Age 94, of Mt. Morris, IL died August 14, 2003 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home. Dorothy was born July 19, 1909 in Joliet, IL the daughter of John and Mary (Ott) Condon. She married Howard Earl Kinton on July 17, 1937 in Kokomo, IN. Dorothy began teaching in a one room school house and retired from teaching at East Aurora School District in 1972. Dorothy graduated from Joliet High School Class of 1927 and received her B.A. from Northern Illinois University in 1961. Dorothy moved to Mt. Morris in 1998 moving from Aurora, IL which she lived in from 1957-1998. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Aurora, IL; Illinois Retired Teachers; Aurora Area Retired Teachers; Easter Seal Auxillary; and the Methodist Women.
Dorothy is survived by son, Jack (Evelyn) Kinton, North Aurora, IL; daughter, Nancy (Paul) Smith, Mt. Morris, IL; grandsons, Daryl (Lori) Kinton, Denver, CO, Keith Kinton, Aurora, IL, Peter (Julie) Smith, Rockford, IL, Brian (Paula) Smith, Belvidere, IL, Kevin (Lynn) Smith, Asheville, NC, Robert (Erin) Smith, Holly Springs, NC; and five great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and husband Earl Kinton.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 18, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in Garfield Cemetery, Geneva, IL with the Rev. Martha Lewis officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 until Service time at Garfield Cemetery. Memorials to First United Methodist Church or Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home.

Guadalupe A. Sanchez
Age 100. Passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, August 13, 2003. born in China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on January 20, 1903. Lived in Texas from 1911 to 1949 then moving to Joliet where she resided until her passing.
Preceded in death by her husband, David Sanchez; her son, Domingo Sanchez Sr. (Elvira); and her daughter, Eva Camacho (Samuel Sr.).
Survived by four children, Gregoria (late Ysidro) Camacho, Onesimo (Olivia) Sanchez, Romana (Marzo) Venegas, and Maria Angel Kelly; six step children, David Sanchez, Herminia Solis, Seferino (late Magdalena) Sanchez, Carmen (late William) Storm, Richard (Ruth) Sanchez and Dora (Rudy) Hernandez; Lupita, as she was known, had 48 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, 1500 Black Rd, Sunday, August 17, 2003 from 5 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be Sunday at 7 PM and Monday, August 18, 2003 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Luis Loera officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements by:

Age 79, of Coal City, Thursday evening, August 14, 2003 in his home.
Survived by his wife, Jo Ann; five children, Ron (Reid) Skubic of Holden Beach, NC, Gary R. (Jean) Skubic of Coal City, Mark A. (Kris) Skubic of Woodbury, MN, Norm (Sue) Shambaugh of North Aurora, IL and Chris (Bill) Gullberg of Kirkwood, IL; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Lori (Marvin) Tyler of Coal City and Jenne Vercelote of Joliet; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Helen; three brothers, Frank, Anton and Joe; seven sisters, Mary, Ursula, Anna, Frances, Toots, Marge and Lucille.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2003 at 10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood. Anna Frank Wollak
Passed away Thursday, August 14, 2003 in Louisville, KY. She was a widow of Charles Wollak, M.D. She moved to Louisville in 2000 to be near her son and daughter-in-law. born in Frankenthal, Germany, Mrs. Wollak moved to Joliet with her husband in 1946 when he resumed his medical practice after serving as a Medical Officer in WWII. She was a native of Germany, moving to America in 1938 to escape Nazi tyranny. Mrs. Wollak was active in the community and in her congregation. Member of the Joliet Jewish Congregation; life member of Hadassah; life member of Saint Joseph Medical Center Women's Auxiliary; life member of the National Women's Committee of Brandeis University; past member of Sisterhood and past member of the Will Grundy Medical Society.
She is survived by her son, Ted and daughter-in-law, Trudy of Louisville, KY; and many friends and relatives.
Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles Wollak (1990); one son, Charlie (1966).

Lorene Yarbrough (nee Mayfield)
Age 75. Friday, August 15, 2003 at home. born October 2, 1927 in Clarksville, TN, she was a resident of New Lenox for the past 55 years. Retired from Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Surviving are her two sons, Larry Dean Yarbrough of Lawton, OK and Dennis L. (Karen) Yarbrough of Frankfort, IL; grandchildren, Denise (Gregg) Flanc, Steve (Kathi) Yarbrough, Dean Alan (Mary) Yarbrough, Keith (Tammy) Yarbrough, James (Kathy) Yarbrough, Angela Yarbrough, Tony Yarbrough, Lora Yarbrough, Dana Yarbrough, and Cari Yarbrough; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is one sister, Shirley M. (Fred W.) Breen of Joliet.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Yarbrough (1976); one grandson, Danny Yarbrough (1988); parents, Alva and Sally Mayfield; three sisters, Frances (late Grady) Proctor, Hattie (late John) Lantz and Hazel (late Harry) Yarbrough; two brothers, Robert and Jack Mayfield.

David Wayne Blankenship
Age 62. Passed away Friday, August 13, 2004 at his late residence with family at his side, due to complications from ALS. born October 1, 1941 in Barlow, KY and a resident of Joliet the past 50 years.
A U.S. Navy veteran, serving aboard the USS Manley. Employed as a mechanic all his life, retired from Camping World, July 2003. Member of the Illini RC Boating Club. David enjoyed camping, traveling and spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Born May 10, 1931 in Joliet, Illinois.
Survived by a loving sister, Joyce Brophy, a Sister of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods, IN; Beverly J. Riva and Lois K. Benich, life-long dearest friends; and sister-in-law, Beverly Burns Brophy. Also survived by a dear niece and nephews, Brian E. (Maureen) Brophy, Beth (Nicholas) Starcevich, Timothy M. (Rayna) Brophy, Robert P. Brophy and Michael B. Brophy; also nieces, Sara Schott Clem, Megan Schott Paden; nephew, Joel Riva Schott; and many other dear relatives and friends; Auntie Great to Brie N. Starcevich, Erin B. Brophy, Nicholas R. Starcevich, Kerry L. Brophy, Ryan B. Starcevich, Margaret M. Brophy, Robert E. Brophy III, Daniel J. Brophy, Taylar G. Brophy, Hanna M. Clem, Nathan J. Clem and Braden E. Margaret A. Brophy graduated from St. Mary's Carmelite grade school, Providence Catholic High School and St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing. She also graduated from DePaul University, BS and MBA. She was a member of Pi Gamma Mu National Social Science Honor Society and the Irish American Society of County Will.
She served the community of Joliet as the first lay Director of the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, first woman Associate Administrator of St. Joseph Medical Center, founding member of the Board of Will-Grundy Medical Clinic, member of the original Committee to establish the Joliet Area Community Hospice, vice-chair and member of the Joliet Housing Authority, Chair of the Accreditation Board of the National League for Nursing, and many other local and national health related Boards.

Age 18 years, died suddenly Thursday, August 12, 2004 at Silver Cross Hospital. born in Landstuhl, West Germany. He resided in Joliet for ten years. A student at J.T.H.S. Central.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, paternal grandparents, and four uncles. Survived by his parents: Marietta Jones of Joliet and Edward Coleman of Newport News, VA, one brother: Edward Coleman III, and one sister, Ashanti Charles of the U.S. Airforce. His maternal grandmother, Rosie Jones, eight uncles and five aunts. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A best friend, Nathan Hill.

Kenneth R. Strong
Age 83, passed away on August 13, 2004 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet. He was born May 29, 1921. He was a lifetime resident of Lockport. He served in the United States Army, during World War II. Past Commander of American Legion Post #18, past Vice President of Will County Historical Society; past Town Crier for Canal Days, lifetime member of First Congregational Church in Lockport.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Mary Agnes (Pavlich) Strong; his children, Dennis (Jackie) Strong, Carol Graham, Terry Strong, Jerome (Janet) Strong, Brian (Debbie) Strong and Randy (Laura) Strong; his brothers, Norbert (Shirley) Strong and Darrell (Frances) Strong; his sisters, Shirley (Russell) Hill, Beryl (Frank) Swensen and Charlene (Robert) Kobe; 15 grandchildren, Stephen, Shane, Gina, Tony, Joey, Jason, Carissa, Alicia, Johathan, Shelly, Adam, Nathan, Jennifer, Samantha and Kelsey; and nine great grandchildren, McKenna, Payton, James S., Austin, Emma, James B., Ethan, Emily and Jacob.

Darrin R. Yeager
Age 38, a Plainfield resident since 1999, formerly of Rock Island and Woodridge, IL, died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, IL as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born April 6, 1966 in Rock Island, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine (nee Wegerer) Yeager of Plainfield, whom he married September 2, 1989; two children, Heather and Justin Yeager of Plainfield; his parents, Richard F. and Judith A. Yeager of Rock Island; a brother, Brian (Brooke) Yeager of Crown Point, IN; a sister, Gina (Joe) Boland of Moline, IL; six nephews; parents-in-law, Vernon and Loma Wegerer of Moline; a sister-in-law, Jenell (Brad) Krause of Milwaukee, WI; and a brother-in-law, Brian (Marcy) Wegerer of Coal Valley, IL.
Darrin grew up in Rock Island, was a 1984 graduate of Rock Island Alleman High School and later received his degree in finance from Bradley University in Peoria. He was most recently employed by Gillete Corp., Romeoville, IL as a warehouse manager. Darrin was a member of St. Mary Immaculate Church, Plainfield and enjoyed working in his yard and golfing.
Visitation Tuesday, August 17, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 309 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL. Services will begin Wednesday, August 18, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Immaculate Church, 129 S.
