Age 81. Passed away January 25, 2004 at Alden Orland Park Rehabilitation and Health Care in Orland Park. He was a lifelong resident of Green Garden Twp. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Frankfort. He worked and lived on his family's farm.
He is survived by his loving family, his brother Richard Knater. One sister-in-law Marilyn Knater. One niece Laura Wood. One nephew Mark Knater. Two step nephews Jack and Robert Knapp. One step niece Kathy McCadden.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Emma (Schram) Knater, one brother Ralph Knater and one sister-in-law Ann Knater.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 28, 2004 from 2-6 p.m. at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way (corner of Lagrange and Old Frankfort Way), Frankfort, IL 60423. Funeral Service Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. David Moffet-Moore officiating. Burial will be private. Late of Joliet, passed away Friday, January 23, 2004 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. born in Coal City, Aldeene was a daughter of the late Frank and Florence McGonagle-Cooper.
Survivors include a niece, Linda (Walter) Ruland of Daphne, Alabama; and a foster daughter, Sharon (Bud) McCall of Tarpon Springs, Florida; as well as foster grandchildren; great nieces, nephews; and her cousin-in-law, Deane Hynd of Wilmington.
Aldeene is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted; three brothers, Clayton, Raymond and Joseph; a sister, Ursala Monk; and her dear cousin, Rita Hynd.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 27, 2004 from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11:45 AM from Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington, proceeding to St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Frank Vitus and Deacon Donald Dyer will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington. Preferred memorials are gifts in Aldeene's name to St. Rose School, St. Rose Church or Kuzma Care Cottage.

Irma S. Bahor (nee Salamon)
Formerly of Joliet, passed away in Tullahoma, TN, after a brief illness, Wednesday, January 24, 2001. Age 88 years.
Survived by a son, Louis R. (Ruth Anne) Bahor of Manchester, TN; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Derek Amos) Bahor of Harker Heights, TX and Louis (Dana) Bahor Jr. of Kennesaw, GA. Also survived by several nieces, Mary Ann (James Tully) Salamon, Cynthia (Jay) Shepley and Laura (Russell) Seed; and a nephew, David (Linda) Carr. Also several great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Louis (1977); her parents, George R. and Irma (Szabo) Salamon; a sister, Justine Carr (1993); and a brother, Rudolph Salamon (1981).
Born in Piske, Hungary in 1912 and had been a lifelong Joliet resident. Lifelong and active member of St. John Lutheran Church. Retired from Stateville in 1992 and formerly employed with Joliet Federal Savings & Loans, and Hart Schaftner & Marx.
Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Monday, January 29 at 11 AM. Rev. Peter M. Holmer officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorials to St. John Lutheran Church will be appreciated.

Age 79. At rest Friday, January 26, 2001 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Elie (nee Rivera); loving father of Edward "Kookie" (Dede), Robert (Mary Alice), James (Mary), Eugene "Duge" Brenczewski and Gail Brenczewski; dearest grandfather of Derek (Hallie), Cory (Michelle), Mandie, Brett (Andrea), Brandon, Brian, Missy, Jaime, Ryan, Joshua, Brooke and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Brodie and Kiel; a brother, Raymond Brenczewski; two sisters; a sister-in-law, Jean (Eugene, deceased) Brenczewski. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Antonia (nee Gralak) Brenczewski; a sister, Stella Gnidovec; two brothers, Martin and Eugene Brenczewski.
Edward was born in Joliet and a life long resident. Retired from Weber Dairy (1974) and First National Bank (1986). Veteran World War II US Army served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater, received the Campaign Ribbon with one service star and the Purple Heart. Member Cantigny Post VFW #367, American Legion Post 1080 and Joliet Ravens Club.

Age 100, late of Joliet, died Friday, January 26, 2001 at her home. born in Mazon, Illinois, living in Joliet most of her life. Employed by Southern Fried Bakery for 45 years, retiring in 1987.
Preceded in death by her husband, Cyril; one daughter, Audrey Jane Coonan; her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Survived by one daughter, Marion Elberts of Joliet; and one son, James (Irene) Coonan of Garland, TX; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Age 87, of Minooka, Illinois died early Thursday morning, January 25, 2001 at the Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2001 at 10:30 A.M. at the Fruland Funeral Home in Morris, Illinois with Pastor Richard Darr officiating. Burial will be in the Willard Grove Cemetery in Channahon, Illinois. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 27, 2001 a the Fruland Funeral Home in Morris from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service.
She was born on December 11, 1913 in Channahon Township, Will County, Illinois and was the daughter of Olin and Daisy (Whitmore) Sage. She grew up and received her education in Channahon and graduated from the Joliet Central High School. She married William Henker and they lived all of their life farming in the Minooka, Illinois area.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, a special niece, Luann (Michael) Nash of Morris, Illinois who cared for her for may years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William in 1977; four brothers and one sister.

Age 69, December 11, 2000 in Encinitas, CA. A graduate of the school of the Art Institute of Chicago. She taught painting and art history at Joliet Junior College.
She is survived by a brother Jerome Kassiday of Boca Raton, FL, three nephews and two nieces.

Attended school in Grenada, MS., received her Cosmetology State License from Ella Mae Banks Beauty School in Joliet, IL. Employed before retirement at Western Electric, the Joliet Arsenal and as a Cosmetologist in Joliet, IL. Louise was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband Oscar Lewis Sr., one son Robert Earl Wright and his father Ulysses Wright, her father Willie B.C. Bew, Paternal and Maternal Grandparents and special nephew, Darnell Reed.

Died peacefully at his home with his family at his side, Friday, January 26, 2001. Age 79 years.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Esther (nee Albrecht); loved by his children and grandchildren; two daughters, Kathleen D. (Larry) Lorimor of Plainfield and Sheryl L. Lindstrom of Joliet; a son, Rollie L. (Sandi) Lindstrom of Plainfield; seven grandchildren, Lisa Lorimor, Heather Lorimor, Heidi Lorimor, Emily Lorimor, Christopher Lindstrom and Jonathan Lindstrom; a sister, Vivian (Roy) Sandbloom, formerly of Lockport and presently of Colorado. Also numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his Shetie dog, Tip.
Preceded in death by two infant sons, John and Ronald Lindstrom; his twin brother, Leslie Lindstrom; his brother, Folger Lindstrom; and a half-sister, Mourd Venske.
Born in Joliet Twp. High School, he was owner and operator of Quality Home Supply Hardware Store from 1960-1979. Member of Bethel Church. Volunteer and former board member of the Christian Youth Center and Larkin Baptist Church. Volunteered at Silver Cross Hospital for over 18 years. Veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving in World War II.
Lying in state Monday, January 29 at Bethel Church from 9:30 AM until time of services at 10 AM with Rev. Harvey Russell officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. John E. McGrath
Age 65, of Joliet, IL, formerly of Plainfield, IL, passed away Friday, January 25, 2001 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL. He was born August 23, 1935 in White Cottage, OH.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carol Sue (nee Miller) McGrath of Joliet; his mother, Naomi (nee Wince) McGrath of Lancaster, OH; his brother, Roger (Kathy) McGrath of Sleepy Hollow, IL; his sister, Betty Flynn of Lancaster, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; two godchildren, Sangell Mullins of Waukegan, IL and Hannah Sue Miller of Plainfield, IL.
Preceded in death by his father, John F. McGrath; and a brother, Richard McGrath.
Mr. McGrath grew up in Ohio and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. McGrath was a graduate of Governors State University, Chicago Heights, IL and was employed for many years with General Electric in Morris, IL as a nuclear safety engineer. Mr. McGrath was a member of Plainfield United Methodist Church and the Joliet Harley Davidson Owners group. He was a member of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite Consistory and Medinah Temple of Chicago.
