Survived by one daughter Shelbee (John) Rivard of Frankfort; one son Larry (Sandra) of South Wayne, Wisconsin; one sister Lorraine (Lee) Ewers of Allons, Tennessee; grandfather of eight; great-grandfather of three; great-great grandfather of one.
He owned and operated a farm in Green Garden Township. Member of the Will County Farm Bureau.
Visitation will be Sunday 2:00p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Prayer service Sunday 7:30 p.m. Reverend Richard Lewis of St. Peters United Church of Christ officiating. Internment private. Family requests memorials to the Joliet Hospice, Masonic Shriners, or United Cerebral Palsy.

Alice Henry
Formerly of Joliet, passed away in Waterloo, Iowa, Tuesday, January 16, 2001. Age 81 years.
Survived by a son, James L. Henry, Jr. of Sherman, TX; a daughter Gail (Robert) Ledbetter of Evansdale, IA; three grandchildren Shawn and Laura Henry and Dina Gonzales.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James L. Henry, Sr. (1981); a brother Harry Tatro and a sister Mary Huckstep.
Born January 31, 1919 in Joliet, she was a lifelong resident until moving to Iowa in 1999. Charter member of the Woman's Auxiliary of Ingalls Park Athletic Club. Private interment will be held at the Woodlawn Memorial Park. Services conducted by:

Rita R. Hicks nee Conery
Age 66, late of Romeoville, Thursday, January 18, 2001 at her late residence.
Born in Michigan, living in Romeoville since 1968. Employed by the Catholic Diocese of Joliet for 24 years, retiring in 2000. Member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Romeoville CCW. Rita enjoyed ceramics for several years.
Preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ruby (King) Conery; and two brothers, Albert and Morris Conery.
Survived by her husband, Donald; her children, Denise (David) Richards of Romeoville and Dennis (Laurie) of Lockport; three grandchildren, Megan, Erin and Jason; two brothers, James (Peg) Conery of Wisconsin and Mike (Kay) Conery of Michigan; and a sister, Beverly (Bob) Chartier of Michigan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Hospice or St. Andrew's Building Fund would be appreciated.

Mr. Robert "Bob" Johnson
Age 66, peacefully left our world on January 20, 2001 at the Morris Hospital to live with God after courageously fighting liver cancer. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, "Pa", brother, and friend. Bob blessed and enriched the many lives he touched throughout his life.
A service, celebrating his life, will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church, Morris, with Reverend James F. Reents officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Peace Lutheran Church from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22.
Bob was born July 21, 1934 in Newark, IL. He graduated from Newark High School in 1952. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Bob has been a resident of Morris since 1957 and was employed as a petroleum salesman with Farm Service from 37 years. Upon retiring, Bob worked for Exchange Bank and most recently, for the Grundy County Sheriff's Department. He served on the Morris Township Board. He was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church and Morris Lions Club. After his liver transplant in 1998, he supported the Regional Organ Bank of Illinois (R.O.B.I.)
Family and friends were very important to Bob. Surviving are his wife, Ruth; his daughters, Cindy (John) Purdue of LaCrescent, MN, Nancy (Chuck) Zalesiak of Richmond, VA; his stepson, Tim (Roxy) Seifert of Auburn, IL; stepson-in-law, Rick Carlson of Morris, one brother, Jerald (Joan Christensen) Johnson; 12 grandchildren, Jason, Eric, Chris, and Jacque Purdue, Chad and Mark Zalesiak, Lauren and Tyler Ferguson, Jorden and Weston Seifert, Jake and Drew Carlson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister-in-laws. Bob will also be missed by his wonderful friends, many of whom he considered to be "family".
Preceded him in death were his parents, Milo and Violia Johnson; first wife, Marilyn (Peterson) Johnson and his treasured stepdaughter, Traci (Seifert) Carlson.
We are thankful to the dedication of Dr. Richard M. Rotnicki (Morris) and Dr. Alfred Baker (Chicago) over these last few years. A very heartfelt thanks to the extraordinary dedicated and compassionate staff, who cared for him at Morris Hospital.

Richard J. Larson Sr.
Age 77, died Dec. 10, 2000, in Catholic Medical Center, Manchester.
Born in Joliet, IL. on Feb. 5, 1923, he was the son of Richard and Martha (Swanstrom) Larson. He lived in Bedford since 1983.
During World War II, he served in the Merchant Marine.
Before retiring, Mr. Larson served 13 years as president of Syracuse China of Canada. He also worked for Franciscan Dinnerware and Hall China Co. After retiring, he worked part time as a driver for Southern New Hampshire Services and NVI Co. Mr. Larson served as treasurer for the town of Bedford and the Bedford School Board.
He was a member of Bedford Presbyterian Church and the choir.
Mr. Larson was a member of Post 8401, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a past member of the Bedford Rotary.
Family members include his wife of 43 years, Virginia (Rhodes) Larson; a son, Richard J. Larson Jr. of Walpole; two daughters, Laura Ann Wiggin of New Boston, and Karen Lynn Novak of Mason, Ohio; five grandchildren; a brother, Glen Larson of Alameda, CA.; a sister, Doris Palm of Turlock, CA.; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Age 43, of South Wilmington, IL, passed away suddenly Thursday, January 18, 2001 at the Morris Hospital in Morris, IL. born April 3, 1957 in Joliet, IL to the late Barney and Emma (Munson) Hall. Employed at the Amoco Food Shop in South Wilmington, IL. Formerly employed at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington, IL and for Ariston Home Health in Joliet, IL.
Survived by loving husband, Stanley D. Light, Sr.; two sons, Walter (Dana) and Stanley Jr. (Jennifer) both of South Wilmington; two daughter, Dawn (Vernon) Vaughan and Crystal (Stewart) Miles both of South Wilmington; eight granddaughters and three grandsons; five brothers, Martin Hall and Dave Hall, both of Joliet, Johnnie (Debbie) Hall of Wilmington, James Hall of Plainfield and Calvin (Becky) Hall of Romeoville; seven sisters, Maxine (Richard) Rohats, Caroline Hedrick, Emogene Hauge, Jessie Cervantes, Anna (Ray) Stark, all of Joliet, Zenovia (Steve) Stillwell of Bourbonnias and Geneva George of Davis, OK; mother-in-law, Ella Light; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Carson and Bertha Mae Hall; and two brothers, Dominic and George Hall.
A visitation will be held at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., South Wilmington Chapel, Monday, January 22, from 5-8 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded. Interment Thursday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.

Kathryn C. (Kay) Loucks
Age 92, formerly of Manhattan, died Friday, January 19, 2001 at Tempe, AZ.
Survived by her daughter, Judy (Victor) Appelt of Chandler, AZ; and son Alan (Gerry) Loucks of Plainfield. Two granddaughters, Melissa (Doug) Hanson of Plainfield and Sheryl Appelt of Chandler, AZ. One grandson, Thomas Appelt of Tempe, AZ. One great granddaughter, Samantha Hanson of Plainfield and one great grandson, Mathew Stone of Chandler, AZ. Four sisters, Loretta Weatherford and Dorothy Krol, both of Joliet, and Florence Keeley and Jean (Harald) Pardue of Chesapeake, VA. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna (Geike) Keeley; one grandson Alan Loucks, Jr., and three brothers and one sister.

Samuel C. Lucenta "Sam"
Age 75. Passed away January 18, 2001 at Silver Cross Hospital. Sam was a lifelong resident of Joliet.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Rosa Lucenta; an infant son Charles Lucenta; father-in-law and mother-in-law Anthony and Frances Tapella; brothers John Sr. and Pat Lucenta.
Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Rita (Tapella); five children, Dominic Lucenta, Jo Ann (Dan) Miller, Annette (Robert fiancee) Lucenta, Cynthia (Daniel) Krzysciak, Robert Lucenta; a sister Mary (Cliff) Scholp; sisters-in-law Rose Marie Sadenwater, Margaret Lucenta and Marguerite Lucenta; five grandchildren Damon and Lindsey Lucenta, Kyle, Mark, and Julie Miller; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Sam was a veteran serving in the Air Force as Second Lieutenant. He was a member of American Legion Post 1080, active in Easter Seals, and the Senior Bowling League at Town and Country Lanes.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 22, 2001 from the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, 1500 Black Rd. at 8:45 to the Church of St. Anthony for mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 2001, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Matthew Howard McCoy
Age 13, died Friday, January 19, 2001 at St. Mary Hospital after a lifelong illness. He was born August 8, 1987 in Joliet, Illinois to Barry and Lori McCoy.
Also survived by his paternal grandfather, Archibold McCoy of Joliet, IL and maternal grandmother, Ingrid Brownfield of Rochester. Siblings, Kate and Drew McCoy, both at home.
Matthew and his family moved to Minnesota in 1995 and went to Kellogg Middle School, he was in the sixth grade. He was a member of Rochester Assembly of God. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, model building, and cooking.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Assembly of God with Rev. Randy Stoecker. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Assembly of God Church.
Marilyn T. Relyea (nee Plitt)
Age 73 of Joliet, Illinois, left this world to meet the Lord in heaven, on January 19, 2001, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center with all her family by her side.
She was a lifelong resident of Joliet, Illinois. She worked at Pershing School as the best Lunchroom Grandma and will be missed by all the staff and children.
She was the love of my life, wife and best friend. She was the greatest mother that ten children could ever love and know. The world's best grandmother of 27 grandchildren. And special sister to her sisters and brother.
