Graveside services will be 10: 30 AM Monday January 29, 2001 in the Ontario Cemetery located in Ontario Township, Knox County IL, with Rev. Rick Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Monday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Family.
She was born on December 17, 2000 in Galesburg to Albert A. "Andy" and Amy Lynn (Weedman) Vallero, III.
She is survived by her parents; a brother, Bailey A., at home; a sister, Kaylin N., at home; grandparents-Albert & Susie Vallero of Galesburg, IL, Terry & Jenny Wulf of LaFayette IL; great grandparents, Aaron & Ella Snoke of LaFayette IL, John & Emma Bolander of Burlington IA; a great grandmother, Vicky Weedman of Galesburg IL; a great grandfather, Richard McCutcheon of Galesburg IL; a great great grandmother, Lucille Goodman of Jacksonville FL; four AUNTS; two uncles; five great aunts, and eight great uncles. A great grandfather, Wayne Weedman, preceded her in death.

Mr. John A. Sprinkle, 88, of 121 W. Simmons Street Galesburg IL, died at 1:21 AM Wednesday January 24, 2001 at Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg IL. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
He was born on December 29, 1912 in Galesburg to John and Pearl (Logue) Sprinkle. He married Florence Sandburg in Galesburg in 1934.
He worked as a spring winder for Rowe Manufacturing Company, Galesburg for 39 years, retiring in 1976. He lived in Galesburg most his life. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Moose Lodge, the former Eagle's Lodge, and Carpenter's Union. He served in the United States Army during peacetime.
He is survived by a daughter, Phyliss Anderson of Phoenix AZ; four sons, Dale Sprinkle of Normal IL, Larry Sprinkle of Hurst TX, Duane Sprinkle and Gerald Sprinkle both of Galesburg IL; two sisters, Pearl Groom and Florene Logan both of Winter Haven FL; a brother, Kenny Sprinkle of Leslie AR; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Erwin W. 'Rocky' Moeller, 82, of 1839 Robertson Avenue Galesburg, IL, died at 8:35 PM Sunday January 21, 2001 at the Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, IL. His funeral will be 1:30 PM Wednesday January 24, 2001 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Galesburg, with Rev. Joseph Cassady officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. The Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285 will give military honors. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the Church. Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Parking Lot Fund.
He was born on December 26, 1918 in Wilton Junction IA to Henry W. and Alma (Schwartz) Moeller. He married Marilea M. Mundell on November 4, 1945 in Wilton Junction. She survives.
He was the owner of Rocky's Maid-Rite Sandwich Shop in Galesburg for 30 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church where he was past president of Elders of the Church. He was also a member of the Galesburg Lions Club and the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received four Bronze Stars for his service in the Naples-Foggia, Tunisian, Rome-Arno, and North Apennines Campaigns.
He is survived by his wife, Marilea Moeller of Galesburg IL; two sons, Darryl Moeller of Houston TX and David Moeller of Spring TX; a daughter, Joni Moeller of Houston TX; two sisters, Alma Grunder of Stockton IA and Florence Moeller of Davenport IA; four grandchildren, David Moeller, Jr., Jonathon Moeller, Andrew Moeller and Lisa Moeller.

Mr. Russell Malcolm, 96, of 935 Dayton Drive Galesburg, IL, died at 4:15 PM Saturday January 20, 2001 at his home . Private family services will be held at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Daniel Siems officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
He was born on June 25, 1904 in Henry County IL to Claus and Eureka (Robertson) Malcolm. He married Alice McCreery in Galesburg. She preceded him in death on January 23, 1965. He then married Fern Grady Wilson in Galesburg. She preceded him in death on March 10, 1996.
He was a salesman for International Harvester for 34 years, retiring in 1968. He was a graduate of Galesburg High School and attended Lombard College in Galesburg. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Galesburg.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Templeton of Galesburg IL, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Maleta M. Nelson, 82, of 275 E. Carl Sandburg Dr. Galesburg, IL, died at 9:10 PM Friday January 19, 2001 at Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL. Graveside services will be 12:00 Noon Monday January 22, 2001 at Abingdon Cemetery with Rev. David Seitz officiating. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Unit at Marigold Health Care Center.
She was born on November 6, 1918 in Quincy IL to Harold and Lucy (Bonnett) Danniel. She married Charles T. Nelson in Fowler IL on October 20, 1956. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1981.
She was a registered nurse, working for Dr. Packard in Abingdon IL for 20 years, retiring in 1982. She graduated from Pittsfield High School and from Blessing Hospital School of Nursing in Quincy, IL. She had lived in the Abingdon and Galesburg areas. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Larson of Wilmington IL and Rose Lee of Henderson IL, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A brother and a grandson preceded her in death.

Mrs. D. June Lewis, 80, of 19 E. Tompkins Galesburg, IL, died at 3:50 AM Saturday January 20, 2001 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL. Memorial services will be 1:30 PM Tuesday January 23, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Jon Sibley, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Public Library or the Henry M. Seymour Library at Knox College.
She was born on June 18,1920 in Milwaukee WI to Walter and Grace J. (Reed) Simmons. She married Booker L. Jackson in Burlington IA in 1940. He preceded her in death. She then married Willie Lewis in Galesburg in 1942. He also preceded her in death.
She worked in the nursery and kindergarten at Knox College for 11 years. She later worked in the Knox College Book Store for 14 years. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1938. She was of Methodist faith.
She is survived by two sons, James Lewis of Lakeville MN and William Lewis of Galesburg IL; four daughters, Diane Richardson of Las Vegas NV, Sandra Gordon, Veronica "Ronnie" Peoples and Janet Peyton all of Galesburg IL; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Besides her husbands, a grandson, Jason Lewis, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Mildred L. McKiernan, 88, of 407 N. Hebard St. Knoxville, IL, died at 9:30 AM Friday January 19, 2001 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Knoxville, IL. Her funeral will be 1:30 PM Monday January 22, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. E. Paul Unger officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. Monday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
She was born on March 5, 1912 in Galesburg to Elmer L. and Minnie C. (Peterson) Haines. She married Myron McKiernan in Monmouth IL on September 14, 1930. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1976.
During WWII she worked as a building foreman at Elwood Ordnance Plant in Wilmington IL, she retired in 1954. She had lived in Joliet, IL, and then moved to Miami where she worked at Jordan Marsh Department Store for 10 years. She returned to Galesburg in 1976. She was a 1929 graduate of Galesburg High School and a member of First United Methodist Church, Galesburg.
She is survived by a sister, Frances Andre of Davenport IA, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Dr. Milo G. Reed, 89, of 311 E. Simmons Street Galesburg, IL, died at 7:58 PM Thursday January 18, 2001 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL. His funeral will be 10:00 AM Monday January 22, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday January 21, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born on September 20, 1911 in Canova SD to Elmer W. and Jessie L. (Gregg) Reed. He married Jane P. Gehrig in Des Moines IA on May 6, 1933. She preceded him in death on March 2, 1985.
He was a physician and surgeon from 1937 to 1986. He practiced in Galesburg from 1939 until his retirement in 1986. He graduated from high school in Des Moines, IA in 1929. He attended Drake University and graduated from the University of Iowa in 1937 as an MD. He attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Galesburg. He was a former member of Soangetaha Country Club and was past president of the Exchange Club, both in Galesburg. He was a member of the Knox County Medical Society and Illinois State Medical Society. He was a member of American Medical Association. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
He is survived by a son, John Reed of San Francisco CA; two daughters, Barbara Kostoff of Port Huron MI and Joan McFall of Independence MO; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Ms. Marjorie M. Yarde, 79, of 93 Country Elms Estate Galesburg, IL, died at 3:38 PM Wednesday January 17, 2001 at 93 Country Elms Estate, Galesburg IL. Prayer services will be 4:00 PM Sunday January 21, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Thomas Seibert officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday January 22 at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Marceline MO, with Rev. Marcus Bailey officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
She was born on November 3, 1921 in Marcelline MO to Frank and Mae (Barber) Guest. She had been married to William E. Yarde and Howard Johnson.
She was a beautician owning Marge's Salon in Galesburg for 30 years. She was then a sorority housemother at Kent State University, San Diego State University, University Of Nevada and Purdue University. She was currently working with Bradley University. She had lived in Galesburg for 50 years. A graduate of Little York High School, she lived in Galesburg for 50 years. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg.
She is survived by son, Charles Yarde of Newcastle CA; a sister, Ramona Henderson of Kennewick WA, a granddaughter, Melissa Yarde of San Jose CA; three nieces, Teri Tucker and Kelly Brown, both of Paterson WA and Lori Millbauer of Enumclaw WA.

Mr. Bernard W. Lyons, 80, of 408 N. Henderson Rd. Alexis, IL, died at 9:55 AM Thursday January 18, 2001 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL. His funeral will be 11:30 AM Saturday January 20, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Dave Dennis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Saturday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Alexis School Foundation or to a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
He was born on August 12, 1920 in Galesburg to Stanley C. and Mae Elizabeth (Coziahr) Lyons. He married Frances R. Hunt in Reno NV on March 21, 1943. She survives.
He farmed in the North Henderson and Rio Areas for 44 years retiring in 1990. He had lived in the Rio and Alexis areas his entire life. He graduated from Rio High School in 1937 and from Oneida High School in 1938. He was a member of Rio Presbyterian Church, James Harvey Scott American Legion Post #189, former member of North Henderson Lions Club and a member of Alexis Ag Alumni Association. He was an Alexis High School FFA Honorary Chapter Farmer. He was a staff sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, serving in Africa and Italy.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Lyons of Alexis IL; two daughters, Karen Johnson of Media PA and Liana Terwilliger of Alexis IL; a son, Barry Lyons of Dayton OH; a brother, Stanley Lyons of Galesburg IL; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Mr. William Robert Babbitt, 59, of 566 E. South Street Galesburg, IL, died at 4:00 AM Monday January 15, 2001 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL. His funeral will be 1:00 PM Friday January 19, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. E. Paul Unger officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday January 18, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Rescue Mission or the American Cancer Society.
He was born on November 5, 1941 in Galesburg to Marcel Ray and Nina Eileen (Avery) Babbitt. He married Glendora Piimauna in Hawaii. He then married Phyllis Lutrell in Galesburg.
He was an engineer for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 37 years. He retired January 7, 2001. He had lived in Galesburg most of his life. He was a graduate of Galesburg High School. He was of Methodist faith. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and an 8-year member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He was a United States Navy Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War and during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He is survived by four sons, Jeff Babbitt and Michael Babbitt, both of San Diego CA and Timothy Babbitt of East Galesburg IL and William Babbitt of Honolulu HI; a stepbrother, David Guenther of Galesburg IL; Grandmother, Lennie Avery of Galesburg IL; five grandchildren and a special friend who cared for him, Barbara Wright of Galesburg IL. His parents and his stepmother Margaret Babbitt preceded him in death.

Mrs. F. Marie Hansen, 70, of 573 N. Soangetaha Rd. Galesburg, IL, died at 10:55 AM Monday January 15, 2001at her home. Her funeral will be 11:00 AM Friday January 19, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Mike VanAcker officiating. Burial will be in at a later date. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to OSF St. Marys Hospice, OSF St. Marys Auxiliary or to a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Hansen of Galesburg IL; a son, David Hansen of Reed City MI; a daughter, Shari Hansen of St. Marys OH; a brother, Calvin Johnson of Taylor Falls MN; a sister, Adeline O'Neil of Portland OR and one grandchild.
She was born on July 15, 1930 in Clam Falls WI to Carl and Lillian (Williamson) Johnson. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Hansen in Frederic WI on June 28, 1952. He survives.
She was a member of the Amondata Club, the PWO Chapter AN, the Soangetaha Country Club and its golf league and several bridge clubs.

Mr. Marion Irvin Goedeke, 83, of 662 Day Street Galesburg, IL, died at 8:40 AM Tuesday January 16, 2001 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. His funeral will be 3:00 PM Friday January 19, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday January 18, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Rescue Mission or the Faith United Methodist Church.
He was born on January 12, 1918 in Douglas IL to Wilhelm and Pearl (Dalton) Goedeke. He married Bernice Iretta Roate on December 21, 1937 in Galesburg. She survives.
During the Great Depression he worked for the Works Progress Administration (WPA) who were responsible for laying the brick streets in Galesburg, he then was an assistant golf pro at Bunker Links Golf Course in Galesburg. He later worked in the paint department at Butler Manufacturing Co., and then was a sales clerk at Midwest Beauty Supply. He was head shipping clerk at Dick Blick for 32 years, retiring in 1987. He had lived in Galesburg most of his life. He was of Methodist faith. He was a member of OMC Retirees Club. While working at Butler Manufacturing Company, he had played on the company baseball team.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Goedeke of Galesburg, IL; two sons, David Goedeke and William Goedeke, both of Galesburg IL; a daughter, JoAnn Harpman of Galesburg, IL; a sister, Bertha Clark of Galesburg IL; six grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. His parents, five brothers, a grandson, and a great grandson preceded him in death.
