GALESBURG - Dolores M. Ford, 77, 140 W. First St., died at 7:22 p.m. Friday (Oct. 24, 2003) at home.
She was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Galesburg, the daughter of Sydney and LaBlanche Ayers Finley Sr.
She married Cecil Bruce Ford in 1947 in Peoria.
Surviving are a son, Glenn Finley Ford, Encino, Calif.; three daughters, LoisAnn Hall, Sherman Oaks, Calif., Candy Webb and Cyd Janine (and Randy) Pelotte, both of Galesburg; a sister, Dorothy Newman, Las Vegas; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Ford, and two brothers.
She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1943 and from Knox College in 1947.
She taught English at Galesburg High School and Lombard Junior High School for 18 years, retiring June 1, 1991. She also taught in Long Island, N.Y., before returning to Galesburg.
She was a member of Central Congregational Church and its Sarah Martha Circle and Benevolence Committee. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, was a former president of the Galesburg Education Association, former chairwoman of the City of Galesburg's Youth Commission and a board member of the Court Appointed Special Advocates and Harrington Family Services Foundation. She was a volunteer for several other organizations in Galesburg.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel, with the Rev. Thomas Heather officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

GALESBURG - JoAnn M. Ford, 75, 169 Lake St., died at 2:50 a.m. Monday (Feb. 16, 2004) in Marigold Health Care Center.
She was born March 31, 1928, in Mason City, Iowa.
Surviving are two sons, Steve Carter, Juarez, Mexico, and Richard Ford, Littleton, Colo.; four daughters, Susan Wall, Provo, Utah, Dianna Pacheco, Galesburg, Barbe Ford, Victoria, British Columbia, and Katy Stewart, Hillsborough, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Corey Ford, and a grandson.
No services are planned. Cremation will be accorded. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Lois B. Foreman

MONMOUTH - Lois B. Foreman, 96, Monmouth, died at 5:25 p.m. Sunday (April 4, 2004) in LaMoine Christian Nursing Home, Roseville.
She was born April 3, 1908, in Monmouth, the daughter of Samuel and Margaret Lewin Wong.
She married Herbert Foreman on Nov. 25, 1926, in Monmouth. He died Sept. 17, 1977.
Surviving are four sons, Jack (and Leona) Foreman, Fort Madison, Iowa, and Jim (and Lois) Foreman, David (and Barb) Foreman and Paul Foreman, all of Monmouth; two daughters, Diane (and Jim) Kane, Monmouth, and Carole (and Donald) Millard, Oquawka; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son and three sisters.
She was reared and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1926.
She was a homemaker, and she and her husband owned and operated the Kirkwood Pool Hall for many years.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Monmouth Cemetery, with Jim Oliver officiating. No visitation is planned. Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Lorraine Graham Forry, 88, Santa Cruz, Calif., formerly of Macomb, died Thursday (Nov. 13, 2003) at her residence.
She was born July 22, 1915, in Macomb, the daughter of Eula Dale and Treva Lee Carmack Graham.
She married Kenneth Miles Forry in 1948, in Martinez, Calif. He preceded her in death in 1994.
Surviving are one son, Mark (and Frances Hatfield) Forry, Santa Cruz, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Lois (and Robert) Adams, Los Altos, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Laurie Forry, Colusa, Calif.; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kenneth Graham Forry, one stepson, David Forry, and two brothers.
She graduated from Knox College in 1936 with a degree in education and began teaching elementary school in Galesburg.
She moved to California in 1938 and taught in several California school districts, including special education in the Berkeley School District, retiring in 1973. She also worked for McGraw-Hill in 1944 and traveled extensively selling textbooks.
She was a member of the P.E.O. chapter and Trinity Presbyterian Church, both in Santa Cruz.
Funeral will be at 11 am. Thursday at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home, Macomb, followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb. A service will also be held Nov. 29 in Santa Cruz, Calif.

ABINGDON - Roy Richard Fox, 85, 314 E. Martin Street, died at 8:50 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 28, 2003) in Care Center of Abingdon.
He was born Aug. 31, 1918, in Knoxville, the son of Samuel R. and Nellie M. Traub Fox.
He married Alta B. Cooper on June 24, 1939, in Burlington, Iowa. He married Carol E. Rosenberry on Aug. 21, 1970, in Danesfield, Iowa.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Donna C. (and Charles) Onley, Toulon; a son, Stephen R. (and Laura) Fox, Knoxville; a stepdaughter, Ellen Marie Williams, Emery, Texas; four stepsons, John E. (and Cathy) Rosenberry and John Elliott Williams Jr., both of Prophetstown, Kenneth Eugene (and Jeannie) Williams, Gilson, and Robert Elliott Williams, Peoria; a sister, Louise Hall, Knoxville; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.
He lived all his life in the Knoxville and Abingdon areas and lived in Abingdon the past 28 years.
An Army veteran of World War II, he served from July 19, 1943, to Feb. 8, 1946. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster and EAME Theater Ribbon with two Battle Stars.
He worked at Admirals for 43 years, beginning in 1939 as a line foreman.
He was a member of Knoxville United Methodist Church and attended East Galesburg Community Chapel, and was a member of Admiral Local 2063.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville, with the Rev. Milton Marquith officiating. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery, with military honors by Harry M. Philblad American Legion Post 749, Knoxville.

MONMOUTH - Luther B. Francis, 90, rural Larchland, died at 11 p.m. Monday (Oct. 20, 2003) at home.
He was born June 9, 1913, in Larchland, the son of Griffith W. and Margaret Docker Francis.
He married Alveta King on Dec. 20, 1949, in McComb, Miss.
Surviving are his longtime companion and caregiver, Helen Hartzell of Monmouth; three nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, three brothers and one nephew.
He attended Larchland Grade School and Monmouth High School.
He farmed and raised cattle. After retiring from farming, he was an insurance adjuster for Federal Crop Production.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Monmouth, and a former member of the Elks.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Turnbull Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Jackson officiating. Friends may call after noon Thursday and Friday at the funeral home; family will be present one hour before the service. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Kirkwood.
Memorials may be made to his church.
Frazier, Barbara B.

MONMOUTH - Barbara Blair Frazier, 86, Monmouth, died at 2:20 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 8, 2004), in McDonough District Hospital, Macomb.
She was born Sept. 21, 1917, in Monmouth, the daughter of Charles P. and Blanche Wilson Blair.
She married Eldon Frazier on Aug. 8, 1937. He died July 5, 1988.
Surviving are two daughters, Tamara (and Charles) Thompson, Blanchard, Idaho, and Cynthia "Cyndy" (and William) Moore, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; one son, Blair (and Donna) Frazier, Macomb; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
She graduated from Monmouth High School. She attended Monmouth College for one year before transferring to Duke University where she received a degree in English. While at Monmouth College, she was initiated into the Alpha Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity.
She spent most of her married life in Akron and Fremont, Ohio; and Sturgis, Mich. While in Sturgis, she was the owner and operator of an artisan's shop for nine years.
She was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church in Monmouth, and the PEO in Ohio, Michigan and Monmouth, and was a member of OGM. For the past 15 years she was hostess of the Stewart House, the birthplace of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
Cremation was accorded. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Faith United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. William Myers officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Turnbull Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to The Stewart House.

WATAGA - V. Allen Freberg, 83, 407 Knox Road, died at 7:55 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 21, 2003) in OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
He was born July 17, 1920, in Osco, the son of G. Victor and Mary Robertson Freberg.
He married Eleanor I. Pumfrey on Feb. 3, 1946, in Galesburg.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, John (and Lois) Freberg, Oneida, and Dale (and Jan) Freberg, Galesburg; a daughter, Janet (and Greg) Shields, Galesburg; two sisters, Betty Cheline, Galva, and Dorothy Zimmerman, Bloomington; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and a grandson.
He farmed all his life, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Knox County Farm Bureau, was a 4-H leader for 20 years, an honorary member of the FFA Chapter in Galesburg since 1964 and a charter member of the Henderson Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Henderson Fire Department or his church.

KEWANEE - Joseph L. "Joe" Fredrickson, 46, Kewanee, died at 3:34 p.m. Friday (Sept. 19, 2003) at home.
He was born March 26, 1957, in Kewanee, the son of Robert K. and Delores "Dee" DeClerk Fredrickson.
Surviving are his father, Robert (and Beth) Fredrickson, East Moline, and mother, Dee Fredrickson, Galva; one son, Zachery Crockett, Kewanee; two brothers, Mick (and T.J.) Fredrickson, Guthrie, Okla., and Victor (and Debbie) Fredrickson, Bryan, Texas; one half-brother, Lonnie (and Jill) Hostens, Moline; three sisters, Corinna (and Clete) Saunier, Lake Worth, Fla., Laurie (and Rick) Mansfeldt, Cumming, Ga., and Crystal VanWassenhove, Kewanee; and 19 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He graduated from Kewanee High School in 1976.
He was employed as a construction worker with various contractors and had worked out of the Galesburg Union Hall. He was a member of Galesburg Local 671.
He served in the Army in Germany from 1976-81.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Rux Funeral Home, with Brian Giese officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery, Cambridge. Military rites will be conducted by the Kewanee Veterans Council.
A memorial fund will be established later.
