GALESBURG - Agnes Webster, 98, formerly of 1823 Grand Ave., died at 2:20 a.m. Sunday (June 1, 2003) in Seminary Manor.
She was born Oct. 24, 1904, in Galesburg, the daughter of Henry and Bengta Trudson Sandberg.
She married Clarence R. Webster on Jan. 26, 1922, in Galesburg. He died June 7, 1970.
Surviving are three daughters, Gloria Bigelow, Tampa, Fla., Shirley Kennedy, Galesburg, and Kay (and Gary) Mercer, Neoga; three sons, Clarence Webster, Rodney Webster and Wayne (and Norma) Webster, all of Galesburg; 21 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ross, two grandsons, two sisters and four brothers.
She was reared and educated in Galesburg.
She did housework for many families in Galesburg.
She attended Covenant Church.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel, with the Rev. Thomas Ek officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family.

GALESBURG - Herbert L. Weedman, 74, 1715 Oriole Drive, died at 5:08 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 4, 2003), in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

GALESBURG - Odessa M. Weekly, 86, 445 Monmouth Blvd., died Friday (April 9, 2004) at home.
She was born April 9, 1917, in Garrett Grove, Ark., the daughter of Morgan and Virginia Crawford Turner.
She married Riley Crawford Sr. She married Milton Weekly.
Surviving are two sons, Riley Crawford Jr., Riverside, Calif., and Larry (and Kathleen) Crawford, Moline; a daughter, Dorothy Mitchell, Galesburg; two brothers, Nathaniel (and Rose) Turner Sr., Phoenix, Ariz., and D.J. Turner, Chicago; three sisters, Anorba Burnett and Ole Mae Cline, both of Brinkley, Ark., and Almeater (and Herbert) Little, Chicago; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
She worked in the food service department at Knox College for 22 years.
She was a member of Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lugene Finley Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery.

GRANGEVILLE, Idaho - Ted E. Wherry, 91, Grangeville, formerly of Aledo, died Thursday (May 29, 2003) at his daughter's home in Grangeville.
He was born January 7, 1912 in Letts, Iowa, the son of William and Manza Lord Wherry.
He married Lillian Malone on June 9, 1932, in Rock Island.
Surviving are his wife of Grangeville; two daughters, Carol Haffner, Abingdon, and Kathy Workman, Grangeville; four sons, Gary Wherry, Kenai, Alaska, Marvin Wherry, Cupertino, Calif., Stanley Wherry, Jenkintown, Penn., and Ken Wherry, Memphis, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bob, and three grandchildren.
He attended schools in Mercer County and Muscatine, Iowa.
He worked as a machinist at International Harvester Farmall Works in Rock Island for 32 years.
He lived in Mercer County for more than 60 years and moved to Idaho in 1996.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers.
Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Hamlet Community Cemetery, with the Rev. William Schlobohm officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo.
Memorials may made the American Cancer Society, Hamlet/Perryton Presbyterian Church or any charity.

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - Dorothy Anderson White, 76, Jacksonville, N.C., died Tuesday (April 13, 2004) in Sanford, N.C.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Jenkins, Sanford, and Margie Lee, Jacksonville, N.C.; a son, James White, Morris, Ill.; two sisters, Marilyn Messmore, Indian Head Park, Ill., and Shirley Messmore Minderhost, Kenmore, Wash.; four brothers, Henry L. Messmore Jr., Indian Head Park, Ill., Warren Messmore, Galesburg, Ill., Merton Messmore, Denton, Ill., and Gordon Messmore, Arthur, Ill.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James A. White, two brothers and two sisters.
She was raised on a farm north of Galesburg, graduated from Altona High School in 1944 and attended MacMurray College.
She worked at the Naval Training Base in Jacksonville, Ill.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Jacksonville, N.C., with the Rev. Hugh L. Mozingo III officiating. Visitation will be from from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial will be at Onslow Memorial Park.

ALGONQUIN - Susan C. Wiemer, 41, Algonquin, died Saturday (April 10, 2004).
She was born Aug. 10, 1962, in Monmouth, the daughter of Robert and Marilyn Blick Yarde.
Surviving are her parents of Monmouth; her husband, Robert Wiemer, Algonquin; a sister, Lynn Yarde, Woodridge; a brother, Craig (and Kelly) Yarde, Galesburg; a niece and a nephew.
She graduated from Bradley University with a degree in accounting.
She worked as an accountant in the Chicago area for 20 years.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Elgin.
Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Messiah Lutheran Church, Elgin, with the Rev. Patty Hewitt officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home, West Dundee, and from 10:30 a.m. until the service Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Fair View Cemetery, DeKalb.
Memorials may be made to her church or the American Diabetes Association.

AVON - Frederick J. "Jim" Wilson, 79, Avon, formerly of Bushnell, died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 3, 2003), in the Avon Nursing Home.
He was born May 3, 1924, in Bushnell, the son of James F. and Maude McDonald Wilson.
He married Patricia Glenn in Peoria. He later married June Van Order in November 1968 in Bushnell.
Surviving are one son, James F. Wilson; one daughter, Patricia Ann Wade, Peoria; a niece who was his caretaker, Diana Roberts; three grandchildren and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He retired from the Marine Corps after 19 years, and later worked for Bower Bearing in Macomb for 23 years.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bushnell Cemetery, with the Rev. Terry Broady officiating. There will be no visitation, but friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell.
Memorials may be made to the Avon Nursing Home.

DOWNERS GROVE - A celebration of life ceremony for Ann Zarn, 86, Downers Grove, who died Feb. 27, 2004, will be at 1 p.m. April 25 in American Legion Post 800, Downers Grove.
She married Ervin Zarn. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Ron Zarn, Knoxville; a brother, Ray Wildhagen, Park Falls, Wis.; a granddaughter and two nephews.

MONMOUTH - James R. Norman Jr., 41, 926 South 2nd St., died at 4:29 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 4, 2003), in Community Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 23, 1962, in Monmouth, the son of James R. and Dixie Abbot Norman.
He married Lori Ray on Nov. 27, 1985, in Burlington, Iowa.
Surviving are his father, James Robert (and Pat) Norman Sr., Oquawka; his mother, Dixie (and Dennis) Hetlet, Monmouth; one son, Alfred Norman, Monmouth; one daughter, Holly Norman, Monmouth; one brother, Jeffery (and Linda) Norman, Zion; two half brothers, Robbie Hetlet and Chad Hetlet, both of Zion; one stepbrother, James W. (and Karisa) Kobus, Oquawka; twin half sisters, Pattie and Pammi Norman, both of Oquawka; three stepsisters, Annette (and John Goodfleisch) Kobus, Austin, Texas, Eileen (and Richard) Salinas, Marble Falls, Texas, and Carolyn (and Ron) Kirby, Oquawka; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He was reared and educated in Monmouth where he attended local schools and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1980.
He was a self employed truck driver.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Turnbull Funeral Home, with the Revs. Robert Adams and James Epperson officiating. Friends may call Monday at the funeral home; family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Monmouth Cemetery.
A memorial fund is being established.
