Herman H. Hutcheson
Herman H. Hutcheson, 83, of Dale, died 1:51 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.
He was married
to Lucille Lemay, who survives.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Curtis Yarbrough officiating. Burial will be at the Digby Hill cemetery in Dale. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at the funeral home with Masonic rites at 7 p.m. by Walpole Tuscon Masonic Lodge No. 630.
He is survived by two sons, one daughter, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Lillian M. Davis
Lillian M. Davis, 90, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, in Carson City, Nev.
She was born Jan. 30, 1911, in Saline County to the late Otto and Della (Moore) Simpson.
Lillian attended schools in Harrisburg and Business College in Pontiac, Mich. She retired as office manager for Osmun Stores, headquartered in Pontiac. She and her husband, Jack Davis, moved to Nevada in 1978.
She is survived by her son, John Philip Davis, Sparks, Nev.; one sister, and 11 nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 11 siblings and her husband.
Internment will be in Ledford.
Billie Louise Howard
Billie Louise Howard, 82, of 724 Harrell Ave., Omaha, died 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at Lindale cemetery in Eldorado. The Rev. Todd White will officiate. Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha.
She was born Dec. 15, 1918, in Scammon, Kan., to the late Roy S. and Eva Jane (Hall) Steinbrook. She married
Bailey Miller in January 1939, who preceded her in death November 1978. She married
M.W. Howard in June 1963, and he preceded her in death September 1987.
She had owned and operated the Dodge City Nursing Manor in Dodge City, Kansas.
She was a Methodist by faith and belonged to the D.A.R. of Dodge City, Kan., the Order of the Eastern Star Equality chapter, and was a White Shrine member.
She is survived by a son, Larry T. Miller, Omaha; a brother, Robert (Judy) Steinbrook, Omaha; two nieces, Connie Brockett, Omaha and Janet Wilson, Edwardsville; and a grandson, James A. Miller, Taos, N.M.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Lorene Upchurch Steinbrook.
The family suggests donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, 1300 U.S. Hwy 45 North, Eldorado, Illinois, 62930.
Margaret Lawrence
Margaret Lawrence, 88, of 914 Alexander St., Eldorado, died 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at her residence.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at the funeral home. She was born July 12, 1913, in Eldorado to Emmitt and Mary (Hill) Hibbs.
She was a school secretary, a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist, and belonged to the Eldorado Senior Citizens and Home Extension Better Homes.
She is survived by a son, Jerry (Barbara) Lawrence, Carterville; a sister, Elizabeth (Becky) Leithliter, Mt. Carmel; four grandchildren, Christopher Lawrence, Tracy Hale, Amy Turner, and Samantha Lawrence; four great-grandchildren; and three nephews, Tom, Steve, and David Hibbs.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Earl Hibbs, and one sister, Louise Collins.
Percy L. Gooch
Percy L. Gooch, 62, of rural Route 3, Princeton, Ind., died 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Ind. Burial will be in the Sand Hill cemetery in Princeton. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, five sons, two daughters-in-law, and 14 grandchildren.
Laverne Odle
Laverne Odle, 71, of Harrisburg, died 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at her residence.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg with the Rev. Duke Williams officiating. Burial will be in Lindale cemetery in Eldorado. Visitation is 9 to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
She was born in Harrisburg Feb. 28, 1930, to George and Mary (Holloman) Seets.
She was a retired welder for O.A. Sutton Fabrication and a member of Equality Full Gospel Church.
She is survived by four sisters, Sylvia Herdon, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Kay Wilson, Stella Wright, and Hazel Hutchison, all of Harrisburg; two brothers, Bill Seets, Alton, Daniel Seets, Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie White, and three brothers, Jack, Wayne, and John Seets.
Ramona E. Myers
Ramona E. Myers, 73, of 1720 Oglesby Rd., Harrisburg, died 11 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Hillcrest cemetery in Carterville. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. It is requested that those who wish to attend the graveside service, gather at the cemetery.
She was born Nov. 18, 1928, in Green Cove Springs, Fla., to the late H.D. and Mary Elizabeth (Chamness) Epting. She married
Paul Laverne Myers Sr. on Dec. 31, 1952, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2001.
She was a retired secretary for the Saline County Board and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in South Carolina.
She is survived by two sons, Paul L. Myers Jr. of Harrisburg, Dr. John (Dana) Myers, Marion; a daughter, Elizabeth (Steven) Rees, Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, Joshua and Tyler Myers, Mandy (Todd) Fort, Dustin Rees, Shawn Rees, Sara and Amy Myers; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Nik Fort.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
Clarence L. Hedger
Clarence L. Hedger, 59, of 1900 N. Main St. Apt 3 B, Eldorado, died 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.
He was the widower of Anna Hedger.
A graveside memorial will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Wolf Creek cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law.
Gladys A. Bottomley
Gladys A. Bottomley, 92, of Carrier Mills Nursing Home, died 3:50 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2001.
She was the widow of J.A. Bottomley.

Michael Lee Poirot
Michael Lee Poirot, 26, of Vincennes, Ind., formerly of Harrisburg, died 3:35 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at 5-Star Coal Mine in Petersburg, Ind.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Jeff Rush officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Garden cemetery in Harrisburg, with full military honors by Harrisburg American Legion George Hart Post No. 167. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec., 2, 2001, at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 1, 1975, in Eldorado, to Roger and Jackye (Lee) Poirot. He married
Brandi Tungate on June 19, 2001. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a coal miner.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a son, Aaron Poirot, Vincennes, Ind.; two brothers, David and Jeremy Klope, Harrisburg, a sister, Amelia Klope, Harrisburg; his stepmother, Clara Poirot, Harrisburg; his stepfather, Jeff Klope, Harrisburg; his mother- and father-in-law, Charlotte Smith and Randy Tungate; and his grandparents, Wanda Lee, Betty Klope, Peggy Poirot, Ellen and John Koker.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse Lee, James Klope, and Joseph Poirot.
