William Thomas Robinson
Passed away Monday, January 15, 2001 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA. He was born on April 25, 1932 in Wisner, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Fannie (Holmes) Robinson.
He moved to Joliet in the early sixties and become a Construction Laborer for P.T. Ferro and other companies. In 1972 he became a Grounds Keeper for Lewis University. He retired from Lewis University in April, 2000. His remaining months were spent exploring his love of music and visiting with friends and family.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Doris; six sons and step-sons, Gaye Robinson, Monroe, LA, Hillery D. and Kevin T. Robinson, Alexandria, LA, Lee Kincy, South Bend, IN, George Kincy, Charles Gross, Joliet, IL; and 5 daughters and step-daughters, Linda Gross, Connissa Gross and Tomeka (Jonathan) Elmore, Joliet, IL, Michelle and Sheila Robinson, Alexandria, LA; one brother, H.P. Robinson, Shreveport, LA; two sisters, Wanda (Henry) Bynum, Monroe, LA; and Esterr (Melvin, Sr.) Boykin, Joliet, IL; 25 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services for William T. Robinson are: Monday, January 22, 2001. Wake 2-4 PM at Minor Funeral Home, and 6-7 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church, Rev. Richard House officiating. Age 80 years. died Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. born in Centerville, Iowa, she has resided in Joliet for 50 years. Formerly employed at the Arsenal, Sickels, retiring from Sunnyhill Nursing Home.
Preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her devoted son, Ronald (Iria) Wright of Country Club Hills, four grandchildren, Ronald (Tamria) Wright of Hazel Crest, Lynette Bowman of Knoxville, TN, Angela Halbert of Aurora and Tamera Murray of Country Club Hills. Two great grandchildren, Isaih and Lauren Bowman. A devoted companion, Concord Turner. Her nephew, James (Janet) Downing. Two great nephews, James and Kevin Downing.

Age 88, of Lemont, January 20, 2001. born in Poland, residing in Lemont for the past 50 years. Employed by C.P.C. International, Argo, for 27 years, retiring in 1977.
Preceded in death by his wife, Valentine (nee Smolen); and a son, Chester Gapa.
Survived by a son, Mitchell (Rosemary) Gapa of Mokena; three daughters, Emily (Fenton) Mereness of Campbell, CA, Helen Slussar of Hutsonville, IL, and Clare (Ted) Ludas of Lockport; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Age 91. Friday, January 19, 2001 at Salem Village Nursing Home. Late of Lockport.
Survived by his loving wife Alta (Bailey); daughter Carol (James) Homerding; two sons, Norman (Marilyn) and Allen (Mary Ann) Gotts. Eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Margaret (Titus) Gotts. One brother Arlington and one sister Gladys.
Retired from Texaco Oil after many years of service.

Age 92, formerly of Manhattan, died Friday, January 19, 2001 at Tempe, AZ.
Survived by her daughter, Judy (Victor) Appelt of Chandler, AZ; and son Alan (Gerry) Loucks of Plainfield. Two granddaughters, Melissa (Doug) Hanson of Plainfield and Sheryl Appelt of Chandler, AZ. One grandson, Thomas Appelt of Tempe, AZ. One great granddaughter, Samantha Hanson of Plainfield and one great grandson, Mathew Stone of Chandler, AZ. Four sisters, Loretta Weatherford and Dorothy Krol, both of Joliet, and Florence Keeley and Jean (Harald) Pardue of Chesapeake, VA. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna (Geike) Keeley; her husband, Ora Loucks, one grandson Alan Loucks, Jr., and three brothers and one sister.

Age 83. Passed away Saturday, January 20, 2001 at St. Patrick residence in Naperville. born February 23, 1917 in Rosecrans, IL and a lifetime Joliet resident. She was an avid bowler who also enjoyed playing bingo. Stasia was employed at the former Zayre Department store and looked forward to meeting the ladies group from Zayre's for luncheons. Member of the CCW of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.

Anna Svazich (nee Appleton)
Age 88, formerly of Joliet, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2001 at Franciscan Care Center. She was born on December 10, 1912 in Joliet, Illinois the daughter of the late Martin and Barbara (Rehorich) Macak. On October 25, 1941, she married Rudolph Svazich in Joliet at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church. She was currently a member of St. Pius X Church in Appleton, and was a member of the St. Fracis De Sales Sodality of the KSKJ.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna (James) Hebert and their children, Denise (William) Dehart all of Appleton, David (Deanna) Hebert of Neenah, Daniel (Elizabeth) Hebert of Chesapeake, VA, and Richard (Amy) Hebert of Clifton, VA; her daughter, Marlene (Dennis) Mellinger and their children, Patricia (Michael) Smith, Maria (Andrew) Fischer, and Dennis (Carolyn) Mellinger all of Joliet, IL; many loving great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sisters, Mary Kozar, and Catherine Glavan; two brothers, Martin and John Macak; and a great grandchild Matthew Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at 12:00 noon at St. Anne Catholic Church on Ludwig Street in Crest Hill, IL. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Franciscan Care Center for all of their loving care for Anna.

Age 70. Suddenly Sunday, January 19, 2003. born in Des Moines, IA, he was raised in Iowa City, IA and a resident of Joliet the past 48 years. Retired from Ford Motor Company following 40 years of service. A United States Army veteran of the Korean War. Life member of Belmont and Ingalls Park A. C. Past President of Belmont Little League Association. Member of New Lenox VFW. An avid hunter and fisherman.
Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Norene (nee Murphy) Brandt of Joliet; five children, Cheryl (Gene) Williams and Colleen Allison both of Joliet, Susan Altiery of Missouri, James (Diana) Brandt of Joliet and Jeffrey (Annette) Brandt of Braidwood; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Frances (John) Hedges of Missouri. Numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
