Genevieve Evelyn Presley
Age 86, followed the light into the Kingdom of Heaven on January 21, while at Sunny Hill Skilled Rehab. Center, surrounded by her family.
Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Richard) Frojd; her granddaughter, Jeannene Elaine (James) Anderson; her grandson, Jeffrey Alan Frojd; her great-granddaughter Julia Elaine Anderson; her sister, Marjorie Mason; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Presley; her mother, Evelyn Hall; one sister, Betty Elaine Oehmichen; and brothers, David and Robert (Jean) Cook.
Genevieve worked as a cosmetician at Goldblatts for years, and also at Al Baskins clothing store until her retirement. Genevieve will be remembered by everyone she knew and loved and will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Cremation rites were accorded. Genevieve's family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, at Westwood Memorial Chapel, 3201 W. Jefferson St. from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Final resting place will be in Keokuk, IA, where other family members are buried.

Survived by her beloved husband of 52 years Frank Raspolich, loving mother of Barbara (fiance Jim Kren) Chesko, David (Susan) Raspolich and Diane (Tim) Crickman; Dearest grandmother of Jason (Gabriele) Chesko, Janet (fiance Mark Blackburn), Laura Chesko, Justin, Rachel Crickman, Eric, Brian and Lisa Semplinksi; four sisters Elizabeth (late Joseph) Rudman, Margaret (late Joseph) Bregar, Ann (Late Eugene) Washer and Dorothy Jean (late James) Anderson; two brothers Joseph (Edna) and Edward (Jackie) Spreitzer; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary (Levstik) Spreitzer; three sisters Mary (Anton) Smolich, Theresa (Nick) Rudman and Frances (Anthony) Panian.
Bernice was born and raised in Rockdale, IL. She has lived in Channahon for the past 12 years. She was a member of the K.S.K.J. and was an avid bingo player.

Richard W. Riley "Dick"
Age 85. At rest Thursday, January 22, 2004 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. born in Galesburg, IL and a resident of Joliet the past 57 years. Former owner/operator of Eby-Brown Company of Joliet, Inc, retiring in 1996. A United States World War II Army Veteran. Member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, the Joliet Elks Lodge #296, American Legion Harwood Post #5 and the Joliet Country Club where he was an avid golfer. Former Board Member of the Bank of Shorewood; and member of the Quail Ridge Country Club in Boyton Beach, Florida. On July 10, 1995, Richard shot a hole-in-one with his first shot of the day at the Provena Saint Joseph Annual Golf Outing.
Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Mildred (nee Mahoney) Riley of Joliet; two sons, Patrick (Lois) Riley of Joliet and Michael Riley of New York City; four grandchildren, Benjamin, Daniel, Rebecca and Alison Riley; and a brother, Edward (Fran) Riley of Peoria.
Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Irma Riley; and a sister, Barbara Behrens.

Blanche Seron
1905-2004
Blanche E. Seron, nee Emanuelson passed away peacefully on January 12, 2004 in Evanston, IL. Mrs. Seron was born in Wilmington, IL in 1905 to Charles Emanuelson and Mary Bond. She spent her early life in the Lockport area until the family moved to Joliet in the early 20s. She worked for many years for the Joliet telephone company becoming a supervisor. In 1933 Blanche married Dr. Suren M. Seron of Joliet. They lived at 1208 Taylor Street for over 50 years until Dr. Seron passed away in 1986. Mrs. Seron then moved to the Woodbridge Condominiums and then on to the Essington Retirement Home in Joliet until two and a half years ago when she moved to the Alden Estates in Evanston.
Mrs. Seron was a member of the Universalist Church of Joliet where she was active in the Clara Barton Guild. She loved to write poetry and was a member of the Joliet Writers Guild, and volunteered at the San Service. As an outstanding athlete she excelled in tennis, diving, and golf. She was also a very talented and creative artist and musician, playing the piano until 2001. She was a member of the Joliet Artists' League and many of her artworks hang in her children's homes. Her beautiful smile, her music and her warm, outgoing personality will be missed by all. She was truly a renaissance woman.
Blanche Seron is survived by twins, Merron (Janet) Seron of Louisville, KY; Marjo (Ken) Kraft of Evanston, IL and Suren V. Seron (Bonnie) of Minooka, IL; grandchildren, Sherry Kraft (Patrick) Kelly, Jill Kraft, Jennifer (Gary Simon) Seron, Stephanie (Andrew) Horne and Suren M. Seron; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Nicholas Horne and Dan E. Simon; her sister, Ethel Rawley of Joliet and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mina Dodge, Alice Emanuelson and her brother, Dr. John Emanuelson.

David A. Zechlin
Age 63, of Land O'Lakes, WI, died unexpectedly at home Saturday, December 27, 2003. His memorial service was held Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at Land O'Lakes Bible Church with interment in the church cemetery.
Dave was born April 9, 1940, in Joliet to Alfred and Lillian (Baumgartner) Zechlin of Frankfort. After working his way up from teller to executive vice president at Frankfort State Bank, he retired from banking in 1980 and moved with his family to northern Wisconsin. In the ensuing years he has been employed in the outfitting field. He found great pleasure in serving area churches as Sunday School teacher, treasurer and board member.
Survivors include Carol (Brisson) whom Dave married in 1970; son Jon (Jennifer), West Bend, WI; daughter Linnea (Lee) Frederick, Eagle River, WI; Ron and Jan Brisson, Durham, CT, and Carol's stepfather, Jack Samuels, Lewisville, OH.
Susan M. Augustine
Age 53, of Joliet. Formerly of Glasgow, MT. Left this world to meet the Lord in Heaven on January 22, 2001 at the Midwest Medical Cancer Clinic in Zion, IL with all her family by her side.
Survived by her loving husband and best friend, Robert Augustine, her loving sons, Gary (Lisa) and Mark (Jodi Pearlstein) and special granddaughters, Jessica, Amanda and Abigail Augustine; her loving sister, Geri (Richard) Dillon of New Lenox, IL; her loving father-in-law, Raymond Augustine; sister-in-law, Karen (Gerald) Puppe; brother-in-law, Jim (Barb) Augustine and numerous nieces and nephews in Goodhue, MN.
Preceded in death by her parents, Edith and Gary Schindler and mother-in-law, Marion Augustine.
Employed by her close friends, Judy Benson and Dinet Howarter at Timberwick Candles Inc. in Rockdale, IL.

Survived by his father, Robert A. Higgins; a brother, Robert H. (Jeanette) Higgins; maternal grandmother, Ann C. Age 53. Passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 24, 2001. Lifelong resident of Joliet.
Preceded in death by his father Dr. Clarence Larkin Sr. Survived by his loving children, Lynda S. Larkin and Scott M. Larkin, his mother Elizabeth Larkin. Pat was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the 101 Airborne, receiving a Bronze Star. Lifetime member of Cantigny Post #367 V.F.W.

Perry was born in Granville, IL, resided in Joliet most of his lifetime. Retired from APSA Rock Island and Joliet Army Ammunition Plant in 1981 and from Honeywell in 1989. Was a Sgt. US Army Veteran of WWII campaigns in Northern France, Battle of the Bulge and the Rhineland. Recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, member of the VFW Orland Park and St. Joseph Holy Name Society.
