She was born on June 25, 1928 in Jefferson City MO to Casimero and Tomasa (Garcia) Sierra. She married John Garcia in Davenport IA in 1945. He survives. She was the owner of Casa Sierra Restaurant. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church in Galesburg.
She is survived by her husband, John Garcia of Galesburg, IL; a daughter, Gloria Broadhurst of Peoria, IL; a son, John Garcia, Jr. of Galesburg, IL; six sisters, Mary Ambriz of Rock Falls, IL, Julie Cervantez of Galesburg, IL, Patricia Garza of Galesburg, IL, Rafaela Gomez of Addison, IL, Juanita Romero of Turlock, CA and Pauline Sandoval of East Moline, IL; a brother, George Sierra of Wataga, IL; 50 nieces and nephews and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Zelma Bloomfield Melton Lowery, 88, of 280 E. Losey St. Galesburg, IL, died at 10:37 AM Wednesday May 30, 2001 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL. Her funeral will be 10:00 AM Monday June 4, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Mrs. Marilyn Anell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
She was born on November 12, 1912 in Lewistown IL to Edwin and Ruth Ann (Wileman) Parkinson. She married Willard E. Bloomfield, then Clair Melton, and then Rev. Thomas Lowery. All preceded her in death.
She taught briefly in Wataga IL then worked at Cottage Hospital as Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring in 1982. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School and attended Western Illinois University in Macomb. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and its Loyal Fellowship Class. She also belonged to the Galesburg Woman's Club and was a board member with the A.A.R.P.
She is survived by two sons, Max Bloomfield of Snowflake, AZ and Merrill Bloomfield of Springfield, MO; two daughters, Shirley Adams and Peggy Magnuson, both of Galesburg, IL; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Mr. Harold R. Crouch, 90, of 1525 East Fifth Street Galesburg, IL, died at 6:05 PM Wednesday July 25, 2001 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL. His funeral will be 10:00 AM Tuesday July 25, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Robert Malone and Rev. Clifford DePrenger officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday July 24, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Calvary Assembly of God Church.
He was born on September 23, 1910 in Knoxville IL to George O. and Druzilla V. (Westfall) Crouch. He married Clara L. Pople in Galesburg on May 23, 1936. She preceded him in death on August 10, 1977. He was an inspector with Maytag-Galesburg Refrigeration Products for 35 years, retiring in 1975. He was a graduate of Knoxville High School and a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, Galesburg, IL.
He is survived by two daughters, Wanda Brooks of Galesburg, IL and Carol Chronister of Pottstown, PA, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter and ten brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Evelyn R. Reed, 87, of 550 E. Carl Sandburg Dr. Galesburg, IL, died at 9:00 PM Monday July 30, 2001 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL. Private family services will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell FL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
She was born on September 7, 1913 in Chicago IL to Michael and Praxeda (Nowaczyk) Nowakowski. She married Alvin James Reed in Chicago on February 10, 1934. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1995.
She is survived by two son, James Reed of Toledo, OH and Robert Reed of Galesburg, IL and five grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death.

Mr. Gerald 'Jerry' Martin, 75, of 255 W. Tompkins St. Galesburg, IL, died at 2:31 AM Friday July 27, 2001 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL. His funeral will be 2:00 PM Tuesday July 31, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Tom Larsen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was born on December 8, 1925 in Monmouth IL to Arthur and Eufrosine (Franzen) Martin. He married Donna Sperry in Monmouth on February 26, 1950.
He farmed for 10 years. He then worked for the Moorman Company in direct sales to livestock producers for 12 years. He then was the supervisor of recycling for KCCDD for 6 years. He retired in 1991. He graduated from Monmouth High School in 1943. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Galesburg, IL.
He is survived by a son, Kirby Martin of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Pamela Wildermuth of Galesburg, IL; a sister, Evelyn Arentz of San Diego, CA; two brothers, Ralph Martin and Robert Martin, both of Monmouth, IL; a foster son, Ralph Ludington of Panhandle, TX; two grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Mrs. Brenda C. Lee, 50, of Alexis, IL, died at 7:20 PM Wednesday July 25, 2001 at her home. Graveside services will be 12:30 PM Monday July 30. 2001 at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg, with Rev. Thomas Ek officiating. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born on March 15, 1951 in Galesburg to Robert and Velma (Ewing) Mavis. She married Jamie G. Lee in Springfield MO on February 25, 1984. He survives.
She is survived by her husband, Jamie Lee of Alexis, IL; two sons, Hilario Ortega of Alexis, IL and Steven Penrod of Springfield, OH; three daughters, Amber Ingall and Autumn Lee, both of Alexis, IL and Crystal Ortega-Norman of Las Cruces, NM; a brother, Robert Mavis, Jr. of OR; a sister, Lisa Shipp of Galesburg, IL and eight grandchildren. A son, Carl "Kike" Lux, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Elveree M. Ehlen, 80, of 275 E. Carl Sandburg Drive Galesburg, IL, died at 8:33 AM Wednesday July 25, 2001 at Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL. Memorial services will be 5 :00 PM Sunday July 29, 2001 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Steve Meacham officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Timewell. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Foundation.
She was born on February 3, 1921 in Timewell IL to Frank N. and Catherine M. (Thomas) Allen. She married Ralph Emerson Clark in Galesburg in 1946. She then married LeRoy Long in 1948 and William Ehlen in 1971. All preceded her in death.
She worked in the Dietary Department of Galesburg Cottage Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1983. She was raised in Timewell, IL before moving to Galesburg in 1939. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Galesburg IL. She enjoyed fishing and traveled to almost every state in the Continental United States. She loved birds.
She is survived by four sons, Larry Emerson Clark of Freemont, WI, Ralph Clark of Sumerset, CA, Gail Long of Galesburg, IL and Gerald Long of IL; two daughters, Bonnie Burnett of Lake Hughes, CA and Debbie Long of MT; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A sister preceded her in death.

Mr. Norman P. "Stormy" Weatherford, 83, of 147 Hawkinson Avenue Galesburg, IL, died at 9:45 AM Tuesday July 24, 2001 at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg, IL. Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Friday July 27, 2001 at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg, with Rev. Milton Marquith officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday July 26, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
He was born on July 16, 1918 in Mt. Vernon IL to Norman and Cecile (Ingram) Weatherford. He married Nellie V. Anderson in Galesburg on August 20, 1957. She survives.
He worked as a baker for the Lucky Boy Bakery. He also worked in the toolcrib for Illinois Power Company for 25 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285, the Elks Lodge #894, and the Moose Lodge #880. He was a lifetime member of the J.W. Clendonin V.F.W. Post #2301 in Monmouth IL. He served in the Army during World War II earning five Bronze Stars.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Weatherford of Galesburg, IL and a sister-in-law, Erma Weatherford of AZ. A brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Clarence W. 'Bus' Spilman, 85, of 970 Hawkinson Avenue Galesburg, IL, died at 6:06 AM Tuesday July 24, 2001 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, IL. His funeral will be 10:00 AM Friday July 27, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Mrs. Marilyn Anell officiating. Burial will be in Maquon Cemetery, Maquon. Visitation will be from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday July 26, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Shriners Childrens' Hospital.
He was born on June 25, 1916 in Maquon IL to William J. and Margie (Teagarden) Spilman. He married Wilma G. Scannell in Kahoka MO on June 8, 1940. She preceded him in death on July 29, 2000.
He worked as an electrician for 37 years for many local contractors. He worked the last 12 years for the State of Illinois as an Electrician. He was the manager at Mary Allen West Towers for 8 years, retiring in 1985. He lived in Galesburg most his life. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. He was a 50-year member and Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a 50-year member and Past Master of the Vesper Masonic Lodge. He was a 50-year member of the Moline Consistory. He was a member of the Mohamed Shrine; he was a member and Past Commander of the American Legion Post #1099 in Maquon. He was a 50-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Peoria, IL. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Civilian Conservation Corp for 2 years. He was a member of the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285.
He is survived by a son, William E. Spilman of Galesburg, IL, a sister, Vivian Brown of Galesburg, IL, a brother, George Spilman of FL, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Todd A. Albright, 20, of 997 Florence Ave. Galesburg, IL, died at 8:00 PM Friday at home. His funeral will be 11:30 AM Monday July 23, 2001 at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Johnson and Rev. Frederick Larner officiating. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church.
He was born on January 19, 1981 in Galesburg to Jerry L. and Marlana (Marquith) Albright.
He was a cell phone tower builder and installer throughout the Midwest. He graduated from Galesburg Senior High School in 1999 where he played football and was a pole vaulter for the track team. He attended Carl Sandburg College. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Galesburg.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Marlana Albright of Galesburg, IL; two grandmothers, June Albright and Marian Krohn, both of Galesburg, IL; a sister, Jane Albright of Chicago, IL; a brother, Michael Albright of Spring Valley, IL; three aunts and uncles and cousins. Both grandfathers preceded him in death.

Mrs. Jemima V. Fuller, 95, of 800 N. Market Street Knoxville, IL, died at 4:17 PM Thursday July 19, 2001 at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, IL. Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Monday July 23, 2001 at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
She was born on August 11, 1905 in Galesburg to William and Susie Kimmet. She married George Poole and then Donald Fuller. Both preceded her in death.
She worked as a cashier at Park Drive dairy for 20 years. She was a Crossing Guard at the corner of Day and South St. She was a member of the Moose Lodge 880, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Royal Neighbors, I.O.O.F. Ladies Encampment Auxiliary, and the Odd Fellows and Rebeccas.
She is survived by a son, Donald Fuller, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. Two sons, a daughter and a sister preceded her in death.

Mr. Robert J. Galloway, 79, of 1147 S. Chambers Street Galesburg, IL, died at 6:07 AM Thursday July 19, 2001 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL. His funeral will be 10:0 AM Monday July 23, 2001 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Ray Cameron officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. Sunday July 22, 2001 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of America.
He was born on December 20, 1921 in Galesburg to Blaine and Lillian (Bauguess) Galloway. He married Betty June Thompson in Kahoka MO on December 27, 1941. She preceded him in death on April 4, 1996. He was an ironworker working out of the Rock Island Local #111 for 50 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the First Christian Church, the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285, the Good Sams Camping Club and the Knox County Sportsman's Club. He served in the Army during World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Rod Galloway and Ronald Galloway both of Galesburg, IL, a daughter, Patricia Moger of Galesburg, IL and two grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.

Mrs. Inez M. Jacobs, 88, of 121 W. Simmons St. Galesburg, IL, died at 1:22 PM Wednesday July 18, 2001 at Morning Sun Care Center, Morning Sun, IA. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday July 21, 2001 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg, with Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating. Memorials may be made to Mary Allen West Towers Craft Room.
She was born on February 3, 1913 in Liberty IL to John and Cecil (Waterhouse) Lefferinghouse. She married David M. Jacobs in Quincy IL on May 11, 1930. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1959.
She was a homemaker. She worked for Butler Manufacturing and Gale Products during World War II. She was a member of the Christian Church.
She is survived by two sons, David Jacobs of Mediapolis, IA and Robert Jacobs of Galesburg, IL; a daughter, Alice Kistler of Belleville, IL; two sisters, Reva Aleshire of Moberly, MO and Faye Flynn of Belleville, IL; two brothers, Charles Lefferinghouse of AR and Everett Lefferinghouse of Camp Point, IL; eleven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren. Three brothers, a grandson and a step-grandson preceded her in death.
