Olive R. Monk
Age 86. Passed away Thursday, January 1, 2004 at her late residence. Formerly of Regency Ridge on Midland Avenue. born in New York, she came to Joliet in 1947 and was a life long area resident. During World War II, she was employed at Albany Hospital in New York as an LPN. Member of First Presbyterian Church. Olive was a kind and generous person and she will be greatly missed by her family and many dear friends.
Survived by her son, Peter Lamberson of Joliet; two daughters, Linda Lamberson of Denver, CO and Lois (Richard) Vrieze of Plainfield; five grandchildren, Sarah, Susan and Scott Lamberson, Carrie and Erin Vrieze; and her daughter-in-law, Trish Lamberson of Macomb.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil Monk; and her parents, William and Olivia (nee VanCuren) Roosevelt.
Cremation Rites will be accorded and private family services will be held. Memorials in her memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. NO VISITATION. Arrangements by:

Leonard "Lenny" Mueller
Age 20, died suddenly Thursday, January 1, 2004 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident. He was born on September 5, 1983 in Naperville, IL.
Survived by his mother: Rhonda (Dave) Dykeman of Plainfield, IL; his father Steve Mueller of Naperville, IL. His brother Kenneth Mueller of Plainfield, IL, his sister: Suzanne (Jeffrey) Pacholski of Lockport, IL. His maternal grandmother Clara (the late Kenneth) Shaver of Plainfield, IL and his paternal grandparents: LaVerne "Bud" and Nancy Mueller of Naperville, IL. His nieces Taylor and Chelsea Pacholski and Jaden Mueller, his nephew Daniel Pacholski. And numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lenny enjoyed playing sports, listening to music and playing his guitar.

Age 74, of Pocahontas, AR and formerly of the Chicagoland area, departed this life on Friday, December 12, 2003.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Matthew Pluth; one daughter, Teresa Harmon; one grandson, Donald Harmon Jr; and one brother, Albert Messenger.
Survivors include one son, James Lavene of Midland, NC; three daughters, Rene Dickson and Sherri Boyce of Pocahontas, AR., and Rhonda Richter of Channahon, IL; one brother, Arthur Messenger; one sister, Aletha D'Brule; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's of Channahon, IL.

Age 69, passed away Friday, January 2, 2004 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the owner of Mikey's Arts and Crafts.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Ray, her children, Charles, Raymond Jr. (Karen), Michaline, and Christine, her grandchildren, Raymond, Jon, and Michael, and her sisters, Sophie Kochaney and Bernice Lenkowski.

Mary was born in Rockdale and resided in Joliet most of her lifetime. Member K.S.K.J. Loving mom, grandma and great grandma. Mary was always a gracious hostess, known for her great cooking and famous Potica.

Eddie L. Carver
Age 65 of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2004 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. born January 8, 1938 in Blount County, TN, he was a son of the late John and Cora Bryant-Carver.
Eddie was retired from Caterpillar International after 30 years of service as a machinist engineer, member of the South Wilmington Sportsman Club, former Bobcat Football coach and worked the "Chain Gang" at Wilmington High School football games. He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his loving wife Mary (Starner), one son John and two daughters: Sharon (Donald) Smith and Tiffany Carver, all of Wilmington. Two brothers: Jim (Sandra) and Lonnie Carver of Tennessee, one sister Jonnie (Andrew) Morton of Wilmington, his mother and father-in-law Everett and Mildred Starner of Nortonville, and brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill and Paul.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2004 from 4-8 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington. Funeral services will then follow on Tuesday, January 6 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Zbinden officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
