Scott Stuart Anderson
Scott Stuart Anderson of Lake in the Hills, formerly of Elmhurst, died Friday, May 12, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.
Mr. Anderson, 41, was born May 6, 1965, in Elmhurst. He was a graduate of York High School, Class of 1983 and the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
He was preceded in death by his father, G. Stuart.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his mother, Iligene; his brother, Dr. Mike (Sara) Anderson; his niece, Polly Mahoney; and his cousins, Michael Mahoney and Wendy (Jon) Garand.
A funeral was held Tuesday, May 16, at Yorkfield Presbyterian Church of Elmhurst. The Rev. Michael Toburen officiated. Interment was private.

Carol Basner
Carol Basner of Elmhurst died Sunday, May 14, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Basner, 80, was born Sept. 29, 1925, in Chicago. She was a member of Lombard Christian Reformed Church. Mrs. Basner was a nurses' aide.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; her daughter-in-law Lynn; her sisters Marion (George) Voss, Marjorie (Richard) Feyen and Frances Lubben; her brother, David (Jenny) Lubben; and her brother-in-law Marlin Lambers.
Mrs. Basner is survived by her children, Daniel (Callie) Basner, Swanie (Michel) Fuller and Larry; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Diana and Joel Basner, David, Davonia and Ryan Fuller, Amy (Brad) Alles and Nicole Halferty; her great-grandchildren, Justin, Joshua and Cameron Alles; her sisters Jean Lambers and Henni (Ronald) Driesenga; her brothers Ralph (Gladys), George (Goldie), Fred (Joyce) Lubben; and her many nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Wednesday, May 17, at Knollcrest Funeral Home in Lombard. The Rev. Nathan Elgersma officiated. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.

Seamus 'Jim' Brennan
Seamus "Jim" Brennan of Hinsdale died Friday, May 12, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Mr. Brennan, 83, was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Monaghan, Ireland. He moved to Chicago in 1948 and married in 1953. Mr. Brennan was a successful contractor of residential homes throughout Chicago and the suburbs.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, nee King; his children, Alice (Dean) Daniele, Martha (Daniel) Weinfurther, Margaret (Michael) Lesiak, Maureen (Steven) McHugh and Martin (Megan); his grandchildren, Kevin, Brian, Andrew, Amy, Andrea, Megan, Jim, Shelia, Michelle, Kelly, Katie, Seamus, Molly and Quinn; and his sisters, Kathleen and Eileen.
A Mass was said Monday, May 15, at Notre Dame Church in Clarendon Hills. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

E. Barbara 'Bunny' Reinhardt Daich
E. Barbara "Bunny" Reinhardt Daich of Westmont, formerly a longtime Clarendon Hills resident, died Thursday, May 11, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Mrs. Daich, 78, was born April 4, 1928, in Nyack, N.Y.
She is survived by her children, John W. Reinhardt and James Kilby (Kathy) Reinhardt; her grandchildren, Sean Kilby (Heather) Reinhardt, Terra (Max) Biglieri, Megan McShane Reinhardt, Catlin McShane Reinhardt and Mara McShane Reinhardt; and her great-grandchildren, Mara Biglieri and Hailey Reinhardt.
Memorial visitation will be from noon to 1:15 p.m. followed by a service Sunday, May 21, at Gibbons Elliston Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale.

Virginia F. Donoghue
Virginia F. Donoghue of La Grange died Saturday, May 13, at home.
Mrs. Donoghue was born in Chicago. She was a graduate of Mount Mary College in Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. James V., and her sisters Margaret Fullam and Helen Butler.
Mrs. Donoghue is survived by her son, James V. Jr. (Nancy) of Elmhurst; her two grandchildren; her great-grandchild; and her sister Dorothe F. (James) Brennan.
A Mass was said Friday, May 19, at St. Francis Xavier Church in La Grange. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

William O. Eldridge
William O. Eldridge, a 52-year Hinsdale resident, died Friday, May 12, at his home.
Mr. Eldridge, 80, was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Christopher. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was an active member and board member of Christ Lutheran Church of Clarendon Hills. Mr. Eldridge was past master and secretary emeritus of Hinsdale Masonic Lodge 934. He was past president of the Hinsdale Rotary Club and secretary for more than 20 years with the Hinsdale Community Service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dolores.
Mr. Eldridge is survived by his daughters, Theresa Ziemer (Ruben Garcia), Judith (Luis) Garcia, Nancy (Mark) Mizura and Barbara (Ty) Holden; and his six grandchildren.

Evelyn Hallenbeck, nee Abraham, a 30-year Oak Brook resident, died Monday, May 15, at her home.
Mrs. Hallenbeck, 100, was born June 27, 1905, in Sleepy Eye, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George G.
Mrs. Hallenbeck is survived by her children, Dr. George (Mary) and Joan (John) Titus; her grandchildren, Susan (Charles) Tilford, Mary (Chris) Clark, George (Katy) Hallenbeck Jr. and Bill (Laura) Titus; and her six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, May 18, at Grace Lutheran Church, 7300 Division St., River Forest. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace.

Robert O. Hare
Robert O. Hare, a lifelong Lemont resident, died Thursday, May 11, at Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Affairs Hospital in Maywood.
Mr. Hare, 78, was born Sept. 22, 1927, in Chicago. He was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Hare was a retired truck driver and a midget race car driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Libby, and his grandsons Michael and Matthew Hare.
Mr. Hare is survived by his children, Gail M. (Gregg) Zink, Bruce A. Pernicka and Michael E. (Margaret); his grandsons Gregg Jr. and Geoff Zink; his sister, Charlotte Graham; his brother, Dr. Edwin (Mary) Hare of Willowbrook; and his friend, Violet Stetina Hare.

L.M. 'Bud' Holt
L.M. "Bud" Holt of La Grange died Friday, May 12, at his home.
Mr. Holt, 83, was born July 26, 1922, in Kirbyton, Ky. He was a manufacturing representative for General Electric. Mr. Holt enjoyed many activities at the La Grange Country Club, including playing on its bowling team.
He is survived by his wife, Vivienne, nee Rambo; his children, Pamela (Jim Green), Brad and Tim (Melody); his grandchildren, Noah, Nolan and Dan; and his sister, Roberta (Dr. James) Wells.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, May 17, at First Congregational Church of La Grange. Interment was private.

Thomas H. Hughes
Thomas H. Hughes of Naperville and Hemet, Calif., died Monday, May 1, in Hemet.
Mr. Hughes, 68, was born Aug. 22, 1937, in Springfield. After earning his doctorate from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, he settled in Hinsdale in the early 1970s. He held various administrative positions at Community Consolidated Elementary District 181. After retiring, Mr. Hughes and his wife moved to Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and opened Door Circle Tours.
In 2000, they sold their business and home in Door County and moved to Hemet, where they spent their winters. Mr. Hughes and his wife enjoyed travel, motorcycling and their many friends who live across the country. He always lent a helping hand and shared his time and talents.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Willene J.; his children, Lawrence (Mia) and Elizabeth (Edward) Eshoo; his grandchildren, Brittany, Eddie and Emily; and his brother, Richard (Nancy) Hughes.
