Janet E. Boldman, 82, a resident of the Toulon Health Care Center, died at 9:40 am Saturday, December 14, 2002, at Kewanee Hospital, Kewanee, Illinois. She was born April 28, 1920, in Toulon, Illinois, the daughter of Leslie and Cora Westerfield Downend. She married Ernest W. Boldman on February 21, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He died August 12, 2002, in Toulon.
Surviving are 1 son, James D. (Paula) Boldman of Galva, Ill.; 1 daughter, Barbara A. (David) Daum of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; 4 grandchildren; and 1 sister, Carolyn Scott of Neponset, Illinois. Her parents and one son, Steven Boldman preceded her in death.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Toulon and the Kewanee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday, December 22, 2002, at the Congregation Church with calling hours one hour prior.
Ann L. Roulds, 71, of Peoria and formerly of Kewanee, died at 6:55 pm on Friday, December 13, 2002, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 19, 2002, at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Revs. Robert E. Roulds and Dan Bond will officiate. Visitation was one hour prior to the services that were at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to World Wide Church of God in Bartonville, Ill.
Miss Roulds was born on November 28, 1930 in Brownsville, Tenn,, the daughter of Arthur S. and Elzina (Bond) Roulds. She is survived by four nephews, Frank (Brenda) Roulds, Jr. of Galesburg, Ill., Phinez Roulds of Waukegan, Ill., Tom (Shirley) Roulds, Jr. of Elgin, Ill. and Robert (Frieda) Roulds of Peoria, Ill., two nieces, Roxie A. Smith and David Aikens of North Chicago, Ill. and Cynthia Latham of Peoria, Ill., several great nieces & nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Thomas and Frank.
She graduated from Kewanee High School in 1950 and also graduated from Roosevelt University. She had worked as an accountant for Chicago Title and Trust until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of C.M.E Methodist Church in Brownsville, Tenn. and had attended World Wide Church of God in Bartonville, Ill. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and cooking.
Kathleen M. Tess, 86, of Princeville, formerly of Kewanee, died at 5:48 am Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at the Kewanee Hospital, Kewanee, Ill.
Born August 2, 1916, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of William and Mary (mother’s maiden name unavailable) Rude, she married Henry Tess August 11, 1944. He died December 4, 1964, in Stark, Ill. Also preceding her in death was 1 brother, John Rude.
Surviving is 1 daughter, Mary (and Don) Sloan of Princeville, Ill., and 1 son, Henry Tess of Davenport, Ia.
She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church, Kewanee, and a charter member of Princeville Baptist Church.
Funeral services were at 11 am Friday, December 13, 2002, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Rev. Tedd Butler will officiate. Visitation was one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial was in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery,rural Wyoming., Ill.

Hazel L. Rohrig, 79, of Kewanee died at 3:35 pm on Sunday, December 15, 2002 at Oakwood Health Care Center in Kewanee.
Miss Rohrig was born November 12, 1923 in Kewanee, Ill., the daughter of Fredrick J. and Myrtle L. (Imes) Rohrig. She is survived by a brother, Walter F. Rohrig of Kewanee, two sisters, Mrs. (Charles) Anita Gardner of St. Louis, Mo. and Mrs. (Norman) Marilyn J. Adams of Annawan, Ill., one niece, ten nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held at 11 am on Thursday, December 19, 2002 at Kewanee Assembly of God. Rev. David Wineinger officiated. Visitation was one hour prior to the service, which began at 10 am at the church. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established later.
She had done babysitting in her home over the years. She was a member of Kewanee Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed doll collecting and cats.
Civillia L. E. Yager, 93, a resident of the Toulon Health Care Center, Toulon, formerly of rural Princeville since 1947, and Peoria, died at 2:25 am, Thursday, December 12, 2002, at the Health Care Center.
Born October 6, 1909, in Secor, Ill., the daughter of Willis A. and Effie M. Dehorty Blair, she married Francis W. Yager on September 13, 1928, in Peoria. He died October 1988, in rural Princeville. Also preceding her in death was 1 son, 9 brothers and sisters, and 1 granddaughter.
Surviving are 2 sons, Kenneth (and Patricia) Yager of rural Princeville, and Jerry (and Kelley) Graham of Phoenix, AZ; 1 brother, Loren Blair of East Peoria; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the former Averyville Congregational Church in Peoria.
Funeral services were 11 am Monday, December 16, 2002, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Rev. Harry Losey officiated. Visitation was from 5 to 7 pm Sunday, December 15, 2002, at the funeral home. Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.

George Kieser, 90, of 232 Ostrom Ave, died at 4:55 am Thursday, December 12, 2002, at Apostolic Christian Skylines, Peoria. He was born September 10, 1912, in Morton, Ill., the son of David and Martha Rassi Kieser. He married Esther Knobloch on March 20, 1938, in Princeville.
She survives, along with 3 daughters, Marjorie (Jack) Zimmerman of Deer Creek, Ill.; Delores (Donald) Duckworth of Bradford, Ill.; and Nancy (Robert) Wieland of Laura, Ill.; 2 sons, Charles (Marie) Kieser of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Randy (Brenda) Kieser of Wyoming., Ill.; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, David Kieser of Princeville. Two brothers and 5 sisters preceded him in death.
He farmed in Valley Township, Stark County, for 50 years, retiring in 1978. After retiring, he volunteered for Proctor Hospital and Apostolic Christian Skylines for many years. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm Sunday, December 15, 2002, at the Apostolic Christian Church. Ministers of the church officiated. Visitation was held from 2 to 4 pm, and 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2002, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, and also from noon until 12:45 pm Sunday at the church. Burial was in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.

Norman G. Schreiber, 83, of 2699 Cottage Road, LaFayette, Illinois, died at 7:30 am Monday, December 9, 2002, at his residence. born November 21, 1919, in El Paso, Illinois, the son of Benjamin Richard and Mary Woodruff Schreiber, he married Vera Nagel on June 24, 1944, in Farmersville, Ill. She survives.
Also surviving are 1 son, Glenn Schreiber of Toulon, Ill.; 1 daughter, Anita Palmer of Chicago, Ill.; and 4 grandchildren. His parents and one daughter preceded him in death.
He taught music for various schools throughout Illinois for many years. He was a member of Stanford Christian Church, Stanford, Ill.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private memorial service and burial of ashes will be at a later date. DeBolt-Kidd Funeral Home, Toulon, is in charge of arrangements.
Christopher Lee Johnston, 21, of Tiskilwa, Illinois, died at 12:15 am Saturday, December 7, 2002, at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley following an automobile accident. He was born November 18, 1981, in Princeton, son of Mark D. and Nancy K. (Harmon) Johnston.
His parents, two brothers Eric and Nick all of Tiskilwa; his maternal grandparents, Walter and Muriel Harmon of Bradford; his paternal grandfather, Raymond Johnston of Princeton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins survive him.
His paternal grandmother, Margaret Johnston, preceded him in death.
He was a 2000 graduate of Princeton High School and attended Heartland Junior College in Normal. He was employed part-time as a heavy-equipment operator for Tri-Com Materials in Hennepin. He enjoyed the outdoors.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at 10:30 am at Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton with Deacon John Murphy officiating. Visitation was held Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial was in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Tiskilwa. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Lawrence L. Wilson, 77, of White Bluff, Tennessee, formerly of Peoria and Aurora, died 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, at his residence.
Born June 23, 1926, in Speer, Illinois, the son of James Dewey and Elsie Mae Lawrence Wilson, he married Jacquline Delores Ceas on October 13, 1951. She died April 17, 1997, in Aurora, Illinois.
Surviving are 5 sons, Larry (and Dana) Wilson of Madison, Tennessee, Richard (and Eileen) Wilson of Somonauk, Illinois, David Wilson and Randy Wilson both of Aurora, Illinois, and Jeff Wilson of White Bluff, Tennessee; 2 daughters, Brenda (and Carl) Theobald of Princeville, Illinois, and Kimberly (and Tom) Fromherz of Sandwich, Illinois; 1 sister, Henrietta Rollins of Wyoming., Illinois; 15 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. His parents and one brother, Kenneth Eugene Wilson preceded him in death.
He first worked on the section gang for the Rock Island Railroad, he later worked for Limestone Township in Peoria County, Illinois, in road maintenance. He then worked as a truck driver for 10 years for Moser Trucking in Montgomery, Illinois. He last worked as a foreman for 15 years at Lakone Plastics in Montgomery, Illinois, retiring in 1989.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2002, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Visitation will be two hours prior to funeral service. Rev. Joel G. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery, Princeville.

Judith A. Dallinger-Grigg, 47, of Princeville, died at 8:14 am Thursday, November 28, 2002, at Proctor Hospital Emergency Room, Peoria.
Born December 22, 1954, in Peoria, the daughter of Cecil L. and Ethel I. Burns Dallinger, she married Leland D. Grigg on November 15, 1975, in Princeville.
He survives, along with 1 son, Nickolas D. Grigg, and 1 daughter, Angela Ann Grigg, both at home; 1 sister, Cathi (and Tom) Sprecher of Kearney, MO; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Cliff Mann Floral Design School, Denver, Colorado, she first worked as a Certified Floral Designer for local florists. Most recently she was a waitress for DT's Sports Bar & Grill in Princeville. She was a 3rd and 4th grade soccer coach with the Wyoming. Youth Athletic Program for several years. She was a member of the Friends of the Lilly B. Evans Library, and of First Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, December 2, 2002, at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Harry Losey will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8:00 pm Sunday, December 1, 2002, at the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.

D. Christine McCaw, 87, of Peoria, formerly of Edelstein and North Fort Meyers, Florida, died 6:17 a.m. Thursday, November 28, 2002, at Proctor Hospital, Peoria.
Born June 16, 1915, in Davis County, Missouri, the daughter of James and Verna Davis McAllister, she married Everett L. McCaw on February 1, 1936, in Ottumwa, Iowa. He died August 15, 2001, in Peoria.
Surviving are 2 sons, James L. (and Gloria) McCaw of Goodfield, Illinois, and Billy G. (and Mary) McCaw of Peoria, Illinois; 1 daughter, Dixie L. Berry of Peoria, Illinois; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, James McAllister of Minier, Illinois; 1 sister, Gwen Nelson of Farmington, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
She attended Calvary Baptist Bible Church, Peoria.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2002, at American Mausoleum, 7911 N. Allen Road, Peoria. Rev. Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service at the mausoleum.

Lillian Emma Stahl, 94, died at 8:50 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2002, at the Apostolic Christian Skylines, Peoria, where she was a resident. born May 18, 1908, in Wolcott, Indiana, the daughter of Christ and Louise Farney Stoller, she married Herman L. Stahl, on March 11, 1936, in Peoria. He died September 13, 1993, in Peoria. Also preceding her in death were 3 brothers, Elmer, Joe, and Walter Stoller; 4 sisters, Clara Winger, Helen Knapp, Mary Hitz, and Arvilla Yergler.
Surviving is 1 son, Dean Stahl of Kewanee; 3 daughters, Charlotte Stahl of Bradford, Diane Stahl of Peoria, and Jacquelyn (Ronald) Rumbold of Galva, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She and her husband farmed near Brimfield for many years until retiring. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville.
Funeral services were held at 10 am Saturday, November 30, 2002, at the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville. Ministers of the church officiated. Visitation was held from 2 to 4 pm and then from 5:30 to 8 pm Friday, November 29, 2002, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, and also from 9 am to 9:45 am Saturday at the church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, and 1 step-brother, Jackie Wright, III.
He was employed after school and on weekends at McDonald’s in Peoria. He graduated from Central Jr. High School in East Peoria, attended East Peoria High School and First Baptist Church of Metamora.
Services were 10 am on Monday, December 2, 2002 at Davidson-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria, with visitation on Sunday, December 1. Burial was at the Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Memorial contributions may be made to M.A.D.D.
Roger Hamilton, 43, son of Mrs. Betty Hamilton of Oglesby, and the late Paul Hamilton was killed in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, November 9.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Grey Funeral Home in Oglesby, Illinois, on November 11, at 9:00 a.m. Mass was held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Oglesby on Saturday, November 12.
He is survived by his mother, 3 brothers, Dennis, Greg, Kevin and one sister Lorraine, nieces and nephews.

Richard Green, 76, former resident of Stark and Henry counties, died November 22, at his house. Memories may be directed to the family for their discretion. A memorial service was held at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Rockford, Illinois. Burial will be in Toulon cemetery.
Virginia "Ginny" Hagy, 83, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Toulon, died November 22, 2002, at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center, LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
She was born June 19, 1919, in Toulon, the daughter of Oscar L. and Irene Murchison Hagy.
Surviving are 1 brother, Robert (and Donna) Hagy of LaCrescent, Minnesota.; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Robert Schmidt of Toulon, Illinois. Her parents, one brother, John M. Hagy, and two sisters, Rebecca Costain and Helen Schmidt preceded her in death.
She attended Toulon schools, and was employed at the Stark County News for several years before moving to the Chicago area. She worked as an advertising consultant at Kemper Insurance in Chicago for 30 years, before retiring to Naples, Florida, in 1986. She volunteered at the Children's Learning Center in Naples, Florida, where she enjoyed working with young children.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Naples.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2002, at First Congregational Church, Toulon. Rev. Wayne McLeod officiated. Visitation was one hour prior to funeral services at the church. Burial was held in Toulon Cemetery.
