Devoted grandfather of Patsy, Richard Roy and Stephanie Reiter, dearest great-grandfather of Jennifer Johnson, Jackie Keeling and Keith Chybicki. Roscoe Thompson
Age 76, of Braidwood, IL, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2001 at the Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL. born March 1, 1924 in Winslow, IN to the late Alfred Carl and Ola Alice (Robling) Thompson.
Roscoe was employed as a welder at Caterpillar, Inc. in Joliet, IL for approximately 30 years. He retired in 1984. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Battle Of The Bulge. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and gardening.
Survived by his wife, Bettye Jane (Woodward), whom he married June 3, 1950 in Princeton, IN; three daughter, Janice (David) Hale of Braidwood, IL, Brenda (Clarence) Heber of Bonfield, IL and Linda Thompson at home; four grandchildren, David Alan Hale, Patrick Aron Hale, Heather (Donald) Pickard, and Andrea Trayler; two great grandchildren, Colten and Connor Pickard; one brother, Robert Carl (Gayle) Thompson of Channahon, IL; four sisters, Sarah (Kenneth) Whitman of Joliet, IL, Elva Nixon of Frisco, IN, Mary (Bud) Houchins of Oakland City, IN, and Jean (Bob) Benjamin of Evansville, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by five brothers, George, James, Leo, and Ernest Thompson, and an infant brother; and one sister, Doris Norrington.
Funeral services will be held at he R. W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., Braidwood Chapel, Wednesday, January 10, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. George Hendricks officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Visitation Tuesday, January 9, from 5-8 p.m. Memorials in his name to the Braidwood Emergency Squad would be appreciated.

Billy Travillion
Age 69, died Saturday, January 6, 2001, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. born in Bude, MS, he has resided in Joliet for 56 years, retiring from Thomas Steel in 1990. Preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sadie Pinnick. He is survived by his daughter, Annette Sutton of Canton, MS, and three grandchidren; a sister, Marlyn McFarland; and his Aunt, Patsy Reeves, both of Joliet; also a dear friend, John McFarland. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services Wednesday, 8:00 p.m. at All Nations C.O.G.I.C., Bishop Robert R. Sanders, officiating. Visitation Wednesday, 2-5 p.m. at Range Funeral Home and 7-8 p.m. at the Church. Interment Thursday 10 a.m. at Elmhurst Cemetery.

Age 82, of Plainfield, Illinois, died Monday, January 8, 2001 at her home. She was born October 15, 1918 in Chicago, IL.
She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Romeoville, IL. She was employed at the Wm. Wrigley Factory.
She is survived by her children: Susan (Jerry) Centner of Oak Forest, IL, Butch (Tess) Zimecki of Plainfield, IL, Kathleen (Terry) Campbell of Kansas City, MO, Chuck (Margie) Mitchell of Barrington, IL, Carol (John) Mares of Sandwich, IL, Arthur Zimecki of Lemont, IL, and seven grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Thomas Mitchell and her second husband, Arthur Anthony Zimecki.
Visitation Wednesday, January 10, from 4-8 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 309 Joliet Road (corner of Rts 30 & 59) Plainfield, IL. Mary Jane Grant
(nee Comerford)
Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2004 at home with her family by her side. Age 77.
Survived by her loving husband of 56 years George "Ed" Grant, two daughters Cheryl (Frank) Haglund and Loka (Steve Reyes) Grant and a son Edwin Grant. Five grandchildren Greg (Lisa) and Mark (Suzi) Haglund, Doug, Rory and Cristina Camacho. Sister-in-law Alice "Rollie" Comerford. A special niece Darcy (Pete) Meininger. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents Leo P. and Emma M. (nee Ranft) Comerford and a brother John Comerford.
A special thank you to Joliet Area Community Hospice for their compassion and support during this difficult time.
Per her wishes cremations rites were accorded. Memorial services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Joliet Area Community Hospice. Robert Edward Hickey
Age 80, of Hinsdale died peacefully Friday, January 2, 2004 at Hinsdale Hospital.
Mr. Hickey was born and raised in Joliet and lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and New Cannan, Connecticut during his business career with Olin Corporation before moving to Hinsdale.
Mr. Hickey was preceded in death by his brothers William and James.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, nee Stevens; his sons Scott (Jean) of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Brian (Karin) of Hinsdale and his daughter Sara (Robert) of Roanoke, Virginia; his grandchildren Michael Beedie, Katherine Beedie, Max Hickey, Blair Hickey, Lissa Hickey, and Jack Hickey, and his brother John of Carol Stream.
Mr. Hickey graduated from Northwestern University in 1945 and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He served in World War II under George Patton.
A memorial service was held on Monday, January 5 at St. Isaac Jogues Church, Hinsdale at 1:00 p.m. Interment is private. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity. Arrangements by:
