Dorothy Szatkowski
Dorothy F. Szatkowski, 75, of Chicago’s Northwest Side, died on July 16, 2002 at Resurrection Medical Center, Chicago.
Mrs. Szatkowski had worked as a supervisor for Littlefuse in Des Plaines.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene; children, Joyce (Bill) Hayes and Wayne (Audrey); grandsons, Donald and Eugene Szatkowski; and great-grandchild, Kennedy Szatkowski.
Funeral service was held on July 10 in Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, Niles. Burial was in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.

Rosemary Burke
Rosemary J. (nee Jacobs) Burke, 91, of Chicago's Edison Park community, died on Sept. 21, 2003 in the Resurrection Medical Center, Chicago.
Mrs. Burke worked as a personnel clerk for the U.S. government. She became a resident of the Norwood Park Home.
Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, she is survived by her children, Mary (Eric) Pearce, Michael (Celeste), John (Denise), Thomas and David (Diane) Burke; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was in M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, Chicago. Her funeral Mass was celebrated on Sept. 26 by the Rev. Eric Meyer, CP, associate pastor, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Chicago. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Memorials to Good Shepherd Manor, P.O. Box 260, Momence IL 60954, are appreciated.

Harold Gorski
Harold B. Gorski, 75, of Chicago's Norwood Park community, died on Sept. 19, 2003 in Resurrection Medical Center, Chicago.
Mr. Gorski served in the U.S. Navy. He was an industrial painter for International Harvester and a member of the United Auto Workers for more than 30 years. He also worked 25 years at Sears in Golf Mill.
Dubbed "the Mayor of Oak Park Avenue" by his many longtime neighbors, he was a Scoutmaster and a founding member of the athletic program at St. Thecla Parish.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty (nee Crowley); children, John (Mary) of St. Charles, Robert (Donna) of California, William (Laura) of Arlington Heights and David (Goldie) Gorski of Chicago; grandchildren, Melissa, Robyn and Amy; brother-in-law, William (Evelyn) Crowley and sister-in-law, Marcia (Charles) Lamb.
Visitation was in M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, Chicago. His funeral Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Robert Darow, pastor of St. Hilary Church and a former associate pastor of St. Thecla Church, on Sept. 23 in St. Thecla Catholic Church, Chicago. Entombment was in All Saints Mausoleum, Des Plaines.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.

Susan Lehrmann
Susan (Assunta) A. (nee DiGiglio) Lehrmann, 79, of Chicago died on Sept. 12, 2003 in Resurrection Medical Center, Chicago.
Mrs. Lehrmann was an active member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church, chairwoman of many events especially spring luncheons and holiday fairs. She was past president of WELCA. Her church banners, posters, table centerpieces and dollhouses were constant features at church events. She was past president of the Church Council.
Mrs. Lehrmann attended Steinmetz High School and studied at the Art Institute of Chicago.
She worked at the American Medical Association and Guardian Pharmacy.
She was a Girl Scout leader and member of Dever Elementary and Steinmetz High School PTAs; a Dever School minstrel show director and performer; and reunion chairwoman of her Steinmetz 50th reunion. She also was a member of POINT Genealogical Group.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, George; her children, Karen-Sue (Frank) Bucaro of Norridge and Patricia (Chester) Pallohusky; grandchildren, Christopher Bucaro (band director at Giles and Leigh Elementary Schools in Norridge) and Sherry Bucaro, Brian and Sarah Pallohusky; great-granddaughter, Annalisa Bucaro; sister, Serafin DiGiglio; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Overbey.
Visitation was in Cumberland Chapels, Norridge. Funeral service was held on Sept. 16 in Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Chicago. Burial was in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago.
Memorials to Rainbow Hospice or Martin Luther Church would be appreciated.

Robert E. Hotten
Funeral services for Robert E. Hotten, 74, a resident of Elk Grove Village for 43 years, were held March 31 at Grove Memorial Chapel, Elk Grove Village. born In Albany, N.Y., he died peacefully on March 28, 2004 with his family around him at Alexian Brothers Hospice House.
Mr. Hotten was a retired 42-year employee of Illinois Bell Telephone in public relations. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, past president of the Elk Grove Jaycees and the Elk Grove Lions Club and a member of the Park Ridge Masonic Lodge #988.
Mr. Hotten is survived by his wife of 48 years, Beverly J. (nee Toepper); three sons, the Rev. Robert W. (Lisa), Richard E. (Christine) and Ronald A.; four grandchildren, Megan, Taylor, Kristin and Nicole; and a sister, Charlene (Albert) Himmel.
Interment was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Memorials may be made to the Elk Grove Lions Club.

William M. Gleason
A funeral Mass for William M. Gleason, 53, of Schaumburg, was celebrated March 23 at Our Lady of Ransom Church, Niles. born Aug. 22, 1950, in Chicago, he died March 19, 2004 at Alexian Brothers, Elk Grove Village.
Mr. Gleason worked as car salesman. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.
Mr. Gleason is survived by his wife, Sue Kreuter; two children, Claire and Bill; his parents, William and Adrienne; his siblings, Nancy (Lawrence Richter), Judyanne (Douglas Shreffler), Mary Faith (Thomas) Flahive, Kathleen (Abel Macias), Maureen (Charles Farley), Joanne (George Hogen), Martin (Susan), Colleen (Michael) Galich, Brian (Karen), Kevin (Kelly), Patricia (Daniel) Wagner, Timothy (Susan) and Joseph (Lisa); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nora; and two brothers, Terrence (Gloria) and Joseph (Bea) Garcia.
Interment was in All Saints Cemetery, Niles. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Gleason Children's Education Fund in care of U.S. Bank, 8500 Dempster, Niles IL 60714.

Elfrieda Redeker
Funeral services for Elfrieda (nee Kastning) Redeker, 91, of Huntley, a former longtime resident of Schaumburg, were held March 31, 2004 at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, Schaumburg. born Dec. 26, 1912, in Schaumburg, she died March 27, 2004 in Woodstock.
Mrs. Redeker was raised on a farm at the corner of Golf and Old Plum Grove roads in Schaumburg, where she lived until her marriage, when she and her late husband, Ernst, moved to a farm at Schaumburg and Meacham roads in Schaumburg.
Mrs. Redeker is survived by a son, Leonard (Darlene); her grandchildren, Cyndy (Dave) Weiner, Kenneth, Ginger (Stacy) Logan, Brenda (Brad) Fidder and Pam; a sister, Anna Pohlman; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernst; and her son, Howard (the late Barbara).
Interment was in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery, Schaumburg. Memorials may be made to Hearthstone Manor, 920 Seminary Ave., Woodstock IL 60098; or to Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 N. Church St., Huntley IL 60142.

Mary R. Smith
Mary R. (nee Robertshaw) Smith, 89, of Wheeling, formerly of Elk Grove Village, died March 27, 2004 at Church Creek Health Care Center, Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Smith was a charter member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Elk Grove Village, since 1957, and an active member of the Elk Grove Senior Center. She volunteered her service for many community organizations.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Donald (Sandra) of Schaumburg; a daughter, Carol (Ron) Krantz of Wheeling; four grandchildren, Bob (Cathy) Smith, Nicole (Todd) Manisco, Christine (Steven) Janis and Lisa (Jason) Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Gabe and Mia Manisco.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harold.
Funeral services were held March 30 at Kolssak Funeral Home, Wheeling. The Rev. John Walter of St. John Lutheran Church, Glenview, officiated. Interment was in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Glenview. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 777 Central Ave., Highland Park IL 60035.

David Hoppe
Funeral services for Elk Grove Village resident David Hoppe, 87, will be held at 10 a.m. April 27, 2001 at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Hoppe died April 21 while visiting in Phoenix, Ariz. He was employed 18 years with Essex Wire of Zanesville, Ohio, and retired after 23 years with Motorola in Franklin Park.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lydia (nee Miller); two daughters, Carol Franzgrote and Kathy Albertini; brothers Alex (Bernice) of Bristol, Wis., and Richard (Carole) of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren Eric (Sherri) Franzgrote, Scott (Dawn) Franzgrote, Daniel (Truus) Franzgrote, Kelly (Todd) Stevens, Maggie (Andy) Milton and Nicholas Albertini; and great-grandchildren Jacob, Levi, Seth, Scotty, Alex and Carly Franzgrote, Madeline and Angeline Milton and Matthew and Conner Stevens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sophie Weigel and David; brothers Freddy, Gottlieb and Henry; and a sister, Dorothy.

Priscilla Stanczak
A funeral Mass for Priscilla M. “Penny” Stanczak (nee Kegermann), 47, of Kildeer, formerly of Elk Grove Village, was celebrated April 20, 2001 at St. Matthew Church, Schaumburg. born March 9, 1954, in Evanston, she died April 17, 2001 in Kildeer.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; two sons, Michael Jr. and David; her mother, Gloria Johnson; brothers Timothy Kegermann, Paul Kegermann and Jeff Kegermann; sisters Katie Moskos, Elizabeth Paulley, Marie Conaway and Stephanie Kegermann; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Christopher and Timothy; her father, Charles Kegermann; a sister, Theresa Kegermann; and her stepfather, Roy Johnson.
Burial was in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 100 W. Palatine Road, Suite 150, Palatine IL 60067.

Emily T. Kuzera
Emily T. Kuzera, nee Wasik, 74, of Elmwood Park, died Jan. 16, 2003 in her home.
Mrs. Kuzera was born Oct. 9, 1928, in Chicago. She was a homemaker and the wife of Joseph T. Kuzera; mother of David (Connie), Leesa, Karen (John) Clark, Joy (Tony) Lazzara and Felicia; and grandmother of Andrew, Jacqueline, John, Anthony, Adam, Kevin, Emma and Joey.
Memorial visitation and funeral services were held Jan. 26 in Lewis Funeral Home, Elmwood Park.

Anne M. Gallivan
Anne M. Gallivan, nee Burke, 85, of Elmwood Park, formerly of Oak Park, died May 24, 2002 in Elmhurst Extended Care.
Mrs. Gallivan was a resident of Elmwood Park for 13 years and prior to that a resident of Oak Park for 25. She was born April 19, 1917, in Chicago and was a graduate of Presentation Elementary School there and Providence Girls Catholic High School, also in Chicago. She worked as an administrator for the Pitney Bowes Co., retiring in 1980.
Mrs. Gallivan was the mother of Mark (Sharon) Gallivan of Birmingham, Ala., Thomas (Mary) Gallivan of Elmhurst and Mary Therese (Charles) Schauer of Elmwood Park; grandmother of Laura (Geoffrey) Milham, Patrick Gallivan, Edward Gallivan, Charles Schauer and Kathleen Schauer; great-grandmother of Connor and Allison Milham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Gallivan, who was employed by the Oak Park Fire Department.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by the Rev. Kilbridge May 28, 2002 in St. Vincent Ferrer Church, River Forest.
Arrangements were made by Gamboney and Son Funeral Directors.
