Helen McGeehon

Helen McGeehon, 94, died April 1, 2006, in her home in Peoria, Ariz.

Services will be conducted at First Presbyterian Church, 12225 N. 103rd Ave. in Sun City at 1:30 p.m on Wednesday, April 12.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name can be made to her favored local charity, Sun Cities 4 Paws Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 426, Youngtown, AZ 85363-0426.

Corrine Ryner

A funeral service for Corrine Ryner was conducted by Pastor Paul Lydic at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Pastor Ken Muck participated. Donna Winbigler and Debbie Edwards provided the music. Interment was in the Mosher cemetery, rural Monmouth.

Pallbearers were Rick Winbigler, Randy Winbigler, Roy Winbigler, Bob Carson, Bob Hartzell, Leroy Edwards and Scott Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers were Marvin Carson and Hugh Winbigler.

Ida Mae Roe

Ida Mae Roe, 89, of Stronghurst, died at 4:05 p.m. Sunday April 2, 2006, in the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2006, at the Stronghurst Christian Church, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. with Armand Harpin officiating.

Interment will be in the Stronghurst cemetery.

Memorials have been established for the Henderson County Health Dept. and the Stronghurst Christian Church. Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst is in charge of arrangements.

Edith M. Granfors

Edith M. Granfors, 93, of San Antonio, Texas, (formerly of Monmouth) left us to join her Lord and Savior on March 23, 2006, at Stone Oak Care Center, San Antonio, Texas.

It was Edith's wishes that her remains be donated to science.

Sally Lynn Rogers

Memorial services for Sally Lynn Rogers were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2006, at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Alexis. Rev. Stephen Moore of Metropolitan Community Church officiated. Bonnie Browns served as organist and Karen Simkins was soloist. The selections of "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art" were played. Casketbearers were Mike Volcker, Billy McDonald, Justin Johnson, Tommy Proksch, Tim Anderson, and Jimmy Ringer. Interment was at Mt. Vernon cemetery, North Henderson, Ill.

Corrine K. Ryner

Corrine K. (Kathryn) Ryner, 86, of Monmouth, died at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006, at her residence at the Courtyard Estates in Monmouth.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth with the Pastor Paul Lydic officiating.

Interment will be in the Mosher cemetery, Rural Monmouth.

Friends may call on Monday after noon and Tuesday at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. The family will be present to receive friends on Monday evening 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

A memorial is being established for the Gerlaw Christian Church or the Kate Jenkins Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Richard C. Clark

A funeral service for Richard C. "Dick" Clark was held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2006, at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Alexis. The Rev. Delores DeArmond of North Henderson United Methodist Church officiated. Bonnie Brown served as the organist and Beverly Clark as soloist. Selection of "How Great Thou Art" and "I Know Who Holds The Key" were played. Graveside military honors were by James Harvey Scott American Legion Post #89 of Alexis. Commander of the squad was Rich Bailey, chaplain was Bill Totten, bugler was Curtis Moore. Interment was in Alexis cemetery, Alexis.

Ida Mae Roe

Ida Mae Roe, 89, of Stronghurst, died at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2006, in the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa. Arrangements are pending at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst.

Nancy Martin

Nancy Martin, 75, passed away in Chicago on April 30, 2004.

A graveside committal service for her ashes will be conducted by Rev. Delbert Icenogle on Saturday, September 4 at 3 p.m. in the Sugar Tree Grove cemetery in Hale Township.

No visitation hours are planned.

Turnbull Funeral Home, Monmouth, is in charge of the arrangements.

Ralph Holeman

Ralph M. Holeman, 85, of Roseville, died Saturday, August 28, 2004, at 5:10 p.m. at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2004, in the Roseville cemetery with Rev. James Oliver officiating. A military service will be conducted by the Roseville American Legion Post.

Friends may call from noon Monday, August 30, 2004, until the hour of service at Corman Memorial Home, Roseville.

Memorial contributions may be left for the Roseville Senior Citizens Friendship Center and the Roseville American Legion.

Kevin Watson

Kevin Watson, 56, of Roseville, California, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2004, in Roseville, California.

He was born February 10, 1948, in Monmouth to Joe B. and Jane Whiteman Watson of Little York.

Kevin grew up in Little York and attended Yorkwood High School, graduating from Roseville High School in Roseville, CA, in 1966. He attended Michigan State University and graduated from Cal State Sacramento.

He was a C.P.A. in the Sacramento area for nearly 30 years.

He served two tours of combat in Vietnam as a Green Beret earning two Bronze Stars for valor and a Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife Jan, daughters Michelle, Monica and Jane and a son, Michael, all of Roseville, CA; his parents, Joe and Mary Beth Watson; brothers, Bill Watson and Tom Watson; and sisters, Carol Cardoza and Nancy Sellnow, all living in California.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Ray and Elsie Whiteman and his mother Jane Whiteman Watson, all of Little York.

Todd Callihan

Todd Callihan, 37, of Little York, died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at Turnbull Funeral Home, Monmouth.

Cremation will be accorded following the service.

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at the funeral home, where his family plans to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.

A memorial is being established.

Nels Westlund

Nels S. Westlund, 90, formerly of the Terre Haute community, died at 4:20 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2004, in the Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center, Stronghurst.

Arrangements are pending at Banks & Beals Funeral Home, Stronghurst.

Elaine Allen

Elaine Allen, 64, of Alexis, died at 1:35 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2004, at her home in Alexis.

She was born April 4, 1940, in Monmouth, the daughter of Rolland and Edith (Bertelsen) Niles. She attended Gerlaw and Alexis grade schools and graduated from Alexis High School in 1958.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2004, in the Alexis United Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Phil Cooper officiating.

Burial will be in the Alexis cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2004, at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis, where her family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be given to the Alexis United Presbyterian Church.

DeWitt "Buck" Gilbert

DeWitt C. "Buck" Gilbert, 77, of Roseville, died at 10:43 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2004, in the LaMoine Christian Nursing Home, Roseville.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Corman Memorial Home, Roseville.
