Rosie Wassmer, 75, of Evansville, Ind., formerly of Eldorado, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Angel River Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2002, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Evansville, Ind., with the Rev. Ted Tempel officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2002, at Browning Funeral Home in Evansville, Ind., and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
She is survived by three daughters, three sons, a brother, 16 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Lillian Marie Gowins, 87, died 2:28 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2002, at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare with the Rev. Glen "Bud" Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Elizabethtown. Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2002, at the funeral home.
Bonnie Mallady
Bonnie Mallady, 63, of 1320 Oak St., Harrisburg, died 12:08 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2002, at J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg with the Rev. Harold Miller officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Methodist cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
She was born July 31, 1938, in Harrisburg to the late Harry Weatherington and Flora (Seets) Street. She was married
to Billy E. Mallady, who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1991.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Honeycomb Church of God in Karbers Ridge.
She is survived by a son, Billy Mallady and his fiancee Teri Hartman of Harrisburg; two daughters, Kathy (Dennis) Hatton of Omaha and Connie (Tom) Stevers of Harrisburg; two sisters, Marlene Davis and LaVerne Hale, both of Harrisburg; two brothers, the Rev. Gene Weatherington of Fairdale, Ky., and Russell Weatherington of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Shauna Gholson, Elisa, Emily, and Tyler Hatton, and Adam Stevers; and two great-grandchildren, Catryna and Andrew Stevers.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Foster.
Velma Coleen Littlefield
Velma Coleen Littlefield, 63, of 120 S. Land St., Harrisburg, died 8:17 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Saline Care Center.
In honor of her wishes, the body is to be cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Ledford cemetery in Ledford. Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born Jan. 4, 1939, in Harrisburg, to the late Leslie and Opal (Brothers) Waltz.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Kenny Littlefield of Galatia; a sister, Betty Ann Angell of Harrisburg; and a grandson, John Littlefield of Galatia.

Arthur Truitt, 86, of Golconda, died 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at Pope County Care Home in Golconda.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2002, at Golconda First Baptist Church with the Rev. Allan Speers and Nolan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Vienna Fraternal cemetery in Vienna. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2002, at Aly Funeral Home in Golconda and after 1 p.m. Sunday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, two sons, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Charles Eugene Crider, 35, of Eldorado, died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2002, at Westwood cemetery in Shawneetown with the Rev. Bill Jones officiating. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by a sister and a brother.

Memorial services for Arlene Zaverl will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Midway, Minn. with the Rev. Russ Baustian officiating. Services are provided by Bauman-Cron, a Bauman Family Funeral Home in Virginia, Minn.
Arlene Zaverl, 77, a longtime resident of Virginia, died peacefully in her home on Monday, Feb. 4, 2002. She was born on July 13, 1924, in Harrisburg, the daughter of Everett and Madge (Carpenter) Daugherty. She was a graduate of Harrisburg High School and married
Albin Zaverl in Hibbing in 1963. She was a dance instructor at Arthur Murray in St. Louis, Mo., and in Virginia, and also worked as a beautician. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Midway and loved to play golf.
She is survived by her husband, Albin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
