Age 88, of Aurora, IL died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at Countryside Nursing Center, Aurora, IL. He was born September 10, 1914 in Chicago, IL.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Esther M. (nee Ehlers) Hockstrasser of Plainfield; a daughter, Carol (Keith) Thompson of Plainfield, IL; two grandchildren, Jeffrey (Christine) Thompson of Plainfield, IL, Laurel (Jay) Rients of North Aurora, IL; three great-grandsons Jacob and Joshua Thompson, Luke Rients.
Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ella Hockstrasser and an infant brother Walter Hockstrasser.
Mr. Hockstrasser was a graduate of Proviso East High School in Maywood and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed for many years by Sunbeam Corp., Chicago, IL. While living in Aurora, Mr. Hockstrasser was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church, 19901 S. Houbolt Rd., Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated. Survived by three daughters Genevieve (Robert) Buell, Elizabeth Johnson both of Joliet and Arlene (Dale) Patterson of Union Mills, IN. Six sons LeRoy Johnson, Gordon Johnson, Richard (Carol) Johnson, Dwight and Kenneth Johnson all of Joliet, Eugene (Marge) Johnson Milace, MN, thirty grandchildren, fifty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A brother Gottfred Nelson of North Branch, MN.
Preceded in death by her husband Elmer Johnson (1970), a daughter Marilyn Hammond, a son Howard Johnson, four grandchildren Tracy, Paul Jr., Gail and LeAnne. A sister Nancy Hanson and three brothers John, Ted and Wilfred Nelson.

Born August 29, 1942, age 60. Homegoing was on Friday, July 25, 2003 at Provena Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. A resident of Joliet, IL for 35 years. Retired from Caterpillar in 1997.
Earnest leaves his memory to loving wife Vanessa (Moffett) McNair. Brothers Willie, James (Flora) McNair of Petal, MS, Charles (Sandra) McNair of Atlanta, GA, Lee Amos (Mary) McNair of Joliet, IL and E7 Staff Sergeant LeVale (Annie) McNair of Fort Jackson, SC U.S. Army.

Brothers-in-law Mitchell (Betty), LaFarrell, Vernon and Christopher Moffett. Sisters-in-law Kathe (Anthony) Roddy and Loretta Moffett. Ten grandchildren and numerous friends, nieces and nephews, including Cedric (Karena) Burkett.

Richard J. Pulaski (Polaszewski)
Age 78, of Wilmington, IL passed away Sunday, July 27, 2003 at his home.
Born December 4, 1924 in Chicago to the late Joseph and Anna (nee Gorney) Polaszewski (Pulaski). Richard was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Dur-O-Wall Wire, Inc. of Aurora, where he worked as a millwright. His memberships included St. Rose Catholic Church and the Malcolm J. Mayo V.F.W. both of Wilmington, and he was also a former member of the volunteer fire department. He greatly enjoyed fishing and photography.
Survivors include his loving wife Mary Jo (nee Roth). One son: Daniel of Reddick, IL, three daughters: Joyce Koehler of Pontiac, IL, Pamela (David) Monson of Wilmington, IL and Amy (Andy) Jingst of Iroquois, IL. Two sisters: Margaret (Leonard) Mauge of Snellville, GA and Alice (Robert) Kuba of Lake Placid, FL, 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded by his parents and one grandson, David Lee.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 between the hours of 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service 11 a.m. at the REEVES FUNERAL HOME IN WILMINGTON with Rev. Frank Vitus and Deacon Donald Dyer officiating. Interment with full military honors to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wilmington.

Age 61, of Romeoville, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2003 at her home.
Born September 16, 1941 to the late Daniel and Dominga Olivarez in McAllen, TX.
She is the loving wife of Tiburcio "Butch" Trevino and mother of Victor Trevino of Romeoville, Rachel (Tom) Carroll of Lansing, IL, and Oscar (Susan) Trevino, also of Romeoville. Grandmother of Cathy, Stephanie, Amanda, Phillip and Tyler.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30 from 4-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service 10 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Chapel in Romeoville with interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville.

Age 86. Passed away Sunday, July 27, 2003 at Rosewood Care Center, with his daughter and best friend at his bedside.
Survived by his daughter Rose Marie Werner; granddaughter Kathy Scheidt; four great-grandsons and numerous cousins. Best friend Keeshee and dear friend Ken Bernoteit.
Preceded in death by his wife Rose G. (Kowalski) Werner; daughter Eleanor Bell; parents John and Mary Louise (Sheltz) Werner; grandson John F. Bell; brother Art Werner and one sister Louise Werner.
Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Karl was an Army Master Sergeant in the Tank Destroyer Division in World War II. He was in the Carpenter Local #174 for 35 years. After retiring Karl worked security for the First Midwest Bank. Member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #1080, I.O.O.F. and the Senior Service Center. A special thank you to the staff at Rosewood and Joliet Area Community Hospice.

At rest, Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at her late residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Survived by her loving husband of 51 years John T. "Tom" Bannon. Children; Michael (Teri), Nancy (Jim Thuot) Bannon, James (Laura), Terrence (Michelle), Daniel (Mary) and Patrick (Susan), 17 grandchildren; Erin and Kellen Bannon, Jean, James and Anne Thuot, Katherine, John, Stephen, Mary Claire, Colleen, Jacob, Elizabeth, Michael, Matthew, Sarah, Margaret and Grace Bannon. A sister-in-law, Stella Tezak.
Preceded in death by her parents Frank J. and Anna B. (nee Kochevar) Tezak. 2 Brothers, Howard and Frank Tezak.
Lorraine was born in Joliet, and retired from the Joliet Junior College Administrative Office after years of service. A graduate of St. Francis Academy class of 1948. She was a volunteer with many organizations. A member of Joliet Catholic High School Mothers Club, the St. Patrick's Mothers' Club, and St. Pat's 55 Club. She was also a Eucharistic Minister at the church, an avid golfer with the Ladies of the Elks Golfers, and the Thursday Swingers at Woodruff Golf Course. Lorraine was also an avid fisherwoman. Memorials in her name to the St. Joseph Church Renovation Fund, or St. Patrick's Adopt-a-Child Fund would be appreciated.

Marian Reed Cresto, 73, of Gurnee and formerly of Waukegan, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Evanston Hospital. She was born August 21, 1930 in Joliet, IL, and had been an area resident since 1956.
Marian was a member of St. Anastasia Parish, she had worked as a vision and hearing technician for SEDOL and had also worked for many years, as a customer service representative, for the Bank of Waukegan and recently for C.I.B. Bank in Gurnee.
She is survived by her husband, with whom she was united in marriage on October 6, 1956, Joseph P. Cresto; her children, Susan Cresto of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Sally (Blake) Frodin of Clarendon Hills, IL, Michael (Rhonda) Cresto of Downers Grove, IL, and Joseph J. (Susie) Cresto of Summerfield, NC; five grandchildren, Erin, Reed and Maggie Frodin, Michael and Benjamin Cresto; her sister, Betty Jane Sullivan of Joliet; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Anna Louise (nee Bannon) Reed; and her brother-in-law, William Sullivan.
Memorial Mass will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 2, 2004 at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave., Waukegan. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Anastasia School, 624 Douglas Ave., Waukegan, IL 60085.
