MONMOUTH - Maxine Montgomery, 83, Monmouth, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday (May 27, 2003) at home.
She was born Nov. 28, 1919, in Roseville, the daughter of Herbert and Phoebe Phillips Brown.
She married John L. Pierce. He died June 15, 1971. She married Ted Montgomery on July 30, 1972, in Rock Island.
Surviving are her husband; six daughters, Jane Cook, Nancy Bloomfield and Darlene Bush, all of Monmouth, Pat Kenney, Galva, Mary Millard, Montgomery, Ind., and Bert Nickel, Kalama, Wash.; a son, John Pierce, Galesburg; a sister, Dorothy Ann Liby, Monmouth; two brothers, Richard Brown, Monmouth, and Charlie (and Kathy) Brown, Bartonville; 40 grandchildren and 84 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Ronald Pierce, Robert Pierce and Melvin Pierce, two brothers and two sisters.
She was reared and educated in the Roseville area.
She was a homemaker and worked for seven years at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, Iowa, and at Formfit in Monmouth for several years.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Turnbull Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ken Muck officiating. Friends may call Thursday and Friday at the funeral home; family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa - Leanna L. Morgan, 57, West Liberty, died Thursday (April 15, 2004), at her home following an extended illness.
She was born March 16, 1947, in Tulsa, Okla., the daughter of Jacob Kilburn Jr. and Shirley Lewis Hidlebaugh.
She married Russell Miller on April 16, 1966. She later married Ray Morgan on July 2, 1977. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Kelly Miller Lanham, West Branch; two sisters, Karen (and Gary) Martin and Dana "Suzie" (and Gary) Umlandt, both of Muscatine; two grandchildren; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and one brother.
She graduated from Muscatine High School in 1965.
She spent her working years as a house cleaner and home health care aide.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Muscatine.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rex Kilburn officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

KEWANEE - Cecil Washington Newman, 90, Kewanee, died at 2:50 a.m. Monday (April 12, 2004) in Royal Oaks Care Center.
He was born Jan. 9, 1905, in Wethersfield Township, the son of Calvin L. and Della G. Shaner Newman.
He married Genevieve Hardt on May 14, 1936, in Kewanee. She died Aug. 17, 1988.
Surviving are three sons, James A. (and Jeanne) Newman, Washington, and Terry D. (and Frances) Newman and Gerald G. (and Patricia) Newman, both of Kewanee; a daughter, Shirley E. (and Richard) Dana, Kewanee; a brother, Gene C. (and Helen) Newman, Kewanee; two sisters, Geraldine E. Schneider, Galesburg, and Bernice E. Coplan, Jacksonville; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He worked in custom farming, corn shelling and dynamiting.
He was a member of the Burns Grange since 1961 and was an airplane pilot.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rux Funeral Home, with the Rev. K. Bruce Rushing officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens near Kewanee.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Henry County Humane Society.

LONDON MILLS - Avis Lucile Owens, 92, London Mills, died at 1:03 p.m. Sunday (May 30, 2004), in Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville.
She was born Feb. 3, 1912, in London Mills, the daughter of Durward and Nellie McCoy Jones.
She married Edward Johnson on Dec. 24, 1932. He died May 30, 1934. She later married Wendell Owens on April 9, 1944, in London Mills. He died Dec. 16, 1993.
Surviving are a son, Jon (and Norma) Owens, Renton, Wash.; a daughter, Ardith Platt, London Mills; a sister, Maxine Gustafson, Galesburg; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a graduate of London Mills High School in 1929.
She lived all of her life and helped her husband farm in the London Mills community.
She was a member of London Mills United Methodist Church and London Mills Woman's Club.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at London Mills United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Simpson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in East Midway Cemetery, London Mills. Corman Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

DALLAS - Jay Walter Pacey, 45, Dallas, formerly of Galesburg, died Thursday (May 29, 2003) in Dallas.
He was born November 10, 1957, in Frankfort, Germany, the son of John and Rebecca Pacey.
Surviving are his father of Oak Run; two brothers, Craig Pacey, Fayetteville, N.C., and Kris (and Tina) Pacey, Bakersfield, Calif., and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1975 and attended Illinois State University.
He lived in Dallas since 1977.
He worked as a self-employed designer and installer of home entertainment systems and media rooms.
Cremation was accorded. Services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel, the Rev. Tom Ek officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to any charity.

LONDON MILLS - Henry Jacob Park, 80, 203 N. First St., died at 9:03 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 6, 2003) at home.
He was born Nov. 18, 1923, in Ridgway, Pa., the son of Calvin and Catherine Steis Park.
He married Gerry Murphy on Nov. 30, 1946, in Peoria. She preceded him in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Cathy (and Jim) Snyder, London Mills; two brothers, Clair Park, Pekin, and John Park, Cain, Pa.; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
He was born and reared in Ridgway.
He worked for Illinois Bell for 32 years and operated Oahe Marine in Peirce, S.D. He was an outfitter until 2003.
He served in the Army during World War II.
There will be no service or visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at a later date. Corman Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

CANTON - Laura "Marcy" Phipps SFC USA Ret., 84, 1100 W. Locust St., died at 6:35 p.m. Sunday (May 30, 2004), in Sunset Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 6, 1919, in Canton, the daughter of Robert W. and Ina Stookey Phipps.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
She served in the Womens Army Corps for 20 years in the World War II era.
She was a member of the Womens Army Corps Veteran Association and the American Legion Post 644 in Fairview. She also served as a volunteer at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria for 12 years.
Cremation has been accorded. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fairview Reformed Church, with the Revs. Kenneth Bloyd and Sue Roat officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 644. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

GALESBURG - Jerome "Jerry" George Razbadouski, 67, Galesburg, died at 7 p.m. Monday (April 12, 2004) at home.
He was born June 29, 1936, in Chicago, the son of Stanley and Mary Shevokas Razbadouski.
He married Mary Lou Rusch on March 19, 1955, in Chicago. She died in 1985. He married Barbara Shoptaw on Nov. 16, 1988, in Missouri.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Lawrence Razbadouski, Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Susan Razbadouski, Rockford, Janet (and Paul Street) Razbadouski, Chicago, and Dr. Linda (and Joseph Gierut) Razbadouski, Winnebago; a brother, Clarence Razbadouski, Lakeland, Fla.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Laura Lou Razbadouski, and a brother.
He graduated from Jones Commercial High School in 1954.
He worked as store manager at Stevens Bedding and Furniture in Bridgeview for 15 years, retiring in 1975. He was a personal investor the last 30 years.
He was a member of the Noon Kiwanis Club and the Galesburg Youth Athletic Club.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in East Main Congregational Church, with the Rev. Robin Faull officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to East Main Congregational Church or the Knox County Humane Society.

ALEDO - George A. Pruett, 35, Aledo, died Saturday (May 29, 2004), at home after battling melanoma.
He was born Dec. 1, 1968, in Rock Island, the son of Samuel and Marilyn McDonald Pruett.
Surviving are his mother, Marilyn Pruett, Aledo; two sisters, Shellee Nylin Nesbitt, Rock Island, and Lisa (and Kenny) Clawson, Aledo; two brothers, John (and Jody) Nesbitt, Viola, and Jim (and Glenda) Pruett, Aledo; his grandmother, Ruby Pruett, Mountain View, Mo; seven nieces; four nephews; two great-nephews; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father.
He graduated from Aledo High School in 1986 and enlisted in the U. S. Army. He served from 1986 to 1991, was an M1 Abrahms Mechanic and on active duty for Operation Desert Storm from January to May in 1992.
He graduated from Western Illinois University in 1997 majoring in recreation, park and tourism.
He did his internship and continued his employment at the Amelia Island Plantation, Amelia Island, Fla., first managing the Wheels 'N Keels and later became assistant manager at the Beach Club Grill. He managed Cici's Pizza in Gainesville, Fla., before returning to Aledo where he was briefly employed at the Mercer County YMCA.
He was a member of the YMCA and e Mercer County VFW Post 1571.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery where graveside military services will be conducted.
A memorial fund has been established.
Roudebush, Glen J.

PEORIA - Glen Junior Roudebush, 66, 515 W. Northmoor Rd., died at 5 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 3, 2003), in Manor Care Health Systems, Peoria.
He was born May 1, 1937, in Canton, the son of Glen D. and Gertrude A. Lehman Roudebush.
He married Carol Ann Strassburger on Aug. 15, 1986, in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife; his mother, Gertrude A. Roudebush, Canton; one stepson, Ted Search, Evansville, Ind.; one brother, Gary Roudebush, Canton; and two sisters, Janet Stein, Canton, and Sharon Churchill, Pekin. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam, and was active in the Canton Army Reserves.
He worked through International Union of Operating Engineers Local 649 in Peoria.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was involved with the Boy Scouts District Staff; formerly active with the Canton Park District Sports program; active in PAWS in Peoria; and was a past board member of the Y.M.C.A.
Cremation has been accorded. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery, Canton. There will be no visitation. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home, Canton, is in charge of arrangements.
