Nancy K. Hartigan, 56, associate dean and director of executive education at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, died
Aug. 9 [1994] at her home in Glenview.
A memorial service was held Aug. 15 at Alice Millar Chapel and Religious Center.
Mrs. Hartigan joined Kellogg in 1974 as a secretary. In 1985, she was appointed director of executive programs and in 1988 she was named associate dean.
She headed the James L. Allen Center, the first residential facility built at a university to house executives attending educational programs. The Allen Center teaches thousands of business executives each year.
Mrs. Hartigan served on several boards and served as chair of UNICON, an international board for directors of business executive programs.
She Hartigan studied concert piano at the Chicago Conservatory of Music and received a bachelorŐs degree from Mundelein College.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Coleman and Elizabeth Hauf; two sons, Patrick and Timothy Hartigan; and three grandchildren. Her husband, Richard, was a professor at Loyola University until he died
two years ago.
