EAST PEORIA - Rodney L. "Zeke" Bleichner, 54, East Peoria, formerly of Princeville and Oak Run, died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 20, 2003) at Kewanee Hospital.
He was born May 30, 1949, in Peoria, the son of John J. and Laura E. Tuckey Bleichner.
He married Barbara K. Burton on March 10, 1973, in Chillicothe.
Surviving are his wife; his mother of Chillicothe; one son, Kevin L. (and Amanda) Bleichner, Creve Coeur; one daughter, Teresa L. Gardner, Laura; one sister, Rebecca (and Jerry) Hahn, Dunlap; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He worked as night custodian for Elmwood Grade School in Elmwood, and previously worked as a custodian for Princeville School District 326 and also as a laborer for ADM in Peoria.
He was a past member of the Alta Masonic Lodge 748 AF&AM and was of the Methodist faith.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, with the Rev. Harry Losey officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Dunlap.

DUNLAP - Laura E. Bleichner, 74, Dunlap, died at 5:20 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 5, 2004) in Heritage Manor, Chillicothe, where she was a resident the past two years.
She was born Jan. 5, 1930, in Peoria, the daughter of Lloyd Albert and Nona Belle Waddell Tuckey.
She married John J. Bleichner on Oct. 27, 1947, in Oak Hill. He died June 17, 1967, in Peoria.
Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca L. (and Jerry K.) Hahn, Dunlap; one sister, Janice Teske, Princeville; one daughter-in-law, Barbara K. Bleichner, East Peoria; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Rodney Bleichner, two sisters and one brother.
She and her husband owned and operated J&L Locker & Superette in Dunlap, retiring in 1966. She later worked for LR Nelson Co. in Princeville.
She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church, Dunlap.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Prospect United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mark Graham officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria. Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, is in charge of arrangements.

Blickem, William E.

WATAGA - William E. "Bill" Blickem, 56, Wataga, died 2:23 p.m. Friday (Feb. 6, 2004) in Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.
He was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Decatur, the son of V. Joe and Wanda Brown Blickem.
Surviving are his parents of Knoxville; two brothers, V. Joe Blickem Jr., Wataga, and Norman L. (and Carol) Blickem, Knoxville; two sisters Mary (and Bill) Higgins, Galesburg, and Linda (and Jeff) Feely, Wataga; a special friend who cared for him and her son, Cheryl and Cole Wilson, Wataga; and several nieces and nephews.
He served in the Army in Germany and Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
He lived in the Knoxville area most his life and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1965.
He worked as a pipefitter from 1973 until retiring Feb. 1.
He was a member of Knoxville American Legion, United Association Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 25 in Rock Island.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel, with Dave Scholl officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, with military rites by Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285.

BURLINGTON, Iowa - Sharon Kay Bloomer, 55, Burlington, died at 3:05 a.m. Monday (Jan. 12, 2004) in the GRMC Klein Center, Des Moines, Iowa.
She was born Sept. 4, 1948, in Burlington, the daughter of James C. and Virginia C. Gorrell Ita.
She married Robert Bloomer on June 6, 2000, in Allens Park, Colo. He died July 13, 2002.
Surviving are her parents of Burlington; five sons, Christopher Ita, Abingdon, Jeff Bloomer, Fort Madison, Iowa, Matt Bloomer, Independence, Iowa, David Bloomer, Schaumberg, and Mitch Bloomer, Jacksonville; two brothers, Joseph Ita, Wever, Iowa, and Douglas Ita, Burlington; a sister, Linda Avery, Burlington; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by two nephews.
She worked as an operating room technician at Burlington Medical Center for 38 years.
She was a member of St. John and Paul Catholic Church.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. John's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Patrick Hilgendorf and Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating. Friends may call today at Prugh Funeral Home; family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

SNOWFLAKE, Ariz. - Max Willard Bloomfield, 69, Snowflake, died Friday (Oct. 3, 2003) at home.
He was born Dec. 9, 1933, in North Henderson.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Bloomfield, Snowflake; three daughters, Denise (and Jeff) Oscarson and Becky (and Nick) Nicassio, both of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Debbie (and Randy) Hansen, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Edward (and Sue) Bloomfield, Chino Valley, Ariz., and Shane (and Alisa) Bloomfield, Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Shirley (and Arley) Adams and Peggy (and Dewayne) Magnuson; a brother, Merril (and Barbara) Bloomfield; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
He was raised in the North Henderson area and graduated from Alexis High School. He attended the Illinois State Police Academy and equipment manufacturing schools.
He moved to Arizona in 1969 and since 1973 was a tractor and implement salesman.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Temple View Chapel, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Snowflake, where visitation will be one hour before the service. Owens Mortuary, Snowflake, is in charge of arrangements.

ABINGDON - Mary J. Bond, 87, 608 W. Monmouth St., died at 1 p.m. Monday (Feb. 2, 2004) in Care Center of Abingdon.
She was born May 15, 1916, in Warren County, the daughter of Malcolm and Hazel Baer Johnson.
She married Frederick James Bond in 1942 in Miami, Fla. He died Oct. 2, 1956.
Surviving are two sons, Fred (and Julie) Bond Jr., Hermosa, Calif., and Steve Bond, Santa Ana, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara (and David) Moore, Alhambra, Calif.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1934 and from Western Illinois Teachers College in Macomb.
She taught third grade at Abingdon Grade School for 31 years, retiring in 1982.
She had lived in Miami, Fla.; Tegucigalpa, Honduras; San Jose, Costa Rica; and moved back to Abingdon in 1957.
She was a member of Berwick Baptist Church and area bridge clubs.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel, with Eleanor Landon officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.

GODFREY - Sara Ann "Sally" Bonnell, 70, Godfrey, died at 9:02 p.m. Friday (July 30, 2004) in St. Anthony's Health Center.
She was born July 24, 1934, in Beaver Prairie, the daughter of Alfred and Regina Warner Schlobohm.
She married Raymond Bonnell on Jan. 10, 1953, in Alton.
Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Michelle (and Rich) Fleisher, Knoxville, Cindy (and Bobby Baron) Bonnell, East Alton, Kim (and Rusty) Bilbruck, Gillespie, and Jennifer (and Dave) Hamlin, Gillette, Wyo.; two sons, Doug (and Terri) Bonnell, Larkspur, Colo., and Tim (and Jenny) Bonnell, Alton; a sister, Eleaner Mitchell, Springfield; three brothers, Harold Schlobohm, Surprise, Ariz., Roland Schlobohm, Peace Tree City, Ga., and Neal Schlobohm, Atlanta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Resurrection Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dennis Young officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gent Funeral Home, Alton. Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park.

Bonynge, Thomas L.

ALEDO - Thomas L. Bonynge, 80, Aledo, died Thursday (Dec. 18, 2003), in the Mercer County Nursing Home.
He was born April 27, 1923, in Aledo, the son of Albert and Frances Sproston Bonynge.
He married Nancy Johnson on Oct. 16, 1943, in Alexandria, Va.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Susie (and Bob) Watson, Bloomington, and Beth (and Mike) Bowns, Heyworth; one son, Mike (and Shirley) Bonynge, Aledo; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
He graduated from Aledo High School.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He farmed for many years and was a salesman for Moorman Feed and later for ASGROW Seed Co., retiring in 2000.
He was a member Mercer County VFW Post 1571 where he was Chaplin for more than 20 years, the College Avenue Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Fallerans Post 121 in Aledo.
He served as Mercer County Township Supervisor for several years and was active in the American Red Cross Blood Drive.
Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the College Avenue Presbyterian Church in Aledo. Burial will be in the Aledo Cemetery, where graveside military honors will be conducted by the Mercer County VFW Post 1571. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the church where memorials may be left to the church or Mercer County VFW Post 1571.

Boock, Roger O.

MONMOUTH - Roger O. Boock, 86, Monmouth, died at 8:01 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 15, 2003) at home.
He was born Jan. 24, 1917, in Henderson County, the son of Charles W. and Myrtle Osborn Boock.
He married Louise Simonson on April 20, 1940, in Burlington, Iowa.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Connie (and Lowell) Eby, Keller, Texas; two grandsons; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He was reared and educated in Henderson, Mercer and Warren county.
He farmed for 25 years in the Gladstone, Gerlaw, Kirkwood and Little York areas and operated Boock Fuel Service near Little York area for 18 years.
He was a member of Gerlaw Christian Church, the Warren County Farm Bureau and the Little York Lions Club.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, with the Revs. Paul Lydic and Phil Cooper officiating. Friends may call Friday at the funeral home; family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.

LONDON MILLS - Ed Boone, 63, rural London Mills, died at 1 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 25, 2003) at home.
He was born June 1, 1940, near LaHarpe, the son of Virgil and Ethel Buhl Boone.
He married Jan Meadows on Oct. 24, 1958, in Abingdon.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Danny (and Patty) Boone, Abingdon; two daughters, Kathy (and James) Ball, Kewanee, and Tracey Roberts-Alvarez of, Malta; two brothers, Terry (and LeAnn) Boone, Wataga, and Jerry (and Jenny) Boone, Louisa, Va.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
He was raised in the LaHarpe and Roseville areas. His family moved to Abingdon in 1957 and he graduated from Abingdon High School in 1958. He lived near London Mills the past 32 years.
An electrician, he worked at the former Briggs Mfg. Company and Schisler Companies, and operated Boone's Electric. He was retired.
He was a member of the former London Mills Masonic Lodge and was a former member of the Abingdon Auxiliary Police Department.
He was baptized in the Methodist and Christian churches in Roseville.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel, with Eleanor Landon officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.

YATES CITY - Sterling Richard "Dick" Booth Jr., 74, rural Yates City, died at 5:17 a.m. Thursday (May 6, 2004), in Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.
He was born April 20, 1930, in Manito, the son of Sterling R. Sr. and Greta Golden Booth.
He married Charlotte Sherman on July 6, 1952, in Elba Center.
Surviving are his wife; his mother of Chillicothe; a son, Richard Lee (and Jody) Booth, Elmwood; two daughters, Sarah Jean (and Greg) Riss, Webster Grove, Mo., and Mary Lynn (and Nathan) Mims, Galesburg; four brothers, James (and Margaret) Booth, Galesburg, Bob (and Lisa) Booth, Peoria, Pat (and Becky) Booth, East Peoria, and Mike (and Lana) Booth, Chillicothe; two sisters, Barbara (and Pete) Peterson, Pharr, Texas, and Sharon Whitney, Moline; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was a patent agent at Caterpillar Inc., and had several patents credited to his name.
He was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers; Peoria County Farm Bureau; Illinois Council 1 of Knoxville; Mohammed Shriners of Peoria; York Rite Masons of Peoria; and Order of the Red Cross of Constantine, Peoria.
He was president of Elba-Salem Fire Protection Trustees and past fire chief; on the board of directors of Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts and a former area representative of that association; was a 50-year member of the Yates City Masonic Lodge 448 and a 50-year member and past High Priest of Royal Arch of Yates City; a dual member of Eastern Star of Galesburg Chapter 235 serving as Marshal; served a 5-year term on Eastern Star Home Board from 1988 to 1993, serving as secretary, vice president and president; and a Cub Scout leader for several years.
He was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church in Yates City, where he served on several boards and was a long time Sunday school teacher.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Patterson Funeral Home, Elmwood, with the Rev. Sharon Treptow officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m Sunday at the funeral home, with a Masonic Service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in Yates City Cemetery.
