Virginia Hutson Grimes
Virginia Rose Grimes, 64, of Danville, died Wednesday (Aug. 25, 2004) at her home.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, Aug. 28 at Pape Mortuary, 10 E. Williams St., Danville.
Pastor Glenn Corbly will officiate.
A family gathering and visitation will be from 3-7 pm. Friday, Aug. 27, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Virginia was born July 3, 1940, in Danville, to Edgar Franklin and Ellen Mae Watts Hutson.
She attended Scottland and Ridge Farm schools.
She had formerly worked as a data entry operator with Phoenix Arizona Power and Danville Lynch Best Western.
She enjoyed karaoke, reading the Bible, collecting bears and, especially, spending time with her family.
She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Virginia married John Felix in 1958.
She later married Donald Edmund Hawkes in 1978, and Clarence Owen Grimes in 1998, all of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan (Ken) Cichocke; grandchildren, John Lee Cichocke, Misty Rose Lynn Cichocke, Jennifer Suzanne Cichocke and Amber Brooke Cichocke; a great-grandchild, Daniel Fredrick Wayne Cichocke; a brother, Donnie (Hazel) Hutson, all of Danville; two brothers, Robert Hutson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Thomas (Twyla) Hutson of Palm Coast, Fla.
She was preceded by her parents, brothers, Frank LeRoy "Red" Hutson and Melvin Wayne Hutson and sisters, Minnie Lou Ellen Hutson, Albert Marie Crowl Harris and Lelia Myrtle Mae Bowers Shipp.
Bonnie J. Andrews
Bonnie J. Andrews, 64, of Danville died at 8 p.m. Friday (Aug. 13, 2004) at home.
Mrs. Andrews was born June 3, 1940, in Mexico, Mo., a daughter of Warren L. and Francaleen Williams Fuller.
She married Robert Andrews in Danville, on June 18, 1961.
He survives.
Also surviving are a son, Robert (Kate) Andrews of Hinckely, Ill., and a daughter, Debra (Jeff) Fox of Burlington, Conn.; her mother; two sisters, Flo Anne (Robert) O'Brien of Jacksonville, Fla., and Marva (Charles) Andrews of Chicago; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Andrews graduated from Oakwood Township High School and attended the University of Illinois.
She worked in the real estate business for 30 years in Illinois, Florida, and Michigan, before retiring from Coldwell-Banker-Devonshire Realty of Danville, in 2003. .
She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and Danville P.E.O. .
She loved grandchildren, old houses, Illini sports and reading, having been a partner in the Bookcase Bookstore in Champaign.
Memorial Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lakeside-Barrick Funeral Chapel in Danville, with Drew Mentzer officiating.
Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the Provena Cancer Center or Carle Hospice.
Georgia M. Cole
She was born Dec. 19, 1909 in Veedersburg, Ind., the daughter of Claude and Corinth (Yount) Cranmore.
She married Herman Lester Cole in June 1930 in Danville.
He preceded her in death in 1981.
She is survived by: three children, Georgia Cravens-Hinchman of Oakwood, Larry (Karen) Cole of Westville, Ronald (Mary) Cole of Greenville, S.C.; a son-in-law, Robert Henthorn of Westville; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Sonnia Henthorn in 1995, one granddaughter, Dena Cole, and one brother, Gordan Cranmore.
Georgia was a very active member of First Church of the Nazarene in Danville, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was a very devout Christian who enjoyed reading the Bible, attending church and spending time with her friends.
A celebration of the life of Georgia M. Cole will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville, with the Rev. Jerry Short officiating.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Park.

Pauline Eades
ALVIN — Pauline Eades, 77, of Alvin, died at 10:58 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 11, 2004) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.
She was born July 16, 1927, in Danville, the daughter of Harrison and Grace Richards Howie.
She and her husband had resided in the Alvin area the last 40 years.
She had attended school in Danville.
Pauline had been a volunteer at Lakeview Hospital in Danville.
She was a lifetime homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family.
Also playing the piano, harmonica, cooking and baking, crossword puzzles, reading and bird watching.
She was married Jan. 3, 1958, to Kenneth Eades in Danville.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Linda (Allen) Ingram of Alvin, and Cathy (Daniel) Crowe of Canton, Ga.; four sons, Robert (Beverly) Cary of Pence, Ind., Roger (Diane) Cary of Ripley, Texas, Randy (Pat) Cary of Pence, Ind., and Tom Cary of Pikeville, Ky.; also five brothers and two sisters; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one grandchild.
Per Pauline's request, there will be no visitation and graveside services for the family only.
She also requested no flowers and any memorials be made to donor's favorite charity.
Morrison Funeral Home in Bismarck, is in charge of the arrangements.
Norman B. Gilliland
CHRISMAN — Norman B. Gilliland, 88, of Chrisman, a well-known retired Chrisman area farmer, died at 9:08 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 8, 2004) at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village Nursing Center in Chrisman.
He was born Dec. 26, 1915, at Indianola, the son of Jesse and Clara Gilliland.
He was married Aug. 23, 1941, near Chrisman, to Sylvia Tuggle.
She preceded him in death June 23, 1993.
Survivors include: two nephews, Kenny Tuggle of Chrisman and Dale Tuggle of Bakersfield, Calif.
He was a member of the Danville Elks Lodge 332 and the Edgar County Farm Bureau.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 at Woodlawn Cemetery at Indianola;
Officiating: Pastor Kenny Bass;
Visitation from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Scott-Bolen Funeral Home in Chrisman;

Betty Lou Patterson
Betty Lou Patterson, 78, of Danville, passed this life at 1:39 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 7, 2004) at Danville Care Center South with all of her children by her side.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 at Pape Memorial Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville;

She was born June 21, 1926, in Gary, Ind., to Virgil and Helen Augusta Robertson.
She retired form Americana Nursing Home in Danville.
She was survived by six children, Wayne Campbell of Danville, Mike Campbell (Lou) of Moline, Ill., Sue Bollaert (Ray) of Milan, Ill., Donna Carpenter of Danville, Steve Nolen ("DEE") of Danville, Russell Nolen of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one stepson, Raymond Nolen (Shirley) of Toney, Ala.
Also, one brother, Donald Robertson, and one sister, Helen Justice, both of Danville; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, one son, David Campbell, one granddaughter, Sharon Ross, a sister-in-law, Audrey Robertson, and spouses, Harold Campbell, Warren Nolen, and Floyd "Pat" Patterson.
She was a member of the Eagles 2799 and past president.
She enjoyed bingo and bunco.
She was a diehard CUBS fan, and most of all loved spending time with her family.
Mary Faye Montgomery
Mary Faye Montgomery, 71, of Danville, passed away at 10:50 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 5, 2004) at Danville Care Center.
Faye was born April 29, 1933, in Florence, Ala., the daughter of Toy Lennox and Opal (Holt) Smith.
Faye married Robert "Bob" Montgomery in June of 1954, in Columbia, Miss., and Bob survives of Danville.
Other survivors include her mother Opal Smith of Florence, Ala.; a son William Robert "Bobby" Montgomery Jr. of Danville; two daughters, Doris (Bill) Mahoney of Mateland, Fla., and Mary (Rich) Durnell of Catlin; two brothers Billy Ray (Omie) Smith of Mussel Shoals, Ala., and Larry (Dianne) Smith of Florence, Ala.; two sisters, Peggy (Doc) Willien of Maryland, and Judy (Billy) Blasingame of Florence; four grandchildren, Tricia Phillips and Andrea Lewallen, both of Catlin, Kelly Jo Mahoney of Florida; three step-grandchildren: Angela (Justin) Messick of Veedersburg, Ind., and Ryan and Bobby Durnell, both of Catlin; three great-grandchildren; Breighton and Blake Phillips and Carlee Richardson, all of Catlin, and two step-great-grandchildren, Cory and Abbi Messick both of Veedersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Faye's father preceded her in death.
Faye graduated from Florence High School, and Montevallo College in Alabama.
Faye worked as a counselor in family service for 20 years.
Faye was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Faye was a longstanding member of the American Legion Auxiliary and had many interests including gardening.
Memorial services: 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Rev. James Blue will officiate.
Burial: Danville National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
Valerie D. Bush Nelson
Valerie D. Bush Nelson, 74, of Pecatonica, Ill., formerly of Kingman, Ind., died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 3, 2004) at Rockford Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Jan. 12, 1930, in Centerline, Mich., she was the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Drake) Bush.
She graduated from Tangier High School, Class of 1947 and attended Moody Bible Institute, Bob Jones University and Rock Valley College.
She worked for Fountain Trust Co. in Kingman, until 1978, when she moved to Northern Illinois.
She then worked for Rockford Powertrain until she retired in 1995.
She was presently employed by K-Mart in Loves Park, Ill.
She was a member of First Congregation United Church of Christ of Pecatonica, Stonewall Café Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club, Pecatonica Women's Club, Fountain Chapter OES #204, Thursday AM Ladies Bowling League, Tuesday Ladies Night Birthday Club and a former member of Waterman Baptist Church.
She was a #1 Pecatonica Indian fan.
She collected all types of chicken and rooster figurines and decorations.
Survivors include: two daughters, Dawn (Jack) Thompson of Kingman, and Lisa (Brad) Mitchell of Pecatonica; seven grandchildren, Alison (Chad) Bailey, Leann (Steve) Wood, Erin and Kayla Thompson, George, Douglas and Emily Mitchell; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Ashlyn Bailey; three brothers, Wallace (Pat) Bush of Kingman, Joe (Betty) Bush of Edgar Springs, Mo., Gary (Maria) Bush of Lexington, Ind., and several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Marian, Gaile, Irene, Donna, Sue, Sandra and many more. She was preceded by her parents; one son, Gregory Wayne Dowers; husband, Jim Nelson; sister, Edna Marilee Bush; brother, Dick Byron; sisters-in-law, Bea Bush, Frances Bush and Patricia M. Bush and four nephews.
Funeral services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi, Ind.;
Burial: Miller Cemetery in Lodi;

Margurett L. Mack
Margurett L. Currier Mack, 102, of Danville, passed away at 10:44 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 3, 2004) at Danville Care North.
Margurett was born Jan. 5, 1902, in Eugene, Ind., the daughter of the late Frederick and Grace (Wilson) Currier.
She married Wilmer Mack on April 2, 1924.
He preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1966.
Survivors include: her grandchildren, Philip (Molly) Keener and Brent Mack, both of Rockledge, Fla., Alyson Langenkamp in Kansas, John (Julie) Mack and Mark Mack, both of Overland Park, Kan., Mark (Kim) Hopkins of Danville, Scott (Terri) Hopkins of Champaign, and Neal (Tracy) Hopkins of Houston, Texas; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; two daughters-in-law, Norma Mack of Overland Park, Kan., and Joyce Keener of Danville.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wilma Jean Keener, her son, John Wilbert Mack, a son-in-law, Larry Keener, a sister, Eleanor Schatz, two half sisters and two half brothers.
Margurett was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and the Double I Gem and Mineral Society.

Julia Chevalley
Julia Chevalley, 93, of Hillery, went to be with her Lord, Monday (Aug. 2, 2004), at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.
She was born June 1, 1911, in Lausanne, Switzerland, the youngest of 13 brothers and sisters.
She has one sister surviving, Marie Cuendet of Tonniens, France (96 years of age) and four generations of nieces and nephews in France, Switzerland, Argentina, Canada, Mali (Africa), New Zealand, and the U.S.
She is the aunt of John (Mary Alice) Hadley, Sam (Sieglind) Hadley and Paulette (Gene) Ingles, all of Danville, Paul (Beth) Hadley of Oak Park, and Anne (John) Gautier in France.
She was a nurse in Lausanne, for about 20 years and then emigrated to the U.S. in 1957.
She came to assist her sister and brother-in-law (Lydia and E.C. Hadley) in their Christian literature ministry, Grace & Truth, Inc.
It was in this ministry that she worked, until five months ago when her health began to seriously deteriorate.
In addition to her responsibilities at G & T, she spent her time visiting the sick and shut-ins in their homes and nursing homes and administering to the needs of other people.
She was always quick to share her love for the Lord with others.
She fellowshipped at Hillery Bible Chapel in Hillery.
She enjoyed gardening and painting.
She was the family historian n not a small task when you have 12 brothers and sisters, with nieces and nephews living on four continents and numbers in the hundreds!
Funeral services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Lakeside-Barrick Funeral Chapel;
Officiating: Tim Van Ryn, along with several from the family sharing in the service;
Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery;
