Dorothy Elaine Cecil Baker
Dorothy Elaine Cecil Baker, 77, of Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, formerly of Paducah, Ky., died 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Sunset Lawn cemetery in Harrisburg with the Rev. Mike Davis officiating. There will be no visitation or funeral service at Reed Funeral Chapel. It is requested that those wishing to attend the graveside service, gather at the cemetery.
She was born March 20, 1925, in Harrisburg to the late Ernest Earl and Sarah Emily (Hunsinger) Baker.
She was Presbyterian by faith and a caretaker for the elderly.
She is survived by two brothers, Donald E. (Helen) Baker of Harrisburg and Frank L. (Barbara) Baker of Waverly, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Judith Ann Wallace
Judith Ann Wallace, 61, of 1900 Dorris Heights Road, Harrisburg, died 8:40 a.m. Sunday, June 30, 2002, at St. Louis University Hospital.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Pankeyville Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernie Fowler officiating and the Rev. John Lee assisting. Burial will be in Sunset Garden cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
She was born June 23, 1941, in Alton to Joseph Henry and the late Beulah Golden (Barnes) Goebel. On August 29, 1959, she married
Deon Wallace, who survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pankeyville Baptist Church.
In addition to her father and husband, she is survived by a daughter, Dedee (Greg) Lhamon of Waterloo; a sister, Sue (Chuck) Oglesby of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; two grandchildren, Taylor and Rachel Lhamon; and several aunts, uncles, one niece and onr nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Pankeyville Baptist Church Building Fund.

Mr. Allie Myers, 90, of McLeansboro, died 4:25 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center in McLeansboro.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Blooming Grove Baptist Church in McLeansboro with the Rev. Steve Shoultz and the Rev. Chris Hortin officiating. Burial will be in Blooming Grove cemetery near McLeansboro.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro and 10 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church.
Mary Duggins
Mary Duggins, 88, of Evansville, Ind., died 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Deaconess Hospital.
Mary was employed for 20 years at Neighborhood Drugs. She attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
Mary is survived by daughters Connie Jourdan and Barbara Kelle, both of Evansville, Ind.; a son, Fred Duggins of Harrisburg; grandchildren Lynn Marshall, Gregory Jourdan, Michael, Mark and Todd Duggins, Kimberly Farney, Sue Kreig, Jane Dick, Mary Ann Eickhoff and Brian Kelle; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Dr. Louis H. Dorsch, burial will be at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may call 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2002, at Alexander West Chapel.
Donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

Mary Bernice Curtis Lockley, 81, of Galatia, died 2:50 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2002, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Mt. Pleasant Social Brethren Church with the Rev. Blake Bradley and the Rev. Hubert Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Hill cemetery in Broughton. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, and 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
She is survived by a son, two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Ken Cook officiating. Burial will be in Palestine cemetery No. 2 in Omaha. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, at the funeral home.

Max L. Quick, 82, of Clarksville, Tenn., formerly of Eldorado, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home in Clarksville. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 1 p.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Alma G. Quick; a son; a daughter; a brother; a sister and nieces and nephews.
Flossie May Thomas
Flossie May Thomas, 89, of Harrisburg, died 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at the Harrisburg Care Center.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Harl Cockrum and the Rev. Floyd Dorris officiating. Burial will be in Wise-Robinson cemetery near Ozark. Visitation is 10 a.m. to service time Friday with Eastern Star rites at 11 a.m.
She was born May 15, 1913, in New Burnside to the late Orlin A. and Pearl (Wheeler) Wise. On Oct. 16, 1932, she married
E.T. Thomas, who preceded her in death on May 23, 1985.
She was a member of Carrier Mills First Baptist Church. Order of Eastern Star Chapter 31 of Stonefort, the American Legion Auxiliary No. 167 of Harrisburg, Auxiliary to the VFW No. 1301 of Marion and Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2457 of Marion.
She is survived by a son, John W. Thomas and a daughter, Alice Hankins, both of Harrisburg; two granddaughters, Geri (John) Thilking of Virginia and Rhonda (Carl) Smith of Missouri; two grandsons, Larry Hankins of Harrisburg and John (Jackie) Thomas II of West Virginia; six great-grandsons, Jeffrey, Brian and David Thilking of Virginia; Colt Smith of Missouri and Brian and Eric Thomas of West Virginia; three great-granddaughters, Stephanie Smith of Missouri and Felicia and Katilin Thomas of West Virginia; a great-great-grandson, Levi William Cypret of Missouri; a sister, Mary Simmons of Michigan; a brother, James Wise of California and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, a son-in-law and a grandson.
Venita G. (Bailey) Benham
Venita G. (Bailey) Benham, age 76, of Evansville, Ind., died on Thursday, June 27, 2002, at the Good Samaritan Home.
She was born September 29, 1925, in Carrier Mills, the daughter of Fred and Nellie (Chase) Bailey.
Venita moved to Evansville to attend Lockyears Business College and graduated from Lockyears Business College.
She began her work career as a bookkeeper at Common Wealth Loan Company and later she worked at the Old Courthouse.
Venita was a delegate to the Democratic State Convention.
She retired in 1988 from Zeidler Florist.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Otis L. Benham, Evansville, Ind.; a daughter and son-in-law: Gale A. and Galen Avery, Bowling Green, Ky.; two grandchildren, Jason and Brian Avery; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald L. Benham, who died on November 8, 1998, and by a brother, Victor Bailey.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2002, at Browning Funeral Home, Rev. Mary Hendrickson officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.

Henry Milligan
Henry Milligan, of 1115 Kerr St., Eldorado, passed away 1:40 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2002, at his residence.
Henry is survived by his wife, Wanda, and one son, Bob and wife Ginny of Eldorado.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jennifer Belcher, Jeff Milligan and wife Andrea, and Bridget Milligan. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Maisey Belcher and Nolan Milligan.
Henry was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
He was retired from Brushy Creek Coal Co.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Watson Funeral Home. The Rev. Art Watson, assisted by the Rev. Earl Vaughn, will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Valley cemetery in Rudement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Milligan; two sisters and four brothers. A niece, Vicki Maloney, also preceded him in death.
