Age 85. Passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident; Army Air Force Veteran of World War II. Employed at Argonne and Fermi Laboratories before retiring.
Preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Margaret (nee Hoffer) Shaw; and a sister, June Shaw.
Survived by his wife, Blanche C. (nee Smith) Shaw; one daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Blackard of CT; one granddaughter, Keri Blackard; one brother, Robert Shaw Sr.; and a nephew, Robert Shaw Jr. both of Joliet.
At William's request, his body has been cremated. Inurnment Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox, IL at a later date.

Margaret M. Faoro (nee Marizza)
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at Provena Villa Franciscan Nursing Home. Age 98.
Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, John Faoro, her parents, Peter and Cecelia (nee Brun) Marizza, and four brothers, Sam, Tony, John and Bartho Marizza.
Margaret was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and knitting. A member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, the Lockport Youngtimers Club and the Polenta Club.
Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, Gerald L. Dames-Associate Director, 2320 Black Road, on Saturday, February 8, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. to St. Anne's Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Joliet Area Community Hospice or to St. Anne's Catholic Church would be appreciated. Visitation Saturday 9:30 until time of services.

Dearest grandfather of Michelle and Mark Kristich, Tom (Cheryl) and Ted (Lisa) Cerven, Jeannie (Mike) Groen, Joe (Lisa) Cerven, Chris (Jen) Kristich, Kelly, Kerri Kristich, Carolyn (Ryan) LeGrand, Mike (Stephanie) Battin. Great grandfather of Tom, Katelyn, Alexis and Cecilia Cerven. Three sisters, Mary (late Frank) Stefanich, Catherine (late Ray) Grskovic and Rosemary (Ed) Horvath, one brother Mike Kristich, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his wife, Frances M. (nee) Zupancic Kristich (1975), parents Marco and Mildred (nee) Lazich Kristich.
Peter was born in LaSalle, IL, resided in Crest Hill most of his lifetime. Retired from G.A.F. after 39 years of service. Member of Moran A.C. and Chaney Club.

Survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty", nee Stein, Lucheon; two daughters, Barbara (Robert) Salbego of Lemont and Janet (Terrill) Rowley of Duncan, AZ; two sons, Dennis (Susan) of Palos Heights and David (Christine) of Knoxville, TN; eight grandchildren, Diane (Kent) Oikle, Robert (Mary) Salbego, Jennifer (Matthew) Wolverton, Kelly (fiance, Michael Cronin) Lucheon, Jess and David Rowley, Jacob and Joshua Lucheon; three great grandchildren, Nicole and Kathleen Oikle, Andrew Salbego; and two sisters, Helen (Elmer) Hirniak and Olga Miskovic, both of Florida.

Age 67. Suddenly Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at his residence.
Survived by his children, Jacquelin (Chris) Krzyzanowski, Donald (Kimberly) Roddan Jr., Steven (Wendy) Roddan, Scott Roddan and Mark Roddan; grandchildren Steven, Adam, Steven and Nicole; brother Bill (Joyce) Roddan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Roddan; a sister Shirley Starret.
Born in Perry, IA, currently living in Diamond, IL. Donald was an Air Force Veteran. Employed by the Will County Health Department as a driver. He spoke to the Freedom From Smoking Group at the Health Department. Don was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 7, 2003 at 8 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Private interment will be held at a later date. Survived by her daughter, Sharon (Tim Presler) Haglund; son, Raymond (Peggy) Shea of Lauderhill, FL; two grandchildren, Michael Haglund of Joliet and Stephanie (Christopher) Harper of Joliet; great-granddaughter, Amber Harper; two stepsons, James Schneidereit of Colorado and Robert Schneidereit of CA; sister-in-law of Beverly Zagar of West Palm Beach, FL and Mary Lou Zagar of Joliet. Numerous nieces and nephews, including Larry Hausser of Crest Hill also survive.

Age 85, passed away peacefully March 1, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. born in Chicago, raised in Mokena, and spent her entire adult life in Joliet and New Lenox. Retired from Rust Craft Greeting Cards.
Survived by her loving children, Mary Ellis of New Lenox and Gary (Brenda) Sushka of Bloomington; precious grandchildren, Andy Ellis, Nicole, Megan and Brooke Sushka; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, William Cain; parents, Andrew and Minnie Wachter, brothers, Edwin and Carl Wachter; sisters, Dorothy Hentsch, Marguerite Welch, Frances Hall Guthrie and Madeline Wilson.
Evelyn was an avid Euchre player, conducting tournaments at the New Lenox American Legion and Irving Athletic Club for many years. Past President of the Harwood Post #5 American Legion Auxiliary; Past President of the Mokena Amvets Auxiliary and member of the Joliet Women of the Moose #300.
Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox Wednesday, 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM. Services will be held Thursday, March 7, 2002 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet. Age 25, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Joliet, IL, died suddenly Sunday, March 3, 2002. She was of the Lutheran faith.
A 1995 graduate of J.D. Darnall High School, Geneseo, IL, she was currently a student at Pellissippi State and an employee of Baker-Peters Jazz Club.
Survivors include: her husband, Michael Carr, and her son, Jonathan Tyler Carr, both of Knoxville; a daughter, Sydney Shae Armstrong of East Moline, IL; her father and stepmother, Pastor Paul and Evelyn Olson of Springfield, IL; her mother and stepfather, Kristi and Mark Bangert of Chicago, IL; her sisters: Sara Olson of Omaha, NE and Jessica Olson of Bloomington, IL; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Kevin and Erin Jerbi of Seattle, WA and Steve and Jen Jerbi of Frazier Park, CA; her father- and mother-in-law, John and Nancy Carr of Brunswick, ME; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jon Carr of Waterford, CT, Brian and Theresa Carr of Leesburg, VA, Greg and Joanna Carr of Nashua, NH; and several nieces and nephews.

Late of Wilton Township-Manhattan, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2002 in Joliet, IL. Age 77 years.
Born July 11, 1924 to the late Michael and Margaret Nugent Doyle.
Engaged in farming all of his life in Wilton Township.
Member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Wilmington.
Survived by two sisters: Ruth I. Harrell of Plainfield, IL and Loretta (Harold) Tulley of Wilmington.
Numerous nieces, nephews, and a friend of many.
Preceded by his parents; two brothers: Michael W. and Thomas F. Doyle; two sisters: Margaret Mary Glenney and Florence C. Delaney.
Visitation will be at the Reeves Funeral Home on Thursday, March 7, 2002, from 9-9:45 a.m., then to St. Rose Church for a mass at 10 a.m. Rev. Frank Vitus and Deacon Donald Dyer officiating.
