Robert James Gifford
Age 72, passed away suddenly July 31, 2002 at Glenwood Care Center.
Robert is survived by his son, Michael (Judy) Gifford, Sr., daughter Lee Ann Gifford, beloved grandfather of Michael (Betty) Jr., Angela, Christina, Steffany and Rachel Gifford, all of Joliet; great grandfather of Brittney and Michael III.
Preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel Gifford; two grandchildren, Laurie Ann and Thomas James Gifford.
United States Army Veteran. Robert will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2002 10AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Arrangements by:

Violet A. Henry (nee Wise)
Age 67, of Morris, formerly of Lemont, August 3, 2002. born in Chicago, residing in Lemont for 45 years, moving to Morris in 1999. Employed by Argonne National Laboratory for 22 years, retiring in 1995.
Survived by her husband, Albert "Hoppy" Henry; four daughters, Gloria (John) Ruppert of Lockport, Kathy (Joe) Error of Oak Ridge, TN, Cindy (Larry) Putty of Newark and Lynn (Mark) Labno of Lockport; a son, Gary (Kellie) Henry of Lemont; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her mother, Violet Wise of Needles, CA; and eight younger brothers and sisters.
Preceded in death by her father, William Wise.
Funeral Services Wednesday, August 7, 2002, 11 AM at the Markiewicz Funeral Home, 108 Illinois St., Lemont. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien. Visitation Tuesday, 2-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Greater Chicago Chapter.

Preceded in death by parents John and Genevieve (Seeley) Hamilton and one sister Catherine Hamilton.
Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Graduated from St. Raymond's and St. Francis Academy. Retired from Silver Cross Hospital after 25 years. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Age 59. died suddenly Wednesday, July 31, 2002. born in Joliet on August 11, 1942 and a lifetime resident. Graduate of Joliet Township High School. Retired from Electro-Motive in 1992 after over 30 years of service. An avid fisherman. Member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
Survived by his wife, Donna nee Hartley, (Zimmerman) Kijowski; four children, Karen (Paul) Kalbacher of Lakeland, FL, William (Dawn) Kijowski, Julie (David) Frazier and Jeffrey Kijowski all of Joliet; his father, Andrew Kijowski of Joliet; stepchildren, Daryl Zimmerman of St. Louis and Diane (Brian) Elis of Tampa, FL. Proud grandpa of Marie and Nicole; Kayla and Jana; Ian, Jarod and Caitlynn; and Gabriel. Brother of Eleanore Steffens, Edward (Carol) Kijowski and Lawrence Kijowski. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Age 95. Passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2002 in Hollywood, FL. born July 19, 1907 in Wesley Township in Will County.

Survived by eight children; three sons, Lee Taylor (Henrietta) of New Orleans, Fred Taylor (Roxie) of Joliet, Johnny Taylor (Cathy) of Hazel Crest, IL; five daughters, Edna Jones (Collis), Katherine Bell, Joyce Davis (Ike), Carolyn Tucker, Sharie Collins (Paul) all of Joliet.
One nephew, Arthur Lewis (Rosie) of Chicago, IL; one son-in-law, Forest Willis of Madison, WI; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Born in Rankin County, MS to Wiley and Sally James. She lived the majority of her life in Hattiesburg, MS before residing in Joliet in 1980.

Anna O. Yangas (nee Mizner)
Age 89, late of Orland Park, Friday, August 2, 2002 at her late residence. born in Chicago, living in the south suburbs for 30 years. One of the founding members of Will County Republican Women's Organization and with her husband Louis was active in Will County politics and issues. Anna devoted her life and energy to her husband, family and home.
Preceded in death by her husband Louis; a son, Carl; her parents, John and Anna (Krejci) Mizner; two brothers, Johnny and Edward Mizner.
Survived by her children, Joanne Yangas, Lois (Erik) Sandvik and Roger (Jean); eight grandchildren, Debbie, David, Christa, Louis, Angela (Oscar) Rodriguez, Andrea, Jon and Adrienne; a great grandson, Oz Rodriguez. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Palos Community Hospital Hospice would be appreciated.

Age 76, of Horseshoe Bend, AR. died Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, AR. born in Maryville, TN, he was a World War II Army Veteran and retired from the Kemlite Co. in Channahon, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Anderson; two sons, James Edward (Maria) of Joliet, IL and Ricky Anderson of San Raphael, CA; two daughters, Gail Anderson of Joliet and Debbie Brown of Springfield, IL; one brother, Jack Anderson of Maryville; two sisters, Katherine Ward and Maggie Wilburn, both of Maryville; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Leonard Smith officiating and burial in Violet Hill Cemetery.

Age 47, died Thursday, July 29, 2004 at his residence after a lengthy illness. born in Joliet. A graduate of the class of 1974. Formerly employed at Caterpillar for 10 years and Ivex Corp. for the last 18 years.
Preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Annette Campbell; one son, Anthony Bates of Joliet of Joliet and two daughters, Karla (Carlos) Maiden and Kendall (Elroy) Norris both of Joliet. Two step-daughters, Keshia and Dajah Lane both of Kosciosko, MS; eight grandchildren, his aunt, Bernadine Taylor of Chicago and a special person in his life, Aaron Smith. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Range Funeral Home with interment at Elmhurst Cemetery.
