Survived by his sister Mary C. (Late Peter) Tomasic; brother, Stanley (Mary) Marolt of Braidington, FL.; nieces and nephews, Judy (David) Hann, Jean (Fred) Rohder, Chet Polniazek Jr., Peter J. (Pat) Tomasic, Dan Polniazek, Tom (Evelyn) Tomasic, Nancy Callans, Dan Marolt, Maureen (Greg) Carboni, and Larry Tomasic. Also great and great great nieces and nephews survive.
Born in Joliet preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Jennie Marolt; sisters Margaret Polniazek and Jennie Marolt; brothers Stephen and Karl Marolt.
Veteran U.S. Army WWII served in Japan as a rifleman. Employed for many years at Humphries Machine Shop. Member of Cantigny Post 367 and American Legion Post 1080. Charles was an avid fisherman and gardener and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his home. Contributions to Joliet area Hospice will be appreciated.

Walter Ray "Jim"
Age 73, late of Channahon died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at his late residence. He was born in Hammond, IN, living in Lockport for 30 years before moving to Channahon. Employed by Argonne National Lab in the Physics Division for 32 years, retiring in 1986. Member of Lockport American Legion John Olson Post #18. Former member of Lockport Moose Lodge #1557, member of Joliet Moose Lodge #300. Korean War Army Veteran. Ray was an avid bowler and golfer and loved many other outdoor sports.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen (Prange) Ray.
Survived by his wife Joanne (nee Paul); one brother, William (Lue) of CA; one Godchild Erin Duffy of Orland Park; sister-in-law Janet (Kenneth) Wolf of Countryside; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Joanne would like to send her gratitude to family and friends for their support.

Age 57. Passed away suddenly Wednesday July 30, 2003 at her late residence in Joliet. born July 28, 1946 in Joliet to the late John and Virginia (Nee Federici) Hudar, and a lifetime resident. Employed with the State of Illinois Department of Rehabilitation for the past 26 years. Member of Topps and Joliet Rivals Auxiliary.
Survived by her husband John R. Van Horn of Joliet. Step daughter, Yvonne Van Horn of Joliet. One sister Marianne Hudar of Alexandria, Va. Two Aunts, Louise Grohar and Dolores Kroviak. Several cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Constance M. Van Horn will be Saturday August 2, 2003, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Ss. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. Helen E. Zeiger
Age 73 of Wilmington passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL.
Born November 11, 1929 to the late Harold and Mary (nee Schumacher) Midkiff in Chicago, IL.
She is survived by six children, Nancy (Larry) Patrick of Lockport, Patrick (Vanessa) Zeiger of MO, Kathleen (Jim) Lynne and Michael (Laura) Zeiger of Braidwood, Marilyn (Terry) Canipe of NC, and Carolyn Tibble of Wilmington. Two brothers and two sisters, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Patrick and twin brother George.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 2, 2003 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services 10 a.m. from THE REEVES FUNERAL HOME IN WILMINGTON proceeding to St. Rose Catholic Church, where a 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Age 58. Saturday, July 31, 2004 at her home. born in Russellville, AL and a Joliet area resident the past four years.
Survived by her loving husband, Marshall T. Drenning; two children, Kathy (Pete) Arens and Michael Drenning, all of Plainfield; three grandchildren, Amber, Ashley and Ryan Arens; her mother, Vivian Kish of Ohio; one sister, Linda McDonald; and one brother, Norris (Carol) Scott, both of Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rachel. Her father, William Scott.

Robert J. Erickson
Passed away at the Grand View Care Center in Blair, WI, formerly of Joliet. Age 85.
Survived by his five children, Robert N. (Sherry), Karen (Herman) Beck, Edward, Richard (Shirley) and Dale (Cathy) Erickson. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marnie (nee Mattei) Erickson (2003); his parents, Edward and Mabel (nee Connors) Erickson; his three sisters, Betty Dear Erickson, Bonnie Lou Davies and Leota Mattei. His step-father, Ed Hagemann.
Lived in Joliet until 1974, later moving to WI. Member of the Midwest Operating Engineers Local #150. Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army.
Private family services will be held with interment at Elmhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Grand View Care Center, Inc., 620 Grand View Avenue, Blair, WI 54616, would be appreciated. NO VISITATION.

Paul W. Fields
Age 77, at rest July 28, at his home in Lockport. born July 25, 1927 in Cincinatti, OH, Mr. Fields spent most of his youth in Connersville, IN, before moving to Lockport. He joined the 101st Airborne and served in Korea for three years. He worked for 30 years at South Cook County Mosquito Abatement in Orland Park and was a member of the Wilmington Sportsmen's Club for 34 years.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (nee Kovalovich), one son, Brian and numerous relatives in Connersville.
Preceded in death by his son, Steven.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 7th, from Noon until 2:00 PM at the American Legion Hall located at 15052 S. Archer Ave. in Lockport.

Age 90. Survived by his son Eugene (Kathleen) Fordonski, daughter Janice Fordonski, grandson Michael (Angela) Fordonski and great granddaughter Cecilia. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born in Joliet. Preceded in death by his wife Julia (Pucel), parents Walter and Frances (Ceranski) Fordonski, a daughter in infancy and grandson Sean.
Veteran of WWII Atlantic Front. Retired in 1976 from U.S. Steel after 35 years of service. Member of Cantigney Post VFW #367, American Legion Post 1080, Joliet Moose #300, Will County Old Timers Baseball Association and S.O.A.R.

Bernice S. Hancock (nee Tart)
Age 99. Passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Plainfield. born in Joliet and a lifelong area resident. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Hancock (1984); son, Billy (1935).
Survived by her four daughters, Joan (Donald) Storm of Plainfield, Carol (Wesley) Haas of Plainfield, Karen Repko of Joliet and Janice (late John) Staehling of CA; three sons, Richard (Anita) Hancock Jr. of AZ, James (Sue) Hancock of CA and Robert Hancock of FL; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.
