Antonette M. Pattullo
Antonette M. Pattullo, 75, of Evanston and formerly Wilmette, died Feb. 18, 2006 at Rush North Shore Medical Center in Skokie.
Miss Pattullo was born Nov. 18, 1930, in Evanston. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and was a retired elementary school art teacher in Skokie.
Survivors include her brother, Halket Pattullo of Bradenton, Fla.; and three nephews.
Memorial services will be held on a future date.
Robert Peasand
Robert Peasand, a resident of Evanston since 1953, died Feb. 24, 2006 at the Warren Barr Nursing Center in Chicago. He was 63.
Born Nov. 25, 1942, in Pensacola, Fla., he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Peasand worked as a driver at G.D. Searle Pharmaceutical Co. for many years.
He was a member of Sec-ond Baptist Church in Evanston.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eloise Peasand.
Survivors include sister Barbara, brother Louis (Sheila), a niece, a nephew and many other relatives.
Funeral services were held March 3 at Second Baptist Church in Evanston, with interment in Sunset Memorial Lawns, Northbrook.
Arrangements were handled by House of Thompson Mortuary in Evanston.
John W. Rielley
John W. "Jack" Rielley, 86, formerly of Des Plaines and Bay Village, Ohio, died Saturday (Mar. 4, 2006) in his Glenview home.
Mr. Rielley was born June 18, 1919 in Chicago. He retired as director of sales for the National Automatic Merchandising Association in 1989. He was active in the Northfield Township Republican Organization as area chairman and precinct captain, and was also active in Glenview politics.
He was also a volunteer tax preparer at the North Shore Senior Center in Northfield.
Survivors include one daughter, Kim Armer of Davenport, Iowa; one son, Kevin of Evanston; and five grandchildren, Philip and Scott Armer of Davenport, Iowa and Zachary, Jeremy and Tess Rielley of Evanston.
His wife was the late Lee.
Services and interment were private.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Harold Roeth
Harold U. Roeth of Hazel Crest, a former resident of Flossmoor and Evanston, died Feb. 27, 2006 at Rest Haven South in South Holland. He was 88.
Born July 10, 1917, in Chicago, he attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., and received a bachelor's degree from Amherst College in Amherst, Mass., in 1939.
During World War II, he served as a U.S. Navy pilot in the Pacific Theater.
In 1946, Mr. Roeth became the founder and president of Steel Forms Inc., formerly in Chicago and now in Homewood.
He was a member of the Navy League, Olympia Fields and Flossmoor country clubs, and Carleton College and Amherst College alumni associations.
Mr. Roeth was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine K. (née Kinney); his brother, Albert Jr.; and his sister, Louise Jones.
Survivors include son Scott of Chicago, and daughters Jill (Kevin) Barry of Rock Hill, S.C., and Rebie (Gary) Brittain of Chicago.
A memorial service was held March 3 at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Evangelist in Flossmoor.

Jacquelyn Berrie
Jacquelyn Berrie of Chicago, a native and former resident of Evanston, died April 17, 2001 at her home. She was 66.
Born March 29, 1935, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Evanston.
She was preceded in death by a son, Walter S. Krieman.
Survivors include daughter Deborah L. Krieman of Des Moines, Iowa; son Steven W. (Connie) Krieman of Grimes, Iowa; one grandchild; sister Joanne (Fred) McGowan of Wheeling; brother Ron (MaryLou) Berrie of Wheeling; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held April 21 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
Barbara Borland
Barbara (nee Duffus) Borland, a resident of Evanston for 30 years, died April 14, 2001 at Alden Shore Nursing Home in Evanston. She was 57.
Born April 6, 1944, in Baltimore, she received a bachelor’s degree in English.
Mrs. Borland was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Kirk; daughter Robin Borland of Chicago; her father, Richard Duffus; brother Richard Duffas Jr.; and sister Joanne Duffus.
Funeral services were held April 19 in the Alice Millar Chapel at Northwestern University in Evanston. Interment was private.

Joseph ‘Allen’ Carr
Joseph “Allen” Carr, a resident of Evanston for 30 years, died April 16, 2001 at his home. He was 75.
Born Nov. 22, 1925, in Houston, he attended Rice University, Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University, the Illinois University of Technology and the Institute of Design - where he was the recipient of a merit scholarship and class president.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1944-46 with combat service in the Rhine and Central Europe campaigns, where he received the Purple Heart.
After a brief career in advertising graphics, Mr. Carr moved to book design for Follett Publishing Co., McDougal Littell & Co. and Scott Foresman & Co., specializing in producing children’s books.
He was an active member of the North Suburban Genealogical Society, an interest brought on by his relationship to his ancestor, Dabney Carr, brother-in-law to Thomas Jefferson. He also was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and AAUG.
He was a member of St. Athanasius Roman Catholic Church in Evanston for 29 years.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jeanne Heitkamp; daughters Vickie (Paul) Duax of Davis, Calif., Amy (Knox) McCormac of Wilmette and Janet Carr of Chicago; four grandchildren; and brother John O. of Houston.
Funeral services were held April 20 at St. Athanasius Church in Evanston. Interment was private in Menominee, Ill.
Bennie Coker
Bennie Coker, a longtime resident of Evanston, died March 25, 2001. He was 66.
He was born Dec. 21, 1934, in Chicago.
Mr. Coker was employed in the construction industry for more than 37 years. He filled many positions, including foreman and supervisor for several companies.
He was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Evanston, where he sang in the Norwood Inspirational Choir.
Survivors include his wife of over 44 years, Beverly; daughters Linda D. and Sharon M., both of Evanston; sons Anthony (Christine) of Calumet Park, Michael of Pinebrook, Fla., Andre (Carmelia) of Matteson; five grandchildren; sisters Bonnie Ward of Lithonia, Ga., Linda Holmes, Deloris (Robert) Clark of Chicago and Margaret Jones of Kansas City, Mo.; brother Lacy (Marcia) of Kansas City, Mo., and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held March 29 at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Evanston, with interment in Sunset Memorial Lawns, Northbrook.
Catherine Fair
A memorial service is scheduled for Catherine E.R. (nee Moore) Fair of Elgin, a former longtime resident of Evanston, at 2 p.m. April 21 at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect.
She died April 16, 2001 in Palatine. She was 63.
Born Feb. 21, 1938, in Charlotte, N.C., she worked as a child caregiver.
Survivors include daughter Sharon Ebert; son Joe Moore; one grandchild, sisters Frances, Thelma, Sally and Janie; and brothers Simon and John.
William F. Hutson
William F. Hutson, M.D., 87, the retired chairman of the Department of Radiology at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, died on April 22, 2001.
Dr. Hutson was born to Grace Truman Whitlock Hutson and the Rev. Andrew Carter Hutson on Nov. 30, 1913, in East Tennessee.
After his birth, he and his mother traveled by train, young William in a picnic basket, to join his father, a minister/missionary, who was working for the Kentucky Baptist Home Mission Board establishing new churches in eastern Kentucky.
Many of the boy’s early years were spent in Jackson, Ky., where his mother died at an early age. After his mother’s death, he spent most summers with relatives until his father remarried.
Dr. Hutson graduated high school in Winchester, Ky. Later, the family moved to Knoxville, Tenn. There Dr. Hutson met and married Anna Katherine Leopold, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, in 1941.
After graduating from the University of Tennessee with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in bacteriology, he worked for the Tennessee Public Health Department doing malarial surveys in the Tennessee River Valley.
Seeking to further his education, he attended and graduated from the University of North Carolina and Northwestern University medical schools.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy and had several postings including sea duty in the Pacific on a four stack destroyer APD-1/DD-74. During the Korean Conflict, he was stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital.
After World War II, he completed a residency in radiology at Evanston Hospital. Dr. Hutson then joined the staff at Swedish Covenant Hospital, where he served as the chairman of the Department of Radiology until his retirement in 1980.
He treated patients from two private offices, one in the Carlson Building in Evanston, and the other in the Old Orchard Professional Building in Skokie.
Dr. Hutson was active in many professional organizations. He also was interested in community activitie.
He had been a Northbrook resident since 1960.
Dr. Hutson had several interests including old cars, gardening and camping. He was also an avid hiker and photographer.
In addition to his son, Robert, of Northbrook, he is survived by his brother, Dr. Charles Hutson of Knoxville, Tenn.; and his sister, Sarah Hutson Reynolds, of Knoxville, Tenn.
A funeral and reception will be held at 2 p.m. today, April 26, at Northbrook Covenant Church, 2737 Techny Road. Interment will be at Lynnhurst Cemetery in Knoxville.
