Age 87. Passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at Glenwood Care Cener. born in Chicago on December 14, 1915 and a Joliet resident since 1968. She graduated from Lindbloom High School and Englewood Business College in Chicago. A former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Cantigny Post #367, and the Ladies of the Elks.
Loving mother of Donna (late LeRoy) Krueger of Joliet, Carol Jean Hogdgon of California and Carl J. (Connie) Brummel Jr. of Joliet; beloved grandmother of Lee (Annette) Krueger Jr., Lisa Ordonez, Linda (Larry) Zygmunt, Kirk (Dawn) Krueger, Ronnie (Carolee) Potchebski, Cathy Brummel, Chrissy (Rich) Brower and Carl J. Brummell III; dear great grandmother of 12; proud great great grandmother of two; and a sister, June Boeker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Brummel (1990); and a sister, Bernice Davis.
Funeral Services for Gertrude A. Brummel will be Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 10 AM at the funeral home, Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Memorials in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated. Visitation Friday 2 to 7 PM at:

John W. "Jack" Gosselin
Age 80. Monday, December 30, 2002 at his home in Burr Ridge, IL. born in Harnden, CT on December 9, 1922. A resident of Joliet from 1950 until 1989 but still maintained his office in Joliet. Graduate of Yale University in 1945. A World War II U.S. Navy veteran. Retired in 1982 as President of Phoenix Manufacturing Co. Past Director of First Midwest Bank, Citizens National Bank,Waukegan, National Bank of North Chicago and Mid-West National Bank of Lake Forest. Past Board Member of Lewis University, Joliet Boys Club, College of St. Francis and the Advisory Board St. Joseph Hospital. Recipient of numerous awards including, UNICO 1968 Man of the Year and 2000-2001 Frank J. Turk Sr. Spirit of Rotary Award.
Survived by his loving wife, Carol Hall Gosselin of Burr Ridge. Six children, Mary Lee (Don) Beauregard of Denver, CO, Carol (Bill) Claypool of Debon, PA, James (Julie) Gosselin of Naperville, Edward (Debbie) Gosselin of Annapolis, MD, Robert (Joannie) Hall of Haverford, PA and Liz (Joe) Wieczorek; 14 grandchildren. Two sisters, Roselie (Victor) King of New Caanan, CT and Marjorie (Gerald) Fitzgerald of Barrington Hills, IL.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy (nee Jackson) Gosselin (1974); parents, Edward and Florilla (nee Webb) Gosselin; and two brothers, James W. and Edward W. Gosselin.
All relatives and friends are invited to meet Friday, January 3, 2003 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Ave., Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Gene Anne "Annie" Hathaway
Age 86, of Manhattan, died Friday, December 27, 2002 at Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet. She was born in Decatur, Illinois in 1916 to Merle and Myrtle (Munson) Constant.
Survived by a son, William (Warrine) Hathaway of Alabama; two granddaughters, Carole Jean Hathaway of Crest Hill and Georganna Hathaway of Naperville; a grandson, Edward Hathaway of Odel, Illinois; and two great grandchildren, Clinton and Annie Bloodworth of Joliet. Also survived by her very good friend, Rosie Chellios of Manhattan; and her cat, "Tootie".
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Robert Hathaway; and two brothers, Robert V. Constant and Kenneth D. Constant.
Gene Anne lived and worked in Manhattan for over 60 years. She and her husband were involved in Bee-Keeping for many years and were also the former owners of Hathaway Ice Cream Shop in Manhattan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 2, 2003 from 12:30 PM until time of Memorial Service at 1 PM at the Forsythe Funeral Chapel, 320 Eastern Ave., Manhattan with Rev. Joane Seaton officiating. Interment Manhattan Center Cemetery.

Robert R. Johnstone "Bob"
Age 73. Passed away Monday, December 30, 2002 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. born in Joliet November 9, 1929 and a lifetime resident. Graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1947; he received his Bachelors Degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering. A United States Army Veteran, he served during the Korean Conflict. Retired from Aurora Pump Sales in 1989, currently employed with Apex Pump of Geneva, IL. Member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond (Seniors Club), American Legion Band (Past President), he was a lifelong musician. Also a member of VFW Cantigny Post #367 (Bingo Chairman), American Legion Post #1080, Joliet Elks Lodge #296 and the Senior Spirit of Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Beloved husband of 46 years to Jeanne (nee Nelson); loving father of Kathryn (Robert) Zupancic, Karen (David) Turk and Kimberly (David) Zembruski; proud Papa of Amy and Benjamin Turk; Robert J. Zupancic; Kayla, Jordyn and McKenna Zembruski; brother of James (June) Johnstone and Jean (Walter) Julian; fond brother-in-law of Dr. William and Shirley Smith; dear cousin of Bernard and Marilyn Amato; Bill and Elaine Krieger. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Johnstone; niece, Carole Johnstone Phillips.

Late of Wilmington passed away Saturday, December 28, 2002 at Rosewood Care Center in Joliet, IL.
Born August 19, 1906 in Joliet to the late Peter and Anna (Anderson) Lindstrom. Member of Grace Lutheran Church in Wilmington, where she was involved with numerous church organizations and The Wilmington Garden Club. Former employee of the Army Corp of Engineer's, from where she retired from in 1968.
Survivors include four nieces, Joyce Lindstrom of Plainfield, IL, Anita (Terry) Max-Atchison of Hersher, IL, Jackie (Bob) Brown of Iowa and Sueellen (Don) Cordano of Joliet, IL; five nephews, Carl (Judy) Lindstrom of Flossmoor, IL, Charles (Sandy) Lindstrom of Indiana, Donald Lindstrum of Joliet, IL, Lane (Shelly) Lindstrom of Pontiac, IL and Carl E. Max of New Mexico; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lindstrom of Joliet, IL and Evelyn Lindstrom of Pontiac, IL. Also numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded by her parents; first husband, Donald Morrison (1939) and Lou Max in 2000. Four brothers, Carl, Donald, LaVerne and Iner Lindstrom. Also a sister, Bernice.
Visitation will be held on Frida, Jan 3, 2003 from 9 AM until time of Funeral Service 11 AM at The Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington with Rev. Kim Peterson officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington, IL. Memorials to the Grace Lutheran Church of Wilmington appreciated.

Marlene A. McMillin
Went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 29, 2002 at the age of 66.
Dearest wife of Gordon H. McMillin. Loving mother of William E. McMillin and the fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Born on January 17, 1936 in Chicago, IL to the late William and Emma (nee Hockstad) Cronaller. Marlene was then a longtime resident of the Joliet and Channahon area. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Channahon, a member of the Joliet Deaf Senior Citizens, a member of the South Town Deaf Club of Chicago and the National Fraternal Society of the Deaf.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Sun Health Dialysis and the Rosewood Care Center in Joliet for their compassionate care shown to Marlene during her time of need.
Funeral Services will be held at The Maple Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 11 AM with Pastor Gavin Brandt officiating. Interment Willard Grove Cemetery in Channahon. Visitation will be Thursday, January 2, 2003 from 4 to 8 PM.

Andrew P. Midlock
Of Joliet, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Tuesday, December 31, 2002. Age 81 years.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty; four sons, Stephen (Jo Ann) of Joliet, Andrew Jr (Nancy) of Shorewood, Bruce (Susan) and Mark Midlock both of Joliet; a daughter, Ellen (Stephen) Griparis of Joliet; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother, Aloysius (Barbara) Midlock of Joliet. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
Born in Joliet and was a life long resident. Retired in 1987 from Printing Craftsmen as a Lithographer after 25 years of service.
Funeral Services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd, Thursday, January 2nd at 10:30 AM to the Cathedral of St. Raymond at 11 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. Visitation Thursday, 9 AM until 10:30 AM.

Age 63. At rest Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at Hines VA Hospital following a courageous battle with a lingering illness. born in Joliet and a lifelong resident. A retired painter with the Painters Union Local #33. A United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
Survived by his loving wife and best friend, Leanne (nee Wilhelmi) Minnick and her son, Christopher (fiancee, Bobbie) Allison both of Joliet; his son, Robert (Sidney) Minnick of Lockport; his daughter, Kathy (Dave) Roseen of Manhattan; three grandsons, Anthony Minnick, Matthew and Jeremy Roseen; step-granddaughter, Kelsey Allison; his siblings, Jackie (Ed) Lehner, Glenn (Tess), Ken (Helen), John (Terry), Calvin (Madge), Roy (Nancy), Judy (Ron) Fowler, Debbie (Mike) Buske and Denise Johnson. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Geri (nee Wren) Minnick (1991); parents, John and Helen (nee Troutman) Minnick; two nieces, Sherri and Renee.
Funeral services for Robert L. Minnick will be Thursday, January 2, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Greta McDonald officiating. Cremation rites will follow. Age 83. Saturday, December 28, 2002 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
Survived by a daughter, Sharon (Joseph) Shulk; grandsons, Rick (Barb) and Joseph (Judy) Shulk; great grandchildren, Joshua, Megan and Kaitlin Shulk, Matthew and Michael Shulk. Dear friends, Sandy and George Gandy and family. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Ellsworth Vadeboncoeur; second husband, Charles Noble; parents, Albert and Marie (Kaufman) Krull; and sisters, Elsie and Marie.
Born in Chicago, IL, a Joliet resident for many years. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
