Age 72. Suddenly Friday, July 26, 2002 at Silver Cross Hospital. born in Mission, Texas February 6, 1930 and a Joliet resident for the past 45 years. A U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. Retired in 1992 from the Laborers Union Local #75 after many years of service. Formerly employed by Caterpillar Tractor Company from 1956 until the mid 1970's.
Beloved husband of the late Bertha (nee Luevano) Zamora (October 18, 1990); also preceded by three brothers, Homer, Alejandro and Ruben Zamora.
Loving father of Amando (Barbara) Zamora Jr of Shorewood, Ray (Diana) Zamora of Jacksonville, NC, Brenda (David) Lopez, Paul (Kristine) Zamora, Lisa Zamora and Mario Zamora all of Joliet. 14 grandchildren; a great grandson, Josiah Zamora. Brother of Anita (Rodolfo) Garza, Olivia (Gerry) Irving, Lile (Rey) Diaz, Noe Zamora, Ediberto Zamora, Rene Zamora, Hector Zamora and Roberto Zamora. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Amando Zamora Sr. will be Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at 9:15 from the funeral home Chapel to St. Jude Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation Monday, 2-4 and 6-8:30 PM at:

Wayne Wilson Keith
Age 67, of Braceville, IL, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2003 at the Morris Hospital in Morris, IL. born April 17, 1936 in Moundsville, WV to the late Harry Thomas and Gladys Pearl (nee Adam) Keith. Wayne was a retired auto mechanic. Following his retirement he worked for Ryman and Keith Construction in Braidwood. He formerly worked at Mainline Petroleum in Joliet, IL and at J&N Wood in Columbus, OH. He enjoyed fishing and karaoke.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara C. (nee Shepherd), whom he married on August 21, 1959 in Columbus, OH; eight children, Wayne (Donna) Keith of Braidwood, IL, Allen (Julie) Keith of Braceville, Pam (Bobby) Luther of Columbus, OH, Sondra Kay Keith of Mazon, IL, Kenneth Wayne (Vickie) Keith of Braidwood, Cindy Keymon (fiance, Bradley Crohs) of Savannah, TN, Donna (Dean) Geiss of Braidwood, and Virginia (Jeff) Jones of Godley, IL; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia (late Chuck) Crozier of Wheeling, WV.
Preceding him in death were four great grandchildren, Alexis Marie, Alex, Andrew and Adrian.
Funeral services will be held at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., Braidwood Chapel, Thursday, July 31, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Braceville-Gardner Cemetery in Braceville, IL. The visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, from 4-8 p.m. Preferred memorials are gifts in his name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice.

Mildred J. Mahalik (Murnick)
Age 80, of Lockport, Sunday, July 27, 2003 at her home. She was born in Pana, IL, living in Lockport most of her life.
She was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church, Lockport and First Catholic Ladies Slovak Association.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ambrose "Bim" Mahalik (March 10, 2003); her parents, Michael and Susan (nee Thomas) Murnick; two brothers, Michael Murnick Jr. and Thomas in infancy; three sisters, Mary Rohr, Susan Cellenti and Elizabeth Zing.
She is survived by her devoted son Michael of Crest Hill; two brothers, George Murnick and Frank (Jean) Murnick, both of Cranberry Portage, Manitoba, Canada; three sisters, Ann (Joseph deceased) Pavletich of New Lenox, Catherine (Leo deceased) Lasko of Pana, IL and Barbara Heck-Brosell of Joliet; a sister-in-law, Josephine Murnick of Joliet and a brother-in-law, Robert Zing of Albuquerque, NM; numerous nieces, nephews and good friends also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice or American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

Elio O. Manarin
Age 73, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2003, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. Late of Frankfort.
He is survived by four daughters, Julie (Dan) Cooper, Cindy (Fiancee Dan Bergeron) Ellul, Gina Manarin, Valerie (John) Feehery; six grandchildren; one brother, Bruno (Itala) Manarin; two sister, Adelle (Mike) Altieri, Lisa (Guerrino) Salvador, and a sister-in-law Mary Manarin.
Mr. Manarin was born in Valvasone, Italy and lived in Frankfort since 1976 coming from the south side of Chicago.
He retired from IBEW Local 134 after many years of service. Was a member of St. Anthony Church, Frankfort and past member of the American Italian Cultural Society.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Teresa (Pasutto) Manarin and his wife Patricia Thomas.
Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Cedar at Francis Roads, New Lenox, Thursday 2-8 p.m. Services Friday, August 1, 2003, 9:15 a.m. to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Internment will be at Skyline Memorial Park, Monee.

Evelyn Jean Paulson
Age 73, of Lake Placid, NY, died Friday, July 25, 2003 at the Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Her family was at her bedside.
Born May 10, 1930, in Denver, CO, to Sidney and Glenola Magee, she is survived by her husband, William E., one daughter, Sharrel Y. (Edward) Schrader of Lake Placid, three sons, Sidney D. of Osterville, MA, Donald L. (Peggy) of Morristown, AZ, and David W. (Nannette) of Osterville, MA; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Carol (Robert) Chelpka, Sr. of Sun City, AZ, two nieces, one nephew, and a number of aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, 2003, one hour prior to an 11:30 a.m. service at the Lake Placid Baptist Church, 46 Saranac Avenue, with the Rev. Derek Spain officiating. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA, on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Teen Challenge, (www.teenchallenge.com) or the Lake Placid Baptist Church would be appreciated. M.B. Clark Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Veronica E. Quigley (nee Deany)
Age 85, late of Manhattan and formerly of Joliet, died Friday, July 25, 2003, at her home after a courageous battle with ALS. She is survived by two daughters; Joyce Quigley of Manhattan and Alice (David) Sylvester of Shorewood. Three sons; Daniel (Francine) Quigley, David (Mary) Quigley and Kevin Quigley all of Joliet. Twelve grandchildren; Lori (Robert) Walsh, Brian, Steven and Jeffrey Quigley, Raymond (Donnah) Surges, Carrie (fiance Keith Sincak) Quigley, Matthew Surges, Kelly (Neil) Ryan, Matthew and Kara Sylvester, and Christine and Sean Quigley. Three great grandchildren; Kyle and Erin Walsh and Isabelle Surges. Three sister; Josephine (William deceased) Merten of Kankakee, Mary (William) Elliot of Chebanse and Clara Kinkade of Bourbonnais. Two brothers; Donald (Anne) Deany of Piper City and Michael (Marjorie) Deany of Franklin Park. Also survived by two sisters-in-law; Kathleen (Gerald deceased) Kinsella of Wilton Center and Kathleen Deany of Chicago. One brother-in-law; Bernard (Terese) Quigley of Joliet. Numerous nieces and nephews and special caregiver Elena Bratoeva.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Emmett Quigley; her parents, William and Gertrude Koerner Deany; three brother, LeRoy, William and Vincent Deany, one sister Mary Bernice Deany, and one grandson, Keith Quigley.
Veronica was born in Cullom, IL, on May 13, 1918. A long-time resident of Joliet before recently moving to Manhattan. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Parish, CCW and part of the 7:30 a.m. Daily Mass Group. Past member of the Air Force Mothers Club and Senior Citizen Bowling League.
Funeral services for Veronica E. Quigley will be Tuesday, July 29, 9:30 a.m. from the Forsythe Funeral Home, 507 So. State Street, Manhattan, to St. Mary Magdalene Church, 127 So. Briggs St., Joliet, for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wilmington. Memorials to St. Mary Magdalene Church, Joliet, Area Community Hospice or ALS Research would be most appreciated. Of Channahon, at his residence, Sunday, July 25, 2004. Age 54 years.
Survived by his wife, Debra J. (nee Miller); his children, Bridget (Eric) Guthrie of Diamond, IL, Tonya (Bruce) Adams of Fort Campbell, KY, Christopher (Magan) Brandt of Hollow Rock, TN and April Brandt of Channahon; his mother, Joanne M. Brandt of Joliet; his grandchildren, Madalyn, Katelyn and Cory Guthrie, Kaitlyn and Brittany Adams, Dominnic Hunter and Haley Brandt, Zackery Brandt, Erin and Joseph Brandt; three brothers, Duane Brandt, Darrell (Marlene) Brandt and Dean Brandt. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father, Alvin T. Brandt (1998).
David was a Deputy Sheriff with the Will County Sheriff's Department for 23 years. Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. serving in Vietnam. Member of Minooka Bible Church.
Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Thursday, July 29th at 10 AM with Pastor David Jankowski officiating. Interment in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 6-9 PM.

Albert "Russ" Russel Brown
Age 86. Of Phoenix, AZ, Formerly of Mazon, passed away July 11, 2004. born December 9, 1917 in Oswego, IL, the son of Benjamin and Blanche (Cline) Brown.
Russ and Doris J. Lightner were married August 1950 in Joliet. He farmed in Plainfield and Mazon, IL. He was a rural Mail Carrier in Mazon for over 30 years and with his wife, they operated the Mazon Ace Hardware, for 20 years. The couple retired to Phoenix in 1994. Russ was a member of the Park Street Congregational Church of Mazon, and he was a member of the Rural Mail Carriers Association.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Doris J. (nee Lightner) Brown; his four children, Al R. "Skip" (Linda) Brown of Coal City, Patti-Jo Tinsley of St. Paul, VA, Douglas E. Brown of Elkhart Lake, WI and Penni-Jean (Scott) Smith of Indianapolis, IN; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Fern Green; two brothers, Ed (Helen) Brown and Franklin (Pat) Brown, both of Plainfield; and a special friend, Ron McGee of St. Paul, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Blanche Brown; a brother, Lloyd and his wife, Phyllis; and also a beloved grandson, Jason Brown.
Russel was cremated in Phoenix, AZ. However, a local memorial service will be held Friday, July 30, 2004, 7:00 PM at the Park Street Congregational Church in Mazon, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Park Street Congregational Church, in Russel's name, would be appreciated.

Age 60, at rest Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Northwestern Medical Center Chicago.
Survived by her loving brother and sisters, Sue (Art) Rambo, Mary Ann (George) Hohenwater, Jackie (Fiance Mick Taylor) Housman, Jayne (Tom) Naughton, John (Linda) Carroll Jr., Nancy (Tim) Kinsley. Special friends, Clarice Fox, Nancy Dragovan and Charlie Nunes. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born in Joliet.
Preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Magaret (FonK) Carroll.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Katherine Drozdek (nee Dinzik); his loving children, Cathy (Stewart) Crowley, Carol (Jerry) Jeslis, Michael (Linda) Drozdek, John (Debbie) Drozdek and Angela (John) Bugaj; 14 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Steve Dinzik; and numerous nieces and nephews.
