Survived by her loving husband, Brein Campbell; daughters, Katherine Maddie (Joanne Hlava), Lynn (Edward)Kuiken, Tammy (Brian) Dempsey, Kelli (Randy) Cannell; grandmother of Elizabeth and Joey McClanahan, Joseph and Angela Maddie and Meighan Cannell; great grandmother of Samantha Mullen, Nicole Mullen, Sarah Workman, Miranda Maddie, Anthony Maddie, Savannah Maddie, Presley Rogers, Sophia McClanahan. Also survived by two brothers, Harold (Dorothy) McClelland and Alex Joseph (Eleanor) McClelland. Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Katherine (Doughtery) McClelland; one grandchild, Katherine Maddie; two brothers, Clarence and Kenneth McClelland; and one sister, Ileane Bails.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 5, 2004 from 3 to 9 PM. Funeral Service at the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 7 PM with Father Reichenbacher officiating. Cremation to follow.

Of Joliet, passed away at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home Thursday, July 29, 2004. Age 90 years.
Survived by his loving daughter, Nancy (John) Marino of Joliet; proud grandfather of Sherry (Gary) Knight, Ken (Kathy) Marino, Melynie (Robert) Wagner, Kathy (Gary) Washington and Joanna (Matt) Jolly; great grandfather of Christopher and Tony Knight, Greg and Nick Marino, Breanna, Brittany, Braden Washington, Justin and Marisa Wagner.
Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years. Rose E.; a son, George Cresto, Jr; and his parents, Elizabeth and Carlo Cresto.
Born in Spring Valley, IL, was a resident of Granville and Standard, IL for 40 years, and has lived in Joliet for the past 50 years. Retired from Uniroyal in Joliet. Lifetime member of Independent Order of Foresters.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., at 7 PM. Private cremation services were held. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, WEDNESDAY, 6 to 7 PM.

Ethel Christina Englemann (nee Bogda)
Age 88, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2004 in Woodland, California. Ethel was born November 28, 1915 in Blue Island, IL to Richard and Kathi (Flassig) Bogda. She was the second of eight children.
She married Emanuel Counrad Engelmann on March 2, 1925 at the St. Peter's Evangelical Church in Frankfort. They made their home there, where the Engelmann's were early settlers arriving from Hanover, Germany in 1853. The Engelmann's continue to be property owners in Frankfort today, Ethel will be buried from the new Kurtz Memorial Chapel which now occupies the land of the former Engelmann family home. Mrs. Engelmann was proud of the Germanic heritage that she shared with her husband and leaves behind a rich genealogy full of family history, pictures and historical documents. Ethel and Emanuel raised their four boys in Frankfort until relocating to Joliet in 1955.
Ethel moved to Woodland, California in 1997 and had made her home at St. John's Retirement Home for the last four years. She will be remembered by them for her rye wit and sharp memory. Ethel enjoyed gardening, playing the organ, handwriting analysis, collecting "pulling nickel handles" and most especially genealogy and cooking.
She loved her boys and will be missed by son, Kenneth of Morro Bay, CA, son, Lester and his wife, Gail of Woodland, CA, son, Thomas of Frankfort; grandchildren, Eric and his wife, Jackie of Jacksonville, IL, Glenn and his wife Terry of Jacksonville, IL, Hope of Denver, CO, Randal of Boston, MA, Carrie of Frankfort, Neil of Grover Beach, CA and Kevin of Frankfort; great grandchildren, Brandon, Clayton, Dustin, Savannah and Chase. Ethel will also be dearly missed by her sister, Mildred and daughter-in-law, Ethel Beckman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel in 1991; and her son, Lawrence in 1950; her grandson, Tedd in 1975; and daughter-in-law, Katherine in 1989.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 4, 2004 from 10 until 11 AM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL, 60432. Funeral service to follow at 11 AM at the chapel. Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Frankfort.

Age 50, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2004 at St. Margaret Mercy in Hammond, IN. Late of Hammond, IN.
She is survived by her mother June (Olmsted) Findeisen-Corcoran. One brother Ernest Findeisen. And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathy was formerly of the Chicagoland area. She was a hairstylist for Cost Cutter Hair Center.
She was preceded in death by her father Ernest Findeisen.

Geraldine D. Fix "Jeri" (nee Watts)
1921-2004
Age 83. Passed away Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.
Survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George E. Fix; two sons, William (Tasmin) and Gregory (Theresa); two daughters, Jacque (Larry) Sears and Peggy (Morris) Bailey; 16 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, William R. (Fern) Watts and Leila M. (Dominick) Zanella.
Geraldine was born in Champaign, IL, grew up in Logansport, IN and resided in Joliet for the past 50 years. She was a precinct judge in Joliet, and a longtime active member of the Republican Party. Jeri worked at the Sky Lark Restaurant for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jeri's dear friends, Robert and Agnes Dobczyk, and valued neighbors, Jeff and Theresa Berta for all of their help and support.

Edna M. Gray (nee Catchpole)
Age 97, a Plainfield, IL resident since 1912 died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Lakewood Living Center, Plainfield. She was born September 24, 1906 in Chicago.
She is survived by two great nieces, Gayle (Doug) Morton of Michigan and Lynne (David) Buck of Elgin, IL; five cousins, George (Elaine) Luce of New Jersey, Philip Luce of Plainfield, Mildred Gordon of California, Emerald Watts of New Mexico and Marge Greger of Joliet, IL; and special friends, Myron and Audrey Pennington of Plainfield and James Wilson of Michigan.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Martin P. Gray, whom she married August 24, 1968; her parents, Edward and Halie Catchpole; and an infant sister.
Edna lived in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood in her younger years before moving to Plainfield in 1912. She was an active member of The First Baptist Church of Plainfield since 1924 and was currently the congregation's oldest member. She was baptized on February 3, 1924 and throughout the years played the organ and piano, sang in the choir, worked with youth and served as a Sunday School teacher and financial secretary for the church. Edna served as a bookkeeper for Wilbur Luce Furniture Store and Funeral Home from 1936-1957. She also was employed by Railoc Company, Plainfield and later as a secretary/bookkeeper for Plainfield High School and Indian Trail Middle School. She was a resident of Tiller's Nursing Home, Oswego, IL from 1990-1999 and Lakewood Living Center since 1999. She enjoyed traveling, reading books and gardening.
Family and friends will meet Wednesday, August 4, 11 AM at Plainfield Township Cemetery, Plainfield for grave-side services with Rev. Andrew O'Neal officiating. Robert J. Schuster
Age 90. Passed away peacefully Saturday, July 31, 2004 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. born in Joliet to the late John and Laura (Yack) Schuster, he was a life long resident. A World War II United States Army veteran serving in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. Retired from Naal Plumbing in 1980. Formerly employed with Schuster and Son Plumbing. Previously he started his career as a typewriter mechanic and spent a year at the Joliet Arsenal manufacturing TNT. Graduate of St. Raymond Grade School and DeLaSalle High School (Joliet Catholic Academy). A long time active member of St. John Catholic Church, serving his church as Eucharistic Minister, usher and member of the Holy Name Society. An avid golfer and hunter, he enjoyed surfing and downhill skiing through his sixties and bowling up until the age of 89. Robert was a true lover of life.

(Karen) Schuster; devoted grandfather of 27; proud great grandfather of seven; fond brother of Jack (late Mary Evelyn) Schuster and Catherine (late Dewitt) Bourrie; sister-in-law, Mary Schuster; and dedicated caretaker, Joy Kozlowski. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Went home to be with the Lord, Monday August 2, 2004, at her residence. Age 91 years.
Survived by her three daughters, Carol (Bill) Lehmann, Donna (Don) Kelly and JoAnn (Tom) McGregor, all of Joliet. Her brother George (Joyce) Johnston; two sisters, Alice (Norton) Carey and Norma (Virgil) Slick; six grandchildren, Donald (Sandy) and Dennis (Jamie) Kelly, Thomas McGregor, Terri (Jeff) Kochel, Keith (Robin) Lehmann and Kristi Lehmann; ten great-grandchildren. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles Vetter (1999); her parents, Calvin D. and Anna (nee French) Johnston; three brothers, Robert, Earl and Melvin Johnston; two sisters, Bernice Moore and Anna Johnston, in infancy.
Member of Maranatha Baptist Church. Graduate of J.T.H.S. class of 1929. Marjorie was devoted to serving the Lord through her dedication and devotion of her time to Maranatha Baptist Church.
