Michael Lynn Banks, 58, of rural Kewanee, Il. died at 9:46 A.M. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at his home.
Mike was born May 25, 1957 in St. Charles, Mo. the son of Lynn T. and Mary L. (Boardman) Banks. The family moved to Kewanee in August of 1957. Mike graduated from Wethersfield High School with the Class of 1975. He married
Colleen DeReu. They were later divorced.
Surviving is a daughter Harmony (Kevin) Green of Bowling Green, Ky., a granddaughter Madiliene Kate Green, his parents Lynn and Mary Banks of Kewanee and one brother Patrick Banks of Dixon, Il. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Mike farmed with his father. He was a member of the Stark County Farm Bureau and had attended the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kewanee. He enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting and fishing.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Fr. Johndamaseni Zilimu will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet cemetery, Kewanee. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Abilities Plus.

Helen Peach, of Kewanee, Il. passed from this life into the arms of her loving Savior at 10:00 P.M. Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Kewanee Care Home. Helen was the daughter of Lawrence and Louise (Griesmer) Lord. She attended Evergreen Grade School and Bradford High School.
Helen married
Dean Peach on February 21, 1959 in Kewanee. He survives along with two sons C.G. (Bonnie) Fifield of Newark, Il., Sam (Gina) Peach of Neponset, Il., son-in-law Harry Pierson of Eureka, Il., six grandchildren Jim Fifield, of Somonauk, Il., Julie Fifield, of Montgomery, Il. Ashley Peach of Kewanee, Chase Peach of Neponset, Drew Pierson of Princeton, Il. Dianne (Dan) Scott of Toluca, Il., three great grandchildren Grace and Gabi Fifield of Sandwich, Il. and Ian Scott of Toluca, Il.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Margo Pierson, three brothers and six sisters.
Helen was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kewanee. Helen will be remembered for her love of spending time visiting and laughing with family, quilting and volunteering. Helen was a member of a quilting club and made quilts by hand for all her children and grandchildren. She volunteered at the former Leisure Hills now Royal Oaks Care Home. Helen was a member of the Flemish American Club where she and Dean enjoyed dancing.
The family wants to thank Kewanee Care Home for all the wonderful care they gave Helen.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Rev. Paul Copeland will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens, rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Kewanee or Kewanee Care Nursing Home.

Dorotheal Ellen "Dorothy" Snider, 89, of Kewanee, Il. died at 12:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at her home. Dorothy was born December 4, 1926 in Kewanee, Il. the daughter of Norman and Mabell (Bain) Teece. She was reared and educated in Kewanee. Dorothy married
Clyde Dean Snider on May 22, 1949 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Kewanee. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Ruth Ann in infancy, two brothers Bob Frasier and Lee Teece and three sisters Ruth Vandemark, Marylou Weston and Betty Stromberg.
Surviving are two sons Ed (Darlene) Snider of Sherwood, Or., Brad (Tina) Snider of Geneseo, Il., one daughter Marylee (Bob) Bickhaus of Kewanee, Il. six grandchildren Christine (Clint) Mooney, Cherie Hamann, Kendra and Payton Snider, Christopher (Jennifer) Bickhaus, Kimberly (Joe) Baxa, five great grandchildren Alex, Cheyanne, Taylor, Wyatt and Grace, one brother Don (Ginger) Teece of Bremerton, Wa., one sister Lillian Berlin of Hudson, Fl., two brothers-in-law Jim Weston and Don (Nancy) Snider of Kewanee, nieces and nephews.
Dorothy had been employed at Kewanee Works Walworth Co., Turners Laundromat, C and M Market and retired from Super Valu. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Kewanee, Rebekah Lodge, served as a Girl Scout leader and was a room mother in her children's school. Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and baking. Dorothy loved working at the former Bakersville Halloween Drive at Baker Park. She been awarded the Kewanee Park District "Friends of the Children". She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Kewanee. Fr. Thomas Stone will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant View cemetery, Kewanee, Il. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Memorials may be directed to St. John's Episcopal Church or the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Concert in the Park Series or Make a Wish Foundation.

Carol A. Durnil, 69, of Kewanee, Il. died at 12:25 A.M. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in the emergency room at OSF St Luke Medical Center in Kewanee. Carol was born December 10, 1946 in Kewanee the daughter of Clarence and Edna (Kaiser) Malone. She graduated from Kewanee High School with the class of 1965. Carol married
Michael W. Durnil on March 7, 1985 in Cambridge, Il. He survives along with two sons Michael (Meloney) Durnil II of Kewanee and Timothy A. Wells of Killeen, Tx., a granddaughter Megan Wells and three sisters Sheri, Pat and Carol.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in infancy.
Carol was a member of the Church of Peace, rural Kewanee. She loved baking, fishing, her pets and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Church of Peace rural Kewanee, Il. Pastor Dan Craig will officiate. Burial will be in the churches Garden of Peace cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Juanita M. Peed, 85, of Kewanee, Il. died at 2:11 P.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Juanita was born December 8, 1930 in Kewanee the daughter of Jacob and Mabel Walwer. She was reared and educated in Kewanee. Juanita married
John Peed Jr in August of 1947 in Kewanee. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Mark in 2013 and 10 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two daughters Sherry (Ken) Johnson of Kewanee, Shelly (Ed) Newcomb of Verona, Va., two sons Matt (Kathy) Peed of Port Charlotte, Fl., Marty Peed of Kewanee, daughter-in-law Crystal Peed of Kewanee, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Juanita had been employed as a waitress at the Wanee Farm Restaurant, Kewanee Boiler Co., Rashid's Grocery and cooked at the Kewanee Sale Barn. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family.
Private graveside services will be in the Pleasant View cemetery, Kewanee. Pastor Dan Craig will officiate. There will be no visitation. The Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. is in charge of arrangements.
James Leorman Walker

James Leorman "Jim" Walker, 47, of LaFayette, Il. died Thursday, December 17, 2015 in the emergency room at OSF St. Mary's Hospital in Galesburg. Jim was born January 31, 1969 in Moline, Il. the son of James Leorman and Janet (Derammelaere) Walker, Sr. He graduated from Moline High School in 1986.

Gayle Moore on October 3, 2008 in Kewanee. She survives along with three sons Philip (Krista) Walker of Alpha, Zack (Jacquelin) Walker of Orion and Jesse Werner of Alpha, three daughters Sarah (Fritz) Spencer of Wataga, Il., Janie Walker and Cassey Walker both of Apache Junction, Az., his father James (Fran) Walker of Rio, Il., his mother Janet Walker of East Moline, two stepdaughters Katie Corlett of Amana, Iowa, Jamie Corlett of Henderson, Ky., one stepson Jacob Corlett of Morrison, Il. six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and three sisters Susan (Chris) Sidener of Peoria, Il., Donna Engesser of Galva, Il. and Amy Walker of East Moline. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Jim was self-employed owning and operating Walker's Painting. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt track racing, NASCAR and above all spending time with his grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Pastor Dan Craig will officiate. Inurnment will be private at a later date. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or Ducks Unlimited.

Clara M. Walgrave, 97, of Kewanee, Il. died at 4:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Kewanee Care Home. Clara was born August 20, 1918 in Oneida, Iowa the daughter of Victor and Marie (Steenbekb) DeKeyser. She married
Charles Walgrave on August 1, 1942 in Annawan, Il. The couple farmed near Amboy, Illinois until his death in 1972. She then moved to Kewanee. Clara was also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are three sons James (Karen) Walgrave of Franksville, Wi, Steven Walgrave of Portland, Or., Paul Walgrave of Springfield, Va., five daughters Lois Goudreau of Boubonnais, Il., Mary Walgrave of Grants Pass, Or., Linda Walgrave of Bettendorf, Ia., Lorraine (Dr. Kenneth) Stillwell of Tacoma, Wa., and Deborah (Hal) Schaible of Missoula, Mt., eighteen grand and step grandchildren and eighteen great grand and step great grandchildren.
Clara was a member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church in Kewanee and St. John Paul II Parish. She volunteered many hours at her church, the Kewanee Senior Citizen Center and in the gift shop at Kewanee Hospital. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, crossword puzzles and meeting with friends at McDonalds. Her greatest pride and joy was her family.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Visitation Catholic Church, St. John Paul II Parish in Kewanee. Fr. Johndamaseni Zilimu will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Patrick's cemetery, Maytown, Il. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. on the 7th at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Robert H. Hepner on October 7, 1950 in Kewanee. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Fred and Joe Clark, two sisters Catherine and Mary and a great grandson.
Surviving are three sons Edward (Cathy) Hepner of San Antonio, Tx., Michael Hepner of Bishop Hill, Il. Douglas (Patty) Hepner of Kewanee, one daughter Connie (Don) Gerard of Kewanee, eleven grandchildren, Emma Hepner, Luke Hepner, Jessica Timmons, Michael Hepner, Lindsey Jackson, Morgan Garcia, Sarah Hepner, Katie Hepner, Gina DeWitt, Shawn "Mick" Gerard, Derek Gerard, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter due in March.
A homemaker, Gloria was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kewanee, the United Methodist Women, Ruth Circle and Church Women United. She enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her family and keeping up with her family on Facebook.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Rev. Martin Gutzmer will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Bishop Hill cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Kewanee.

Surviving is her husband, two daughters Shannon Murphy Jannie of Kewanee, Martha (Brandon) Gartin of Princeton, Il., two sons Gregory Murphy of Pierre, S.D. and Javier "Javi" Bermudez of Kewanee, eight grandchildren Tucker, Brooklyn, Maya, Olivia, Asa, Jada, Nayana and Carly, one sister Melanie (Roger) Wilkins of Bucyrus, Kansas, two brothers Charles (Cuca) Brown of Ottawa, Ks. and Kelly Walker of Kansas City, Ks. Also surviving are two step daughters Josie Ibarra and Jeanny Ibarra of Kewanee, their families and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents.
She was employed at Excelled Sheepskin in Kewanee. She was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals and the Kansas University Jayhawks. Charlene will be remembered for her love of family and especially her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Pastor Dan Craig will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant View cemetery, Kewanee. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home. Leanore Ellen Kuster, 98, of rural Kewanee, Il. died at her home at 12:25 A.M. Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Leanore was born June 16, 1916 in Neponset, Il. the daughter of Laurence and Ellen (Gould) Bennett. Leanore graduated from Neponset High School in 1933. She married
Alvin Arthur Kuster on December 2, 1939 in Neponset. The couple farmed in the Kewanee area for many years. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Fred, Glen and Howard Bennett and two sisters Vera Nanninga and Betty Carpenter.
Surviving is one son Bennett Kuster of rural Kewanee, two daughters Rosemary (Bill) Vetos of Golden, Co. and Alice (John) Salonya of Arvada, Co., eight grandchildren, Jennifer Cabral, Julie Vetos, Abigail (Dr. Josh) Brauer, Todd Kuster, Dr. Chris (Dr. Dee Ann) Kuster, Beth (Gary) Sierens, Nik (Ina) Kuster, Laura (Harley) Hepner and, twelve great grandchildren Isaac, Hope, Faith Kuster, Paige and Bennett Sierens, Shaylee, Atticus and Evangeline Kuster, Ava and Liam Brauer and Ella and Ethan Hepner. Also surviving is one sister Verna Cinnamon of Neponset, Il.
Leanore was a member of the Church of Peace, its Women’s guild and had sung in the church choir. She had also been a member of the Mother singers, Bob town Card Club and the Henry County Farm Bureau.
Leanore was known as “Mama 2” to those that knew her. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, painting pictures and watching Illini basketball. Leanore also enjoyed the farm life. The ways of farm living were very important to her.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the Church of Peace. Pastor Dan Craig will officiate. Burial will be in the Garden of Peace cemetery at the church. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday, December 9th at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Memorials may be directed to the Church of Peace Improvement fund.
