Mary). Barabara A. Porter
Barabara A. Porter, age 63, of Plano, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at the Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL.
She was born on July 22, 1937 in Sandwich, IL, the daughter of Robert and Lila (Charleston) Vreeland. Barbara was united in marriage on May 4, 1957, in Millington, IL to the Mr. Donald F. Porter. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Mrs. Porter was employed as a Dispatcher, for over eight years, by the Plano Police Department in Plano, IL. Barbara enjoyed playing internet bingo and talking on her C.B. radio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Porter; her sister Marilynn Lancaster; her parents, Robert and Lila Vreeland; her mother and father-in-law, Don and Elsie Porter; and her brothers-in-law, Dwayne and David Porter.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula (Michael ) Nichols of Plano, IL, Sheila Miech of Manhattan, IL, Carla (Roger) Armstrong of Aurora, IL; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Jilliann, Justin, Jeffrey and Jason; two sisters, Jo Ellen Hollis of Sandwich, IL and Sharon Thomas of Boise, ID; three brothers-in-law, Richard (Sharon) Porter, Dallas (Judy) Porter, Dennis (Laurie) Porter; three sisters-in-law, Judy Porter, Diane (Randy) Dickinson, Perry Porter; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends, including her special friend Wanda Boling.

Bertha E. Schmars, 90, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Countryside Care Center. She was born February 2,1911 in Aurora, IL.
Bertha was a member of St. Rita of Cascia Church.
She is survived by two nephews, Ronald F. Schmars and Joseph Schmars both of Aurora; two great-nieces, Debra Johnson of Aurora and Linda Geisser of Aurora; a great-nephew, William Schmars of Berwyn; three great-great-nephews, Kevin Johnson of Aurora, Andrew Willett of Wisconsin and Jeremy Geisser of Aurora; a great-great niece, Nichole Geisser of Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Anton Schmars; two brothers, Albert and John Schmars and a sister, Mary Judd.

Tracy Lee Sullivan
Tracy Lee Sullivan, 48, of rural Moberly, MO., died at his home on Friday, April 6, 2001 after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Sullivan was born September 29, 1952 in Harrisburg, IL., the son of Paul Sullivan and Charlene McCord Sullivan.
He married Lucinda Ann Stone on February 6, 1971 in Aurora. They had just celebrated their 30th Anniversary this year. They moved to the Monroe, Randolph County area about seven years ago from Sandwich, IL. He was a member of Madison Baptist Church and had been employed with Allsteel in Aurora for a number of years and Ron Woods Plumbing in MO. for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife, Lucinda; his mother, Charlene Dunn of Madison, MO.; his sons, James Tracy Sullivan of Montgomery, IL., Jason Patrick Sullivan and Jerry Lee Sullivan, both of Moberly, MO.; a sister, Sarah Ann (Sullivan) Turpin of Madison, MO.; brothers, Paul Sullivan Jr. of LaPlata, MO., John Steven Sullivan of Burton, MI., Jimmy Melton, of Atoka, TN., Henry Olen Melton of Kankakee, IL., and Charles Franklin Dunn, of Oswego, IL.; a granddaughter, Brianna Sullivan; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral Services were held at Madison Baptist Church on April 10, 2001, with Rev. Howard Smith officiating. Burial Services were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison, MO.

Wendell J. "Wennie" Winfield
Wendell J. "Wennie" Winfield, 74, of Batavia passed away Thursday, April 19, 2001 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva. He was born December 12, 1926 in Aurora IL., to Joseph and Orpha (Schoenfeldt) Winfield.
Wennie had been square dancing in the Fox Valley for 25 years and was a member of the Fox Valley Mixers and the Rhythm Rounds. He and his wife Jacqueline just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary having been married since September 2, 1950. Wennie had been working part time at the St. Charles Library the past few years and has been a member of the Congrgational Church in Batavia. He will be remembered for being a kind, loving gentleman with a personality that could make friends with anyone. He will be missed by his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline of Batavia; two daughters, Laura (David) Daukas of Joliet, IL. and Judy (Jose) Gonzalez of Oswego, IL.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Gonzalez.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, April 23, 2001 at the Congregational Church of Batavia, where he will lie in state from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Rev. David Foxgrover will officiate and burial will be at Spring Lake Cemetery in Aurora, IL.

Hazel J. Denney
Hazel J. Denney, 88, of Aurora, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2001 at home. She was born September 17, 1912 in Aurora, the daughter of Fred and Ida Mae (English) Linden. Hazel was a member of Holy Angels Church. She was an operator for many years at Illinois Bell Co., and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Survivors include her sister, Mary (Jim) Zwart of Oswego, a nephew with whom she had resided, Martin (Carmen) Beyer of Aurora and their children: Michael, Kristy, Matthew and Tessa, as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband John J. "Jack" Denney, her parents Fred and Ida Mae (English) Linden; an infant; five sisters, Marguerite Briggs, Rachel Vickers, Betty Beyer, Shirley Linden and Josephine Linden; four brothers, Robert, Harry, Donald and Russell Linden.

Betty M. Jacobson
1921 - 2001
Betty M. Jacobson, 80, of Newark died Saturday, April 21st at the Rivershores Center in Marseilles.
Mrs. Jacobson was born March 10, 1921 in Newark to Truman & Caroline (Severson) Thorson. She married Lloyd Jacobson January 10, 1946 in Ottawa. She lived her whole life in Newark and attended the Newark Schools. She worked at Newark Farmers Grain for 40 years. She was a member of the Newark Lutheran Church, Newark American Legion Auxiliary, National Federation of Republican Women and the Fern Dell Historical Association.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd; her two sons, Barry (Joan) Jacobson of Newark, Terry Jacobson of Newark; four grandchildren, Laura (Kevin) Clausel of Newark, Brad (Kris) Jacobson of Morris, Jeff (Lisa) Lisa) Jacobson of Newark, Scott Jacobson of Indianapolis, Indiana; five great grandchildren, Jack Clausel, Will Clausel, Kyle Jacobson, Rachel Jacobson, Cory Jacobson; two brothers, Cliff (Lyla) Thorson of Loyal, Wisconsin, Dean (Betty) Thorson of Sacramento, California; three sisters, Helen (Lloyd) Nelson of Phoenix, Arizona, Lucille Ahern of Ottawa and Lois Johnson of Leland.

1911 - 2011
Trayon Kish, 89, of Aurora passed away Saturday, April 21, 2001 at Delnor Community Hospital. He was born October 21, 1911 in Aurora, Illinois.
Mr. Kish was a lifelong Aurora Native and member of St. Michael Church. Retired from Pictorial Packaging after 47 years of service. He was a lifetime member of Moose lodge #400.
He is survived by his three children, Bette Morath, Trayon (Kathleen) Kish, Richard (Nelda) Kish; three granddaughter, Patricia (Theodore) Phillips, Bette Kish, Jaclyn Morath; two grandsons George Morath Jr. and Steven (Anna) Kish; two great granddaughters, Nichole Phillips and Erica Kish; four great grandsons Theodore Phillips, Charles Phillips, Bailey Kish, Austin Kish, Jovanni Ramiro and Romero Ordonez.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marion; one sister Sylvia Tester.

Emily Amelia Maier
Emily Amelia Maier, 86, of Sandwich passed away April 19, 2001 at the Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion. She was born January 22, 1915 in Jewett, WI to the late John and Lena Chillquist.
Emily was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Plano and played in the Golden Harvesters Kitchen Band.
She is survived by her lovely children, Judy (Virgil) Duvick of Newark and John (Ruth) Maier of Plano; her precious grandchildren, Christine Duvick of Newark, Julie (Larry) Jacobgaard of Joliet and David Duvick of Newark and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be on April 24, 2001 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and funeral at 11 a.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home in Sandwich. Pastor Judy Giese will officiate. Interment will be at Little Rock Twp. Cemetery in Plano.
