Jane Mohr, 83, of Terre Haute, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1933, in Macomb, the daughter of Lowell and Etta Gustafson Butler.
On April 10, 1955, she married
Lowell Mohr in LaHarpe.
Local survivors include her husband, Lowell; one daughter, Annetta (Rowen) Ziegler of LaHarpe; one son, James (Joan) Mohr of LaHarpe; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gary (Sherry) Butler of LaHarpe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marion and David Butler.
The funeral service is at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017, at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe.
Burial is in the Terre Haute cemetery.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017, at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established for the Terre Haute United Methodist Church or Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab.
William A “Bill” Linnenburger
May 9, 1935 - May 4, 2017
William A “Bill” Linnenburger passed away May 4, 2017.
He was born May 9, 1935, in Quincy, the son of Elmer and Edith (Keiran) Linnenburger.
He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1953. Bill was a Navy veteran and proud to serve on the U.S.S. Henley (a tin can sailor). He spent most of his life as a printer in Phoenix, Ariz.
Bill was an avid runner. He ran in many marathons plus down and up the Grand Canyon. He loved auto racing and worked on a pit crew at Manzanita Speedway.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dixie (Kaler) Linnenburger; two sons, Bill (Marcy), and Sam (Rona) Linnenburger; and two daughters, Gina (Kenny) Corrington and Holly Heep; one brother, Bob (Lavonne) Linnenburger; nine grand children; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step dad Bill Huston and step sister Dorothy Hand.
Bill had a large visitation the last couple weeks of his life in lieu of a funeral.
Marion F. “Bud” Anderson
February 19, 1924 - May 16, 2017
Marion F. “Bud” Anderson, 93, of Nauvoo, passed away at 7:54 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Fort Madison, Iowa, Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 19, 1924, in Erwin, N.Y., he was the son of Charles and Viola (Pollard) Anderson.
On June 13, 1948, he married
K. Nadine Buckert at the Nauvoo United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on Oct. 19, 1999.
He was a member of the Nauvoo United Methodist Church and also attended the Nauvoo Presbyterian Church. He was a 71-year member of the Nauvoo American Legion and the VFW.
He also served on the Nauvoo Fire Department for many years as Captain.
He attended grade school in Niota. Bud was a 1942 graduate of Nauvoo High School where he played the cornet. He also played basketball and softball. He played on the Nauvoo and Niota fast pitch softball teams where he pitched a no-hit and no-run game.
Bud was a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran, serving in the European Theatre. He was in the third wave to cross Europe. He was a recipient of a Quilt of Valor in July of 2016. He worked for many years as a carpenter in the Nauvoo area, building several homes, including his own. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners for more than 50 years, and he retired in 1982. Bud enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, bowling, golfing, and going on the evening Deer Run to enjoy local wildlife.
Survivors include four children, Charles “Chuck” (Sharon) Anderson of Hamilton, Kathryn “Kathy” (Paul) Fish of Normal, Mark (Camille) Anderson of Nauvoo, and David Anderson of Fort Madison; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nadine; one son, John in 2007; special friend, MaryAnn Reed; two sisters, Louise Lum and Vivian Vance Lyon; and one brother, George Anderson.
His body has been entrusted to Schmitz Funeral Home for cremation.
Friends called May 23, 2017, at the Nauvoo United Methodist Church where family met with friends.
A Celebration of Life was May 24, 2017 at the Nauvoo United Methodist Church with his son, the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.
Burial with full military rites by Nauvoo American Legion Post #711 was at the Nauvoo City cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Nauvoo United Methodist Church, Nauvoo Presbyterian Church, or Nauvoo Fire and Rescue.

Audine (Lubker) Wollbrink Jung
December 30, 1933 - May 28, 2017
Audine (Lubker) Wollbrink Jung, 83, of Bowen passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Audine was born on Dec. 30, 1933, during a very cold and blustery snow at home Southeast of Lima, weighing only 2 ˝ pounds. She was the daughter of the late Sidney and Alta (Eshom) Lubker.
She attended a one room school (Victory Dist.48) for seven years going to Lima for eitgth grade. She attended her freshman year at Hamilton High School and graduated in 1951 from Unity High School in Mendon.
Audine was the first Homecoming Queen at Unity. She alsowas Adams County Rural Youth Queen in 1954. After High School, she started work at the State Bank of Lima.
Audine married
Dale Wollbrink on Jan. 8, 1955, in the Lima Federated Church in Lima. They lived in Lima and to this union was born Tyrella, Trudy and Travis Wollbrink. Trudy passed away at seven days old. Dale passed away on Nov. 9, 1960, in a tragic tractor accident on their farm Southeast of Lima.
Audine married
Gerhard Jung on June 27, 1962 in the Mendon Lutheran Church and they moved to Sharpsburg, which is South of Springfield.
Gerhard started teaching at Edinburg High School. They had two children, Tyler and Trenda. They later moved to Bowen.
Gerhard and Audine celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen. They were looking forward to their 55th anniversary in late June of this year
Audine was Lima Township Assessor, wool buyer and worked for Thornton Apple Orchard, picking 100 bushels of apples a day. After moving to Bowen, she became a very community mined person. She was instrumental in getting senior citizen housing in Hancock County, seeing units being built in Bowen, Augusta, LaHarpe, Nauvoo and Hamilton.
She has served on the Hancock County Housing Authority Board since 1981. She was a member of MYN Club, Home Extension, Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen, Augusta Women’s Club, Augusta Lions Club and a member of the Adams County Farm Bureau. She was known for sending cards for every occasion to family, friends and community in general.
Surviving are Gerhard; children, Tyrella (Dennis) Sherrick of Bowen, Travis (Donna) Wollbrink of Geneseo, Tyler Jung of rural Lima, Trenda Jung of Quincy; seven grandchildren, Brittany (Chad) Bruenning of Mendon, Brianne (David) Walker of Camp Point, Brayden (Liz) Sherrick of Minooka, Justin Wollbrink of Quincy, Jordan (Tristin) Wollbrink of Glen Carbon, Jared Jung of Loraine, Jacob Jung of Loraine; four great-grandchildren, Audrey and Amelia Bruenning and Colin and Evan Walker; siblings, Vern (Dianne) Lubker of Quincy, Florence Martens of Carthage on Theresa (Kent) Harness of Lima; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017, in the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen with the Revs. David Bigley and Jerry and Patsy Spratt officiaiting.
She will be laid to rest in New Providence cemetery near Ursa.
Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017, in the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to South Eastern Food Pantry or New Providence cemetery Association.
The Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Clarice Ann “Annie” Johnson

Clarice Ann “Annie” Johnson passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Her family will host a celebration of Annie’s life from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the former United Methodist Church, 102 East 2nd Street, Plymouth.
A light luncheon will be served.
Larry Lee Lovell
December 26, 1948 - May 30, 2017
Larry Lee Lovell, 68, of Dahinda, peacefully passed away at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at home with his family by his side.
Larry was born Dec. 26, 1948, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of William and Evelyn (Franks) Lovell.
He was a graduate of Bowen High School and Western Illinois University. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Larry also served as a Fire Fighter for 23 years with the 16 House in Peoria.
He married
Paulette Lowe on Aug. 4, 1984, in Peoria.
He was a member of the Peoria VFW, and loved golfing and fishing. He was a beloved husband, brother and uncle.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Paulette Lovell of Dahinda; step-son, Jay Decker of Edwards; step-grandson, Thomas Reynolds of Columbia, Mo.; sister, Cindy Lovell of Basco; brother, Jack (Rhonda) Lovell of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn Lovell, and his brother, Michael Lovell.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the Oaks Community Church in rural Dahinda.
The memorial service will directly follow the visitation at noon with the Rev. Marty Briney officiating.
The Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville is assisting the family.

James G. McQueen
Died June 2, 2017
James McQueen, 79 of Warsaw, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017, at the University of Iowa Veteran’s Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
He was born on March 15, 1938, in Hannibal, Mo., a son of James and Geraldine Hively McQueen.
James married
Blanche Smith on Jan. 27, 1972 in Hannibal. She preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 2016.
Local survivors include a son, Jeremiah (Cathy) McQueen of Warsaw; two daughters, Brandy (Dennis) Boley of Keokuk, Iowa, and Lori McQueen of Lima; and a step-son, Steven (Kim) Bramblett of Hannibal.
James was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bradley Bramblett; and a brother, Joseph Neal.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
No service or visitation will be held James’ family appreciates friends and family for their thoughts and prayers.

Raymond C. Boston
December 7, 1923 - April 3, 2017
Raymond C. Boston, 93, of Burnside, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
Raymond was born Dec. 7, 1923, the son of Ray H. and Viola (Myers) Boston, at his grandparent’s home on Boston Lane (South Washington Street) in Carthage.
He graduated from Colusa High School in 1941. In 1944 he joined the U.S. Navy and attended Purdue University. He served during WWII in the Admiralty Islands, and received his Honorable Discharge in 1946.
On June 16, 1946, he was united in marriage to Lydia Johanna “Jo” Huntley at the Methodist Church in Nauvoo. Later, they built their own home near Burnside.
Raymond was a life-long farmer and had lived in the Burnside area since 1950. He was a member of the Burnside United Methodist Church and was a certified Lay Speaker. Raymond served on both the Jubilee and Ferris School Boards and was also a member of the Hancock County Farm Bureau Board for many years. He and Jo enjoyed traveling and had visited almost every state in The Union. They also traveled to Israel and Greece. From his time in the Navy and later travels Raymond was fond of saying that he “had gone under, over, and across the Golden Gate Bridge.”
In later years Raymond restored antique Oliver tractors, including the original Oliver 70 tractor that he bought at the start of his farming career.
Raymond is survived by four children, Arlynn (Eugene) Hitz of Dallas City, Randy (Sheryl) Boston of Burnside, Marian (Gary Matson) Boston of Edwardsville and Ryan (Dawn) Boston of Carthage; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister, Margie Boston of Rolla, Mo.; a brother, Larry (Jane) Boston of Livermore, Calif.; and two brothers-in-law, David Gnann of Nauvoo and Charles Smith of Russiaville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lydia “Jo”; a daughter, Leah; and three sisters, Shirley Gnann, Marilyn Morris and Bettie Merritt.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with burial to follow in Pilot Grove cemetery near Burnside.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

J. Don Holmes
November 21, 1930 - March 29, 2017
J. Don Holmes, 86, of Augusta, died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at his home near Augusta.
He was born on Nov. 21, 1930, in Quincy, to Claude and Helen Johnston Holmes. He married
Donna Barrett Wood on July 3, 1976 in Macomb. She survives.
Don was a longtime farmer in Augusta and also was the co-owner of Holmes Equipment Company in Augusta for 54 years. He was a 1948 graduate of Quincy High School and attended Gem City Business College in Quincy. Don was an active member of the Bowen Christian Church and was instrumental with the planning and construction of the new church building in 2001. He was a life member of Denver Lodge No. 0464 AF & AM.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Alan (Nancy) Holmes of Sebring, Fla., and Ray (Janice) Holmes of Clayton; a daughter, Jill (Raymond) Steiger of St. Louis, Mo.; a step-son, Phillip Wood of West Point; a step-daughter, Cindy (Brad Cludray) Twidwell of Plymouth; 11 grandchildren, Alana Murphy, Ross Holmes, Grant, Brock and Sadie Steiger, Jacquelyn Haschemeyer, Nicole Huppe, Brandon, Brett and Brittany Twidwell and Bryer Cludray; six great-grandsons; three brothers-in-law, Lee Robertson, Kermit (Janet) Barrett and Carl (Ruth) Barrett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jan Holmes; two brothers, Max and Rex Holmes; a sister, Lydia Robertson; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Holmes.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, at the Bowen Christian Church in Bowen, by the Rev. SoeBeck Song.
Private family burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery in Augusta.
Visitation was from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the Bowen Christian Church.
